Chapter 424 – Aura VS Aura

Karzon blocked with both hamrs. Sparks exploded. Steel ground steel.

Lama—bloody but breathing—intervened next. Her mimic whip lashed toward Lux, copying his Midas Touch aura.

He dodged, barely. It grazed his cheek—and part of his jaw glinted gold.

Sira snapped, diving toward Lama.

"Oh no, you don’t."

The two collided mid-air. Claw vs. chain. Aura vs. aura.

And across the battlefield, Dravik—still half-gold and bound—let out a final roar, tearing one tendril from his arm and hurling it like a weapon.

It slamd into Sira.

She crashed into the street—hard.

Lux turned instantly. "Sira!"

A whip caught his ankle.

Lama pulled.

Karzon swung again.

Lux teleported up and over, twisting midair—daggers slashing toward both warlords simultaneously.

Blood sprayed.

This wasn’t a one-sided massacre anymore.

This was three versus two.

And the do still burned.

[System Notice: Artifact effect—Ti Remaining: 12 minutes 41 seconds.]

[Recomndation: Please pay attention to the remaining ti.]

Lux panted, sweat beading on his neck. His vision flickered.

Sira rose from the crater she’d made, coughing once—grinning with blood on her teeth.

Lama floated opposite her, arm burned, but eyes sharp. Karzon and Dravik regrouped, both injured but still alive. Still dangerous.

Lux lifted a blade.

"We’re not done yet," he muttered.

Sira landed beside him.

"Ready for round two?"

"Always," Lux whispered. "Ti to show them what Hell’s next CFO and Pride heiress really look like in profit mode."

Sira cracked her neck. Her eyes burned red, veins of pride mana pulsing just beneath her skin. The glint in her smile wasn’t human—it was highborn, hell-blooded arrogance mixed with the thrill of violence. Behind her, golden heat shimred in the shape of wings—not solid, but blazing with emotion and pedigree.

Lux’s aura flared in sync, the black-gold glow of Greed signature mana crackling across his armor like tendrils of molten ink. His pupils dilated into thin vertical slits. Coins floated lazily around him in spirals—remnants of the [Coin of Equal Blood] artifact. Each one glead with etched runes and refused to fall. The artifact’s influence was still in full effect.

[System Reminder: Artifact Duration – 11 minutes 32 seconds remaining.]

[Deactivation: Manual only. Authorized user: Lux Vaelthorn.]

He smirked. "Perfect."

The warlords regrouped, bloodied but pissed.

Karzon’s golden-encased arm cracked as he flexed it—small pieces chipping off as molten skin tried to break free. His hamr scraped the ground, leaving glowing scars in the stone.

Dravik, half-gilded and breathing like a bloated furnace, reached into his stomach cavity and pulled out another corpse—this one fresher, twitching—and slamd it into the ground. It rose, barely alive, stitched with void magic.

Lama floated just above them, her mimic whip recharged and her eyes locked on Sira with the kind of burning hatred that only Pride ever inspired in soone. Her hair was tangled. Her armor cracked. But she smiled back anyway.

Sira licked a sar of blood off her lower lip. "Ready when you are, darlings."

Lux and Sira moved as one.

Sira surged forward first—her wings whipping out behind her like a flaming banner, claws shimring. She twisted mid-air, launching a Pride-charged kick that forced Lama to whip upward in defense. The blow collided—hard. The sound echoed like a gong made of ego and fla.

Lama flipped back, skidding across the air and dragging a new slash across the sky as she moved. She copied Sira’s claw swipe with her mimic ability—but the glow flickered.

"Try harder!" Sira yelled, and her eyes blazed.

Below, Karzon leapt toward Lux, hamr swinging low, dragging heat and cursed slag behind it. Lux dipped under the swing, teleporting three feet to the left and slashing with both daggers—one aid for Karzon’s exposed leg, the other for his hip joint.

The first hit. Blood burst. The second clanged off hardened skin.

Karzon spun, trying to grab Lux with his off-hand.

Lux ducked.

Orbs whirled around him and fired like slingshots—two slamd into Karzon’s back in rapid succession.

Boom! Boom!

Smoke. Sparks. Montum shifted.

Dravik made his move—trying to flank Lux from behind while he was focused on Karzon. His mouth opened, teeth unhinged, arms spread like a gluttonous god of decay.

Lux didn’t turn.

"Sira," he called sharply.

"I got it!"

Sira broke away from Lama in a flash of golden light—teleporting mid-air, spinning once, and landing squarely on Dravik’s back with her claws sunk deep into his shoulders.

He howled.

Lux whirled and touched him again with his glowing hand—activating Midas Touch right where Sira’s claws pierced.

Gold spread around her hands, creeping up Dravik’s neck like a deadly vine.

"You good?" he asked, breath slightly ragged.

She hissed as Dravik slamd himself backwards into the ground—trying to crush her beneath his weight.

"I’ve had worse on date night," she grunted.

Lux didn’t hesitate.

"Dark Healing."

A black glow shimred between them, flowing over her limbs like smoke caught in moonlight. The wounds on her thigh and shoulder closed in seconds. Her aura pulsed stronger.

[Skill Activated: Dark Healing]

[Target: Sira Shadowborn]

[Recovery: 18% HP. Status Cleanse: Minor.]

[Flirtation Boost: Implied.]

Sira gave him a smug look. "You’re gonna make blush, CFO," she purred.

He smirked. "We don’t have ti to flirt. Save it for later."

And then, Lux spun to deflect a flying piece of molten debris from Karzon—who roared in rage and charged again. His golden arm was half-broken, but his other hamr burned bright, ready to flatten.

Lux threw three orbs at once. They ricocheted off the do walls, changed angle, and ca screaming back at Karzon’s knees.

He jumped—just barely avoiding them.

"Aw, c’mon," Lux said dryly. "Stay grounded for once in your over-budget life."

Karzon landed and punched the ground—sending a ripple of lava outward.

Lux jumped—wings flaring—and hovered just long enough to flip his daggers, cross them mid-air, and dive.

His boots slamd into Karzon’s shoulder. One blade plunged into the forge demon’s collarbone.

Karzon roared and grabbed Lux by the waist midair—trying to slam him down.

Lux didn’t resist.
