Chapter 563 – Hybrid Greed

It was almost noon...

And the silence in the car? Heavy.

Like velvet and smoke. Thick enough to taste.

The engine humd low. A soft piano instruntal played from the car’s sound system. Sothing expensive and old. It filled the quiet without pushing it away.

Lux leaned against the side window, elbow perched just right, fingers lightly tapping his lips. His coat was undone. His shirt collar was open, showing the lingering scar from earlier. The chain on his wrist clinked with each faint movent. But his eyes?

They weren’t really looking at anything.

Not even at Ely, who sat beside him, stiff and far too quiet.

He was still analyzing what he saw.

[System Notice: Lylith Seravelle’s Soul Composition – 93% Confird]

[Substructure Interlink: Dormant – Emotional Access Triggers Locked]

[Affinity: Unbound Potential]

[Suggestion: Monitor. Potential enemy.]

The last line made Lux squint slightly.

Damn system.

Beside him, Ely sat with both hands folded on her lap, gaze forward, lips slightly parted. The tension in her shoulders betrayed the swirl of things in her head. Her lashes twitched like she wanted to blink it all away, but her pupils kept trembling slightly. She was trying to process everything.

The Hell.

The princes.

Lux’s strange summoned beast.

And more than anything...

The fact that Hell had vaults. Economics. Investnt networks. Redistribution programs. Asset. Economic system.

It was all...

Way too similar to the mortal realm.

She didn’t expect that.

Hell, to her, was supposed to be fire and pitchforks, not... inheritance scams and sealed bank codes.

Lux leaned back with a soft sigh, rubbing his temple. "You’re quiet."

Ely blinked and turned toward him slowly. "So are you."

He shrugged, eyes still a bit unfocused. "I’m always quiet after reading soone’s soul."

That made her flinch.

Lux gave a small, amused hum. "Don’t worry. Not yours. Soone else."

"I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that Hell even has a Departnt of Finance..." she muttered. "Like. Seriously? Vaults? Ledgers? Loan systems?"

"We have dividend wars. Market monopolies. Secret trade circles. Tax evasion leagues. Real estate gangs." Lux paused. "Oh, and a hostile takeover of Lust’s southern district through beauty pageants and legal prostitution models."

Ely turned slowly to stare at him. "What the actual fck."

He gave a casual smirk. "Yeah. Hell’s... a little more evolved than most churches make it sound."

Ely ran a hand through her hair, ssing it up. She looked disoriented in the hottest way. Like soone who tried to read a full contract while hungover. "It’s not fair you look this relaxed while saying all of this."

"I’m the CFO of Greed," he said, smug. "Of course, I look relaxed."

Then suddenly...

A voice slid into the car like silk dipped in mischief.

"If you want to go to Avariel’s, save your energy," the voice said lazily. "I already took care of it."

Ely nearly scread.

She spun around so fast her seatbelt choked her. "What the—?!"

Lux just glanced at the rearview mirror and exhaled. "That fast?"

There, legs elegantly crossed, dress hugging her thighs like a velvet cri, Sira sat lounging in the backseat like she’d been there the whole ride. Her hair spilled over her shoulders. Red lips curled in a satisfied little smile.

"I’m fast~" Sira chid, winking.

Ely blinked. "You— you were not there five seconds ago—!"

Sira’s smirk grew as she leaned forward just enough to rest her chin on Lux’s seat shoulder. "You look surprised, Ely. Didn’t Lux tell you about ? And us? I thought he already told you everything... especially since he agreed to this whole escort session."

Ely, eyes wide, gulped. "He told . But still... you just appeared out of nowhere. You shocked !"

Sira tapped her lip playfully. "Wait until you see pop up on his lap while he’s driving. That’s much worse~"

"Gods..." Ely muttered, rubbing her face with both hands.

Lux raised a brow. "Sira. Condition?"

She sat up straighter, business mask clicking into place like it was second nature. "I t up with Ariel and their parents as your representative. Made sure they were fine."

Lux narrowed his eyes. "And?"

Sira gave him that grin, the one that always ant sothing extra spicy was about to drop.

"I may have... ssed up with that Lamia’s vaults~" she sang.

Lux turned his head fully now. "You serious?"

"Oh, absolutely," Sira purred.

Ely froze. "Wait... ssed up how?"

Sira’s smile turned wicked. "Corvus told where the vaults were. I teleported. Walked right in. Grabbed everything I could find that didn’t belong. So? I returned to their rightful temples. Others? Back to the original owners or descendants. And the rest? I distributed to those in need. Even uploaded records. I am a good devil." She leaned toward Lux. "Tell I’m a good girl~."

Lux’s mouth parted slightly. "Good girl."

Sira licked her lower lip. "Corvus also hacked her accounts. Transferred assets across charity networks and support systems. Hundreds of private donations. Discreet. Anonymous. And untrackable."

"I bet she’s screaming right now," Lux muttered.

"Oh, she’s more than screaming," Sira said, adjusting her dress. "She’s probably trying to bribe her own bank right now. And losing."

Ely stared between them, stunned. "You... you redistributed a royal Lamia’s entire artifact vault and hacked her accounts... in an hour?"

Sira nodded cheerfully. "Wasn’t even my record ti."

Ely shook her head. "You guys are demons."

Lux and Sira spoke in unison.

"We are."

The mood in the car shifted again, lighter, but also weirder. The windows blurred slightly as the outer enchantnts shifted to obscure the mortal road signs.

Ely glanced at Lux. "You really trust her to do all that without warning?"

Lux didn’t answer imdiately.

Just watched the road, then flicked on auto-drive. "There’s only a few people I trust to burn soone down and make it look like divine intervention. Sira’s one of them."

Sira’s smirk softened. "Aww~ You always know how to make a girl swoon, CFO."

He smiled and waved a hand absently. "Shut up."
