Chapter 580 – The Lie I Sell Best

Lullaby curled up in his lap now, arms lazily wrapped around his waist, her face resting just above his pelvis like she was hugging a warm plush toy. "Mmm... best seat in the palace."

Ely reached his side and leaned down, planting a kiss just over his heart.

Lux’s breath caught.

That wasn’t lust.

That was... sothing else.

He opened his mouth to speak, but didn’t. Just raised one hand, cupped the back of Ely’s head, and let her stay there, listening to the heartbeat she’d chosen to trust.

"You feel different," Ely whispered. "But not dangerous."

"That’s the lie I sell best," he murmured.

"You’re a bad liar," she said, lifting her head to et his eyes.

Lux exhaled. Slowly. "I know."

And then Sira leaned in again, all fire and dominance, licking a bold trail from his stomach up to his collarbone. "Enough talking," she said. "You promised a demonstration."

Lux cracked a grin. "That was dessert."

He leaned up slowly, hands wrapping around all three of them.

"But I haven’t even served the main course yet."

The words alone did it.

Sothing snapped in the room, like tension finally giving up on pretending it could hold. The dining room reacted instantly. The lights dimd into warr hues, the enchanted roses on the walls releasing a heavier perfu, sweet and intoxicating, like sumr fruit left too long in the sun. Velvet curtains stirred even though there was no breeze.

Lux shifted, rolling his shoulders, then pushed himself up on his elbows atop the dining table. The movent was lazy. Confident. He looked like a man who knew exactly what he was about to unleash and enjoyed the anticipation more than the act itself.

Sira moved first, obviously.

She grabbed the waistband of his pants with both hands and yanked.

"No more teasing," she snapped. "You’ve had us hanging long enough."

Lux laughed under his breath, low and pleased, and lifted his hips just enough to let her pull them free. Fabric slid away. Cool air hit warm skin. The mont his pants were gone, the heat in the room spiked again, like the room itself leaned closer to watch.

Ely froze.

Not because she was afraid.

Because she felt it.

That presence. That gravity. Lux’s incubus body wasn’t just visually perfect, sculpted like sothing designed rather than born. It radiated sothing deeper. A pull that didn’t drag her forward violently, but gently rewired her instincts, whispering that being close to him was right. Safe. Wanted.

Her breath hitched.

"Oh..." she murmured before she could stop herself.

Lux noticed.

Of course he did.

Ely swallowed.

"I feel warm," she admitted, fingers curling on her own body. "Everywhere."

"That’s normal," Sira said smugly, already tugging at her own clothes. "He does that."

Fabric hit the floor one piece at a ti. Sira didn’t strip delicately. She peeled herself out of everything with hungry impatience, climbing back onto the table on her knees like she belonged there. Lullaby followed more slowly, pushing her sleeves down, blinking sleepily as if she wasn’t fully awake yet but absolutely committed to whatever ca next.

"Clothes are annoying," Lullaby muttered as hers slipped free. "They interrupt cuddling."

Lux snorted. "You’re not wrong."

Ely hesitated for half a heartbeat longer than the others.

Then she exhaled.

And let go.

Her clothes slid down her arms and over her hips, pooling at her feet. She felt exposed, yes, but also strangely... proud. Her body humd, nerves alive in a way she’d never experienced before. Every sound felt louder. Every scent richer. Wine. Roses. Lux.

Her eyes flicked to him, and she flushed instantly when she realized he’d been watching her the entire ti.

"Beautiful," he said simply.

The word hit harder than any touch.

Sira rolled her eyes. "Focus, elf. You’re the appetizer."

Ely’s heart stuttered.

Before she could respond, Lux reached to the side and grabbed one of the bowls still sitting on the table. Not wine. Sothing smaller. Sauce bowl. He turned it in his hand. But he didn’t know the sauce for.

Lux dipped two fingers into the bowl, lifted them slowly, watching the viscous liquid stretch and cling.

Ely watched, transfixed.

Lux turned toward her.

"Co here," he said, voice gentle but unmistakably commanding.

Her legs moved before her thoughts caught up.

He brushed his thumb along her lower lip first, slow, coaxing. Then he sared the sauce there, warm and sticky. Ely gasped softly. The taste hit her tongue, sweet enough to make her dizzy.

"Lux..." she whispered.

He smiled and traced it across her cheek next, then lower, along the curve of her shoulder, down to her chest, painting her skin with deliberate strokes like he was decorating dessert.

Ely’s thoughts scattered.

Every place he touched burned in the best way. Not pain. Awareness. Like her body was lighting up point by point, begging for attention she didn’t even know how to ask for.

Lux lifted his fingers to his mouth and licked them clean, eyes never leaving her face.

Ely whimpered.

He leaned down and followed the trail he’d left, lips warm, tongue slower than she expected. When he tasted her skin, she nearly collapsed. Her knees weakened, hands scrambling for sothing solid, landing in his hair.

"I feel like... I’m lting," she breathed.

"That’s just you paying attention," he murmured against her skin.

Sira scoffed loudly. "Hey. If she gets dessert, we want it too."

Lullaby nodded sleepily. "Sharing is important."

They both tugged at him, hands grabbing his arms, his shoulders, pulling him back toward the center of the table.

Sira reached for another bottle, this one unmistakably wine. She hooked a finger under Lux’s chin and tilted his head back with zero subtlety.

"Open," she ordered.

He did.

She poured.

The wine spilled over his lips, down his neck, tracing the lines of his throat and chest in dark rivulets. Lux hissed at the cold, then laughed, breathless.

Ely and Lullaby didn’t wait.

They leaned in instinctively. Ely’s lips brushed his chest, tasting wine mixed with his skin, and the combination made her head spin. Lullaby followed the trail lower, licking carefully, humming contentedly.

"Mmm," Lullaby sighed, her lips brushing along his chest. "You’re like candy soaked in juice."
