Chapter 640 – You Win

Lux finally moved. His hand caught her wrist.

Her breath hitched.

He stared at her. Eyes glowing. No smile now.

"You think seducing gets you out of this?"

She tilted her head, lips curling. "Doesn’t it?"

He didn’t blink. Didn’t answer.

She pushed. Her hips pressed forward. Her chest against his. She could feel his heat. His power. That scent of sin and control. That sheer, overwhelming presence that made every nerve in her body scream danger and every instinct shout more.

"Let prove I’m sorry," she whispered. "With my body."

His hand slid up her back. Slowly. Deliberately. Fingers pressing against the nape of her neck.

"I don’t need your body," he said quietly. "I have better."

Her heart cracked at that. But her pride refused to show it.

"So use anyway," she breathed. "As a lesson. As revenge. As whatever you want."

She grabbed his waistband. Bold. Reckless.

"Just don’t walk away again," she added. "Not when I’m like this."

Her robe dropped from her shoulders entirely.

The silk pooled around her coils, revealing her skin, her full breasts, the curve of her waist. She was beautiful. All lamias were. But she was queen-tier... elegant, dangerous, built like a sin turned into sculpture.

Her hand touched his chest again. Slid downward. She leaned in.

"You’re stronger than him now," she whispered. "I see it. I feel it. So take it."

She licked his neck, slow and sensual. Her fangs grazed skin.

"You win, Lux," she said softly. "Isn’t that what you wanted?"

He didn’t answer.

He just looked at her.

And in that second... she wondered if she had made the biggest mistake of her life. Or the smartest one.

Because his eyes weren’t lusty. They weren’t eager. They were... calm.

Cruelly calm.

And when he finally smirked, it was the kind of smirk that made her tail curl tighter and her thighs ache.

"You still don’t get it," he said.

She blinked.

"I didn’t co here to f*ck you," he murmured, voice close enough to lt steel. "I ca here to remind you... who owns what."

Her lips parted. Her pride stung. Her body pulsed.

And when he stepped back, leaving her flushed, bare, and breathless, she nearly whimpered.

Not from rejection.

From wanting more.

Damn him.

"You’re playing with ," she hissed, trying to wrap her coils back around herself. Not for modesty. For defense. For pride. Sothing to cover the gnawing humiliation burning beneath her skin.

Lux didn’t answer. Not right away.

He turned. Casually. Like this was any other room. Like she wasn’t stripped open and trembling inside it. He walked back to her bar. Picked up the sa half-full glass of that serpentine wine and took a long sip, ignoring her like she was just another stock that disappointed him.

"No," he finally said. "I ca here to propose a deal."

She blinked.

"A... deal?" Her voice cracked. She hated that.

Lux swirled the drink in his hand, not looking at her. "One you can’t say no to."

She narrowed her eyes.

"What do you want?" she asked, venom curling at the edge of her tongue.

He turned. Smiling again. Not warm. Not cold. Just precise. Like he was already five moves ahead and she’d just now picked up the ga board.

"Just ensuring you don’t target Ariel again," he said lightly. "Or interfere with any of my girls’ businesses."

She scoffed. Her tail thudded once against the marble behind her. "You’re threatening over that little rmaid?"

He humd. "Yeah. I am."

He sipped again. "She’s a bit ek. Not really my type. Classic liability profile. Emotional, scarred, no backbone yet. But..."

He looked at her, eyes glowing faint red.

"I understand her. Her past. Her pain. And she’s never tried to hurt . Never once picked a fight for her own gain. Unlike so people."

The weight in his words wasn’t lost on her.

"You cooperated with Zoltarin," he said. "You wore his mark. Let him into your territory. Fed him intel. You don’t get to play innocent."

"I never sold you out—"

"You never got the chance," he cut in, voice sharpening. "You just haven’t found the loophole yet. The mont you do, you’ll take it."

His stare pinned her again. She hated how fast her stomach dropped.

"You could take revenge on , Lylith. Maybe not directly. But through leverage. Maybe not now... But who knows in the future."

His voice dropped lower. "And as a CFO, I don’t let potential enemies slip."

She clenched her fists. "So what do you want?"

He walked forward again. Slow. Inevitable.

"Be my servant."

Her mouth dropped open. For a mont she didn’t breathe.

"?" she scoffed. "A servant? You must be out of your mind."

She was about to spit out a refusal when...

His palms hit the wall. Both sides of her head. Fast. Sudden. No windup. Just a bang of solid, dominant flesh against polished stone.

She jumped.

His body lood, boxing her in completely. His breath brushed her lips. His eyes, glowing red, burned straight through her.

"You don’t have a choice," he said, voice low and sharp. "Not after what you did."

"I didn’t—"

"I don’t care."

He leaned closer, lips brushing the shell of her ear.

"I have very bad trust issues," he whispered, and she felt her whole spine clench.

"So accept it... or—"

[Midas Touch Activated]

Both his palms began to glow.

Her eyes widened.

No... it wasn’t just light.

It was magic.

Pure Greed mana spilled out from his skin like liquid fire, creeping in beautiful, horrifying veins of gold across the wall behind her. The marble cracked and glead, shifting hues as the gold overtook it.

She gasped as the transformation spread fast... upward, downward, outward, until the entire wall was a sheet of 24-karat Midas corruption. Glimring. Flawless. Terrifying.

Then it spread further. The mana oozed like wildfire. Across the floor. Up the table legs. The expensive wine bottles turned to gold. The chandelier. The chairs. The fras. Everything in his mana’s radius warped into luxury.
