Chapter 74 – Second Pact [Part 1]
The room slled like sweat, sex, and heat.
The sheets were ruined — soaked, tangled, streaked with evidence of their collision.
Rava lay sprawled across the bed, chest heaving, skin flushed and glowing faintly under the dim lights. Her tentacles lazily draped across the mattress and Lux’s body, twitching every so often like the aftershocks still rippled through her bloodstream. The room was humid now, heavy, like the air itself couldn’t cool down after what they’d done.
And Lux?
He was still wide awake. Of course.
Not even winded.
His breathing was steady, his chest rising and falling as though all that sinful feral energy had been nothing but casual cardio. The faint sheen of sweat on his skin only made him look more dangerous. More untouchable. But his red eyes were locked entirely on her, and that warm, faintly amused smirk tugged at his lips like he was enjoying watching her mind try to reboot.
Rava swallowed thickly.
She felt wrecked.
Inside, outside — her limbs trembling slightly under the afterglow, her thighs sticky, her core still clenching faintly every ti she so much as shifted. And her heart... gods, her heart was pounding like it had signed its own contract with him.
Lux broke the silence first. His voice was calm. Smooth. Playfully dangerous.
"You," he said softly, eyes roaming her bare skin again, "are wilder than I thought."
She flushed. Still breathless. But a small smile tugged at her lips despite herself.
"I-I don’t usually—"
"I like it," he cut in, voice deepening. "Very much." His fingers traced idly along her stomach, circling lower. "And I want to make you mine."
Her breath caught. The room seed to tilt again at his words.
She blinked up at him. "What do you an... ’make yours’?"
Lux’s eyes glinted. His hand moved up now, fingers splaying between her breasts, palm resting just above her wildly beating heart.
"A real pact," he whispered. "With ."
Her tentacles twitched unconsciously at that word. Pact.
"You an like... like Naomi?" she asked, her voice a little shaky, rembering how Naomi carried his mark after that strange night in the restaurant.
Lux nodded, smirking a little. "Exactly. The sa."
He leaned closer now, his lips brushing her ear as he added, teasing:
"Though after that, you might find yourself... wanting again." His voice dipped lower, a dark purr. "Often."
Her skin prickled under the weight of his words. She swallowed again, her pulse hamring like a drum against his palm.
"A real pact..." she echoed softly, voice trailing into the silence.
"Yes," Lux replied smoothly. "You’ll need it, Rava."
"Why?" she asked, frowning. "Aren’t you the one supposed to protect now?"
He chuckled softly, brushing a stray strand of hair behind her ear.
"Oh, I will. But this isn’t just about protection."
His voice shifted, slipping back into that familiar devilish businessman tone. The one he used during those polished, terrifying negotiation rooms.
"I’m the CFO of Hell," he said with a dry smile. "Even on vacation."
Rava arched a brow, heart still pounding under his touch.
Lux exhaled softly. "I’ve... made too many contracts. Signed too many agreents. Added too many clauses." His smile thinned into sothing almost tired for a second. "And not every entity likes my restructuring plans."
She blinked at him, confused.
"In other words," he continued lightly, "there are enemies. Lots of them. And while they may not strike now, eventually soone will. This way, I’m not just protecting you." His voice lowered. "I’m giving you power."
Rava’s brows furrowed.
"Power?"
"Yup."
His red eyes sparkled as he said it like it was the easiest thing in the world.
"You’ll be stronger," he explained softly. "You’ll gain abilities tied to your nature. Strength drawn from my mark. From our bond. You’ll feel it in your blood, in your soul." His hand pressed slightly firr against her chest. "A direct link to ."
Her breath trembled at the thought.
Her mind spun with hesitation — this was insane, fast, reckless — but her body... her heart... her emotions had long stopped caring.
She wanted him.
She trusted him in a way she couldn’t even explain.
And deep down, so primal part of her — the kraken blood — wanted to belong to him fully.
"I..." she whispered. Then finally nodded, breathless. "I accept."
Lux’s smirk widened, sothing dark and deeply satisfied flashing through his gaze.
"Good girl."
He leaned in and kissed her softly first, tasting her acceptance on her lips before shifting lower.
His hand slid down her sternum, fingers drawing slow, deliberate shapes until he reached the very center of her chest.
Then — his palm pressed flat against her skin, and his aura shifted.
Heat flared between them instantly.
Infernal magic pulsed beneath his touch, spreading like glowing ink. His symbol — that elegant infernal sigil — blood across her chest like liquid gold etched into her skin, glowing for a brief mont before softly fading beneath the surface, embedding itself deep into her soul.
The room pulsed around them. Reality humd.
’Devil’s Blessing.’

Rava’s breath hitched sharply as the heat surged through her veins. It wasn’t painful — it was euphoric. Her whole body tingled, warm pulses flooding every limb like liquid fire and ocean currents colliding.
"Ahh—" she moaned softly, arching beneath him.
Her tentacles twitched—then suddenly lashed upward again.
They weren’t soft this ti. They grabbed Lux’s wrists, yanking them behind his back. Two more coiled around his thighs, locking him in place. She watched him with hazy, half-lidded eyes as her tentacles fully wrapped him, binding him, caging him beneath her.
