His voice softened slightly.

Lullaby stared at him for a mont.
Then she did sothing very Lullaby.
She stepped closer.

Close enough that Lux had to lean back slightly to keep from bumping into her.
She placed both hands on his chest.
Then gently rested her forehead against him.
Which looked slightly ridiculous.
Because she was shorter.
So it was more like a small sleepy demon leaning against a tall one.
Her voice was soft.
"You’re still Lux."
Lux blinked.
"That’s it?"
"Yes."
She rubbed her cheek lightly against his chest.
"You were still protecting everyone."
He frowned slightly.
"I was?"
"Yes."
Her finger traced the edge of a Lust sigil. "You didn’t hurt anyone. You stopped when soone was tired. You checked everyone. You gave stamina potions." Her eyes lifted to et his. "That’s not a monster."
Lux stared at her.
She continued calmly. "You let your instinct move. But your heart stayed the sa." Her hand tapped his chest lightly. "That’s the important part."
Lux exhaled slowly.
He hadn’t realized he’d been holding tension in his shoulders until that mont.
Lullaby yawned again.
Then leaned more of her weight against him.
"Besides," she murmured. "You looked happy."
Lux snorted faintly. "I looked insane."
"That too."
A pause.
Then she smiled faintly.
"But it suits you."
Lux exhaled through his nose.
"Thanks."
He ant it.
It still felt strange hearing reassurance about sothing he had spent two centuries suppressing, but Lullaby’s words had done what they usually did, settled the storm just enough for logic to return.
