Room G-7 Bathroom

The warm, sudsy water rippled gently as Emma and Gwen sat on opposite ends of the tub, their knees drawn up slightly as clouds of bubbles floated between them.

Both won avoided each other's gaze as their faces burned red—not from the heat of the bath, but from the thick, awkward air that surrounded them.

Gwen finally broke the silence.

"Uh… sorry if this is, you know… a little weird."

Her voice was both quiet and uncertain.

Emma shrugged slightly, trying to act nonchalant as she swirled the water with her fingers.

"Nah, it's fine. I an, this isn't the first ti I've been in an… unconventional situation."

Gwen raised a curious eyebrow. "Oh?"

"Yeah…"

Emma said, leaning back against the edge of the tub.

"When I was planning to go to t U, there weren't a lot of housing options left. Almost ended up staying with this weird group of sorority gals who had a thing for acting like sexy vampires. They were all about the whole leather and lace aesthetic, you know? Walking around biting each other and calling it 'sisterly bonding.' Psssh."

Gwen's lips twitched, and before she could stop herself, a small giggle escaped.

"You're kidding."

Emma gave her a flat look.

"Do I look like I'm kidding? I had to sit through a recruitnt ritual. One of them even hissed at ."

Gwen covered her mouth, trying to stifle her laughter.

"That's… wow."

"Yeah. Let's just say I've experienced my fair share of weird lesbian air…"

Emma waved a hand.

"Not that I have a problem with them or anything—it's just weird how it always feels like so poor guy ends up caught in the crossfire, you know? It's a whole… thing."

Gwen leaned her cheek against her fist.

There was now a small smile on her cherry lips.

"Oh yeah, I get that. And hey, speaking of weird lesbian air, rember the ti those online rumors spread about you being a lesbian? Because, you know, no one ever saw you with a guy?"

Emma groaned loudly, throwing her head back.

"Ugh, don't remind . That was such a ss. So many weird feminist chicks were so happy about it. I got flooded with fan mail. Stuff like, 'You don't need a man to be successful!' and 'You're such an inspiration!' I an, what the hell was that about?"

Gwen snorted, shaking her head.

"Yeah, and yet here you are… fighting over Scott McQueen of all people."

Emma froze for a mont, then gave a slow, resigned nod.

"… Yeah. I guess I am."

Gwen tilted her head, watching Emma's expression carefully.

Almost like she was studying her.

"You must really love him, huh?"

Emma's cheeks flushed slightly, and she hesitated before speaking.

"I do. I an… I really do. And I never thought I'd be that girl, you know? The one who falls so hard for a guy she loses her damn mind. But here I am, and… I'm glad for it. Even if it's driving crazy."

Gwen rubbed her soapy shoulders as her pretty eyes drifted to the side.

"Well… being crazy over Scott McQueen is kinda normal for, like, every woman in Arica at this point."

Emma let out a soft laugh, leaning forward and resting her chin on her knees.

"True. He's… sothing else, huh?"

There was a mont of silence before Emma suddenly perked up.

"Oh, crap. Speaking of Scott, I was supposed to call my friend and give them an update on this whole… harem status or whatever it's called."

Gwen blinked, visibly confused.

"Wait, what? What do you an?"

Emma sank deeper into the water as a very sheepish grin pulled at her lips.

"So… I've got this friend. I won't na nas, but she has a thing for Scott. And, well… she asked to share him. At first, I thought she was joking, but she was dead serious. I felt bad for them, so I kinda… agreed."

Gwen stared, her mouth slightly agape. "You what?"

"I know, I know!"

Emma threw her hands up in surrender.

"It's crazy. But… lately, I've been thinking… maybe they're right. Maybe Scott's too much for to keep to myself. I an, have you t the guy?"

Her voice trailed off as she hugged her legs tightly and her expression turned somber.

"I want to be selfish. I really do. But if I am… I'll just end up getting left behind. I've never really had anything to call my own, you know? And now that I finally have sothing—soone—that feels like mine, it's like the universe is just waiting to rip it away. So… maybe it's better if I just… accept it."

Gwen watched her in silence.

A knot of guilt tightened in her chest.

She hadn't once thought about it from Emma's perspective before—hadn't realized how much this was affecting her. It wasn't just about Scott; it was about Emma's need to hold onto sothing real.

Sothing that mattered.

"I…"

Gwen began, then hesitated.

She sighed heavily as her eyes dropped to the water.

"I didn't realize it was like that for you. And now I feel like… like maybe I've been a little selfish too."

Emma glanced up, surprised. "Selfish? You?"

Gwen nodded as her voice could barely cross a whisper.

"I don't want to co between you and Scott. I really don't. I just… I just want a place with you guys. A space where I can belong. I'm not asking to be as special to him as you are—I know that's not realistic. I just… I just want to be wanted."

The bathroom fell silent again.

The only sound was the faint ripple of water as both won stared at nothing in particular.

Neither could bring themselves to et the other's eyes.

And yet, for the first ti in three days, they truly weren't arguing.

They weren't fighting.

They were just… existing. Together.

It wasn't much, but it was a start.

・・・

Scott's Room

Scott reclined on his sofa.

The scene on the screen was a sexy live feed of Emma and Gwen sharing an awkward, heartfelt mont in the tub which made him pause mid-chew.

However, it wasn't because of the raw images of both Gwen and Emma's pink nipples showing, or how their ass cheeks were covered in soapy water, making their butts look like they were covered in oil.

Far from it.

He stared at Emma's forlorn expression as her words about wanting to hold onto sothing real cut deeper than he expected.

His hand froze halfway to his mouth.

There was a sticky cheese puff precariously balanced between his fingers.

"Damn it…"

Scott muttered under his breath, lowering the snack bag.

His face twisted into a frown as he placed his clean hand on his chin, only to jerk it back when he realized it was still sared with bright orange powder.

"Ugh, stupid cheese dust. Why does this stuff stick to everything?"

He wiped his fingers on his pants, only to sigh in frustration when he saw the faint sar left behind. Leaning back, he cradled the bag of cheese puffs with one hand while gesturing vaguely at the screen with the other.

"This—this right here is why I've always said monogamy is better. I an, yeah, as a guy, having a harem sounds like the ultimate dream, right? But this?"

He waved a hand at the screen, where Emma and Gwen were now sitting silently, lost in their own thoughts.

"This is the reality. Feelings get ssy. People get hurt. And no woman in her right mind would actually go for this…"

His face soured a bit.

"Which would explain why all these won are crazy."

The System soon replied.

[Affirmative!]

All this did was make Scott frown more.

"Or unless…"

He trailed off, then furrowed his brow as he considered his next words.

"Unless you're, like, ridiculously handso. Like, the uh, face-of-a-god handso."

He gave a wry chuckle, then shrugged.

"Or maybe just obscenely rich. But ? Nah, I'm not that handso… or rich."

Scott glanced at his reflection in a nearby mirror and smirked quite smugly.

"Okay, maybe I'm a little handso. Like, enough to turn heads. But not enough to pull this off without soone throwing hands eventually."

He popped another cheese puff into his mouth and crunched thoughtfully.

"And the System saying I'll get lucky with a threeso tonight? Yeah, not buying it. Even supercomputers make mistakes. It's not like—"

He stopped mid-sentence when he realized he was still talking to himself.

"Crap, I'm doing it again."

He slapped his forehead in frustration, only to recoil when his hand sared orange dust across his face.

"Damn it! Stupid cheese powder!"

He jumped up, grabbing a napkin to wipe his face clean, all the while grumbling under his breath about the downsides of junk food.

Lakeview Hotel, New York City

Maya drifted aimlessly in her room as her small, bare feet hovered inches above the floor. Her phone sat in her hand as Emma's caller ID lit up the screen for the hundredth ti in the last three days.

She sighed heavily as her small thumb hovered over the [call] button.

"Why isn't she picking up?" she whispered to herself.

Her eyes fell to the list of unanswered calls and the sight of the growing tally made her chest tighten.

"It's been three days…"

She muttered in desperation.

"I've called her 138 tis. Her phone's ringing, so it's not off. But…"

She hesitated as her fingers trembled.

"What if she's just ignoring ?"

The thought made her stomach twist painfully.

Slowly, she lowered herself to the floor, her body sinking until she was sitting with her legs crossed, her phone resting limply in her hand.

"Maybe she's sick…"

She murmured, trying to convince herself.

"Yeah, that's it. YES! Emma's not the type to just… ignore . Right?"

But the more she thought about it, the more doubt crept in.

Her shoulders slumped as she tossed her phone onto the bed.

"Or maybe…"

Her voice cracked, and she swallowed hard as she fought back bitter tears.

"Maybe she's finally tired of putting up with . Maybe she's done entertaining my… my bullshit."

She buried her face in her hands, her breath hitching as she tried to hold back the sobs threatening to break free.

"God, I'm such an idiot…"

Her voice ca out muffled.

"She didn't have to be so kind. She didn't have to… consider sharing soone like Scott with ."

Her body shook as a choked sob escaped her lips, followed by another. She curled up on the floor as her head rested on her knees as the weight of her emotions overwheld her.

"I had my chance with him…"

She choked even more.

"… and I blew it *sob* I did…"

Room G-7, Overwatch Headquarters

Emma stood by the bathroom sink and wrapped a towel tightly around herself.

… Hm?

She glanced at Gwen, who was still drying off.

"Hey, uh… Gwen?" Emma said cautiously.

Gwen turned, her expression calm. "Yeah? What's up?"

Emma fidgeted with the edge of her towel, then brushed wet bangs away from her face.

"I… I wanted to ask you sothing."

Gwen tilted her head, curious. "Sure. Anything."

Taking a deep breath, Emma t her eyes.

"Do you think Scott… still loves you?"

Gwen's calm deanor faltered, then her brow crumpled as she processed the question.

"What?"

"I an…"

Emma stumbled over her words, quickly adding.

"I'm really not trying to be offensive or anything. I just… I honestly want to know what you think. About Scott. About how he feels."

Gwen stared at her for a mont, then let out a quiet sigh.

She leaned against the counter.

She folded her arms loosely as she regarded Emma.

Her expression softened, but there was a hint of lancholy in her eyes.

"Do I think Scott loves ?"

She repeated the question as if tasting the words before continuing.

"Yeah… I think he does. In his own way."

Emma's face dulled slightly.

She averted her gaze, letting out a soft, unenthusiastic…

"Oh."

Gwen noticed the change in her expression.

"But that doesn't an anything."

She pushed off the counter, standing straighter as she t Emma's eyes directly.

"No matter how he feels about , it'll never go anywhere. Not as long as the woman who has his heart is still around."

Emma blinked, her brows furrowing.

"The woman who has his heart?"

Gwen nodded. "You."

The word hit Emma like a lightning bolt.

Her eyes widened as her brain scrambled to process it.

"Wh-, What?" she stamred.

Gwen smiled faintly.

But there was a trace of sadness in it.

"Scott loves you, Emma. All of you. You've got his whole heart. Maybe you haven't realized it yet, but it's the truth. Believe , I've tried. I've tried to get him to look at the way he looks at you, but…"

She shrugged, forcing a small laugh.

"It's not gonna happen. He's loyal to you. Completely."

Emma's cheeks flushed a deep red.

She stared at Gwen with wide eyes and her lips parted slightly as an uncontrollable smile spread across her face.

"I…"

She cleared her throat abruptly, realizing how obvious she was being.

She looked away, fidgeting with the edge of her towel.

"I-, I see…"

The silence stretched between them.

It was quite awkward.

Gwen raised an amused eyebrow.

"You okay there? Your face is as red as a tomato."

Emma shot her a glare, though it lacked any real heat.

"I'm fine. Totally fine."

Gwen chuckled, shaking her head. "Sure, you are."

After a mont, Emma forced herself to focus.

She turned back to Gwen and her smile faded slightly as she grew serious in tone.

"So… d'you think I could be the right woman for him?"

Gwen blinked in surprise at the question. "You?"

Emma nodded, crossing her arms.

"Yeah. You said sothing before… about how the love of one woman might not be enough for him."

Gwen sighed deeply, rubbing the back of her neck.

"Look, I don't want to sound like a pessimist or anything, but no. I don't think you could ever truly be the right woman for Scott."

Emma tilted her head. "Why not?"

Gwen hesitated, then leaned back against the counter again.

"It's not that you're not enough, Emma. You are. But… Scott hasn't had the best relationship with his mom. And if the woman who was supposed to love him unconditionally couldn't do it right… well, I don't think the love of one person will ever completely fill that void, even if he doesn't admit it."

Emma's expression softened. "I… I didn't know that."

Gwen offered a small, sad smile.

"Yeah, well, it's not exactly sothing he likes to talk about. And honestly, it's probably better if you don't push him on it. I've learned to just… let him have his space."

Emma nodded slowly.

"I've asked him about his family a few tis, but… it always ruins the mood. So, I stopped. I figured it was better to respect his privacy."

Gwen chuckled softly.

"Good call. That's what I've been doing too. Maybe that's why we've never worked as anything more than friends. I can't help but think I'll never be enough for him. But… weirdly enough, the idea of being part of sothing bigger? Like being an 'extra girlfriend'? It makes feel like I could be enough. You know?"

Emma studied her for a mont.

"It… feels right?"

Gwen nodded with a small smile. "Yeah. It does."

Emma sighed, stepping toward the door.

She hesitated as her hand hovered over the handle before turning back to Gwen.

"For what it's worth… I used to be against the idea of you being Scott's second girlfriend. Honestly, I still am."

Gwen frowned slightly. "Gee, thanks."

Emma smiled softly.

"That's not what I an. I just… I don't want Scott to see you as a second girlfriend. I want him to see you as his girlfriend. Both of us."

Gwen's eyes widened and her lips parted in shock.

"R-, Really?"

Emma nodded with a warm expression.

"Yeah. I'm fine with it. So… let's get out of here and see if we can break out of this stupid place together."

Gwen wiped at her eyes, her smile trembling as she held back tears.

"Okay. Alright."

The two won stepped out of the hidden bathroom.

But the mont they entered the main room, they froze.

Scott stood in the center, grinning sheepishly as he pushed a cart overflowing with food.

"Uh… surprise?"

Emma and Gwen stared at him for a minute before their faces lit up.

"SCOTT ❤️❤️!"

They scread in unison, rushing forward to tackle him.

They threw their arms around him and knocked him onto the couch as their combined weight pinned him down.

Scott groaned.

… Urghh~

His face smushed against their massive breasts.

"You're heavy…"

"Liar!" Gwen protested.

"Uh-huh…"

Emma chid in, pressing her bare breasts against his face more as a dirty look appeared on her face.

"We haven't eaten in three days, slave master!"

"Eh?"
