Kyle felt refreshed putting that man in his place even though he didn't owe Nakamura any loyalty. He knew that this man might very well be a test to see what kind of person he was.
If Kyle threw Nakamura under the bus then there was no way that the others in this room could trust him.
The man was more surprised that Kyle had that much money than he was being humbled.
The fact that he had a black card ant that his finances were on another level.
Kyle noticed that Nakamura was watching him across the room, almost like he was asuring him.
"This is a test," Kyle thought to himself, the sa way Nakamura was the one bringing him into this world, there was a chance that he did the sa with others.
There was no way he clawed his way to the top without help from others or having companions he could trust within this building.
Kyle smiled inwardly, this was the kind of man Nakamura was and Kyle was willing to play his ga.
"That was good," A lady said beside Kyle, he was startled montarily because he didn't even notice her. If she was an assassin after his life, she would have taken his life before he could even register it.
Kyle looked down at the much smaller lady but there was no way he could identify her but there was no doubt that she was watching him.
Kyle smiled beneath his mask, he saw the dress she had on, it wasn't like the rest of the won.
Kyle could tell that whoever this was, she must be young, clearly below 30 but despite her slender fra, the cleavage popping out of her dress told him that this was a woman who was blessed by nature.
"Hahaha! Have you heard that? I'm embarrassed," Kyle tried to play it off.
"You don't need to pretend…" The lady said sternly.
"What do you an?" Kyle questioned.
"They all see through the bullshit. There is no need to pretend. If you play your cards right, you could leave here with contacts you couldn't get in your lifeti," The lady pointed out.
Kyle was surprised that she was talking to him like she knew his intentions.
"I hate to say it but you're insignificant here. The only significance you have is your relationship with Nakamura," She reminded him.
"Now, you need to show them why you're in his company," The lady inford him.
"... But with your looks, the won should be swarming you soon enough," She ended with a giggle.
But before Kyle could ask her who she was, she disappeared into the crowd like she was a voice in his head.
However, he morised the outline of her mask. It had whiskers and had the characteristics of a fox.
Whatever this lady said, she was right because a lady approached him but Kyle could easily tell with a single glance that she was well in her advanced years.
No one could escape aging and her wrinkled skin gave her away.
"Well, hello there young man," The lady greeted with a glass of wine in hand.
Kyle knew he had to not only be friendly but use his privilege to his advantage.
People only reach the top because they know how to use those around them to their fullest potential.
"Hello, I love the dress I must say," Kyle's voice was gentle but this told him that most of the won here saw him as a piece of at.
"Thank you but the secret is behind it," The lady was already coming on strong.
"She sees as a potential sugar baby?" Kyle thought to himself, it wasn't a disgusting thought but it told him how he was viewed by most people here.
He was young and the older people saw him as a child, at least those who saw his face.
There was no way that this information would remain between them.
It spread among those that arrived much later but Kyle was glad that sothing like this was happening.
Kyle quickly glanced at her hand and there was no ring, just as he expected.
A cougar looking for a young chap to bend her over and screw her into the afterlife but Kyle was no grim reaper.
"I can certainly tell," Kyle said softly but he knew he had to maintain an image because won talk.
There was nothing wrong with being nice however he had to set a boundary with them.
"I would have liked to personally see this but I'm taken," Kyle politely turned her down.
But she knew that this ant nothing or that cheating wouldn't be the norm in this generation.
"I'm sure she wouldn't mind you having friends, would she?" The older woman wasn't relenting, she had on the mask of a tiger and Kyle found it ironic.
"Trust , I cannot be just friends with a woman as elegant as you," Kyle turned her down with a complint.
The older woman giggled, it has been a while since she t soone as good with words as Kyle because most n would have said yes.
n were hungry dogs that would bang anything that looked fit and that was what this woman embodied.
"You jest!" The lady blurted but Kyle didn't let her off the hook because he knew the rejection wasn't complete. Kyle noticed the dress she had was sothing you would see in Bridgerton showing the class that her aura exuded.
"I wish I was but you can understand why we can't move past this, can't you?" Kyle turned her down.
She might be a cougar but respected Kyle's decision because it turned her down without bruising her ego. If he had bruised her ego, this would have gone wayward so fast.
"I'm Eleanor II," The lady introduced herself, it sounded fancy like she ca from old money.
"I'm Kyle the first," Kyle responded, taking her hand and planting a soft kiss on the back of it.
"But you can call Kyle,"
