"I see…"

Wade was not surprised by Will's resentnt and ingratitude but felt it was unfair to Remus.

He paused for a mont, intending to say sothing, but then rembered that the person before him was only speaking the truth under the influence of a potion.

Whether scolded or mocked, Will would have no reaction, let alone feel remorse.

With that thought, Wade found it rather aningless. He leaned back against the chair and said calmly:

"Tell about the 'him' you ntioned—the one who gave you a dream and made you willingly follow him. Who is he? What's his na?"

"We… we call him Leader… sotis Alpha."

Will's face showed reverence as he murmured, "He's like a father to us, guiding us forward. He showed us that our existence, too, has aning…"

The man rambled on at length, showering praise and admiration on this "Alpha," but there was no substantive information.

This poor fellow seed to have nothing in his head but grand, empty words with no real strategy or actionable content.

Wade frowned and interrupted him. "You've seen him, haven't you? What does he look like?"

"He… he looks about forty or fifty, very handso, very charismatic… brown hair, and on his arm, there's… there's a tattoo… of a butterfly…"

Will's speech beca increasingly labored. Suddenly, his body jerked upright as though pulled by an invisible force. He fell to the ground with the chair, writhing in pain, emitting short, guttural screams of "Ah! Ah!"

Wade "saw" black mist seeping out from Will's teeth, eyes, and nails. It wrapped around his body like spider silk, tightening evermore.

He recognized this as a deadly curse.

In normal sight, Will appeared to have been struck by a sudden illness—his complexion turned a ghastly mix of green and white, and his entire body trembled violently.

The curse seed to weaken the Veritaserum's effects. Will's eyes suddenly cleared a little, and he gazed at Wade with desperation and said while struggling, "Help… help…"

Wade crouched slightly, looked at the bloodshot-eyed man, and said:

"This is a curse placed on you by that Alpha. If you reveal any secrets, the curse's power will kill you…"

Gazing into the man's bulging eyes, Wade added softly:

"I can save you. But if I lift this curse, you must beco my spy."

Hearing this, the dying Will's eyes widened in sudden defiance. He glared at Wade with hatred, clenched his teeth tightly and refused to beg for help any longer.

As his spasms continued, the chair banged against the ground with diminishing force until, at last, all fell silent.

Wade closed his eyes briefly and stood up.

"ow~"

A soft, kitten-like w ca from behind him.

One by one, small, furry heads peeked in through the doorway. A group of kittens sat there as they watched their master.

These were Wade's magic dolls, indistinguishable from real cats in appearance.

Wade walked over, scooped one up, and rubbed its ears while holding it in his arms.

One kitten padded over to the figure lying on the ground, nudged it with its soft paw, then turned to look at Wade, letting out a gentle ow.

"He's dead, ow~"

"Hmm, take him to the spiders as a snack," Wade said, his mood was sour.

The kittens grabbed onto the clothes or chains with their little teeth and, with a series of clinking sounds, dragged the man and the chair out of the room.

Wade sat quietly for a mont and organized the recent troubles in his mind. The fluttering of a butterfly's wings, he thought, can truly stir up a massive storm.

Why are so many forces not ntioned in the original story surfacing now? Why is the situation becoming increasingly complex?

In Harry Potter's seven years, and even the nineteen years that followed, the only major enemies seed to be Voldemort and his Death Eaters.

But now, more and more factions hidden beneath the surface are being unearthed.

Wade closed his eyes and pondered for a long ti, eventually arriving at a possible reason.

—The Book of Friends.

A portable and inexpensive communication tool has brought about massive societal changes. While wizards already had nurous ans of communication—such as fireplace ssaging, two-way mirrors, and owls—all of these thods ca with their own inconveniences.

Dumbledore's Patronus ssaging, anwhile, was a privilege reserved for only a few.

The Book of Friends broke down the isolation and barriers caused by the solitary lifestyles of wizards. Portable and efficient, its near-instantaneous communication allowed information to spread more rapidly and covertly.

At the sa ti, due to Wade's influence, changes always seed to originate in the British wizarding world, creating a sort of magical concentration effect. Conflicts and disputes seed to gravitate toward this land, ultimately driven by competing interests.

In the past, except for certain major events, the ministry of magic of different countries rarely communicated.

There were also invisible walls between wizarding schools, which neither exchanged knowledge nor competed with each other. The Triwizard Tournant, once a bridge between schools, had been discontinued for centuries.

Everyone remained in their own little patch of land, growing freely and unchecked.

But now, things are different.

Wade recalled the scene at the magic workshop when he went to find Will, where he saw custors from various countries.

What had brought them there?

—purchase of Steaming Mirrors.

This product had just been introduced to the market, yet news of it had already reached Brazil, 9,000 kiloters away, prompting an imdiate response.

Wizards who were once self-sufficient and largely disconnected were no longer isolated. The distances between them were shrinking rapidly, and the separations caused by nations and regions were breaking down.

The tide of the tis was silently gathering strength.

At present, Wade had only glimpsed a small corner of it.

The chaos he foresaw weighed on him faintly, but he consciously worked to adjust his mindset, gradually setting aside that pressure.

Problems will always arise… and they will always need solutions.

For now, the most important thing is ensuring the safety of my family.

Outside, the crunching sounds in the spider cage had ceased. A group of Acromantulae were fiercely competing over the remains of their kind.

Several kittens sat nearby and observed the scene with interest. Mops and brooms swung quickly and restored the floor to its original cleanliness.

The space inside Wade's wardrobe was becoming increasingly lively.

Originally, he had hoped to create a small, fantastical world like the one Mr. Scamander had, but the current developnt was far from that vision.

The space contained only a dozen or so magical creatures, most of which were Wade's alchemical creations.

Wade glanced at the spider cage, now sowhat emptier than before, and then quickly left the wardrobe space.
