Thanks to his thorough preparations, Hagrid's second lesson was a huge success.

Since the students had already beco familiar with Bowtruckles through the maze ga, the harmless creatures he introduced this ti were Puffskeins.

These little yellow furballs, despite their diet of dried bogies, were so adorable that the students—especially the girls—completely overlooked that detail.

Padma was particularly delighted, hugging a Puffskein tightly as if she couldn't bear to let go.

anwhile, plenty of students were eager to interact with the Hippogriffs as well.

Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw students were naturally more inclined to follow rules, and with the painful lesson of Harry and Malfoy's injuries fresh in everyone's minds, no one was foolish enough to provoke the creatures, which were even taller than most humans.

Following Hagrid's instructions, the students bowed, made eye contact, and offered food to the Hippogriffs. Once they earned the creatures' initial trust, they were allowed to gently touch their beaks and backs—under Hagrid's watchful eye.

The class was unbelievably well-organized, with a high level of student cooperation. While so instinctively backed away in fear, most managed to gain the creatures' acceptance.

As the lesson progressed and everything remained under control, Hagrid finally relaxed his restrictions, allowing students to ride the Hippogriffs for a short flight.

Wade was among those who took to the skies. However, soaring over the Black Lake wasn't as exhilarating as it looked in the movies—the feathers were too smooth, making it feel like he could slip off at any mont.

It didn't compare to the freedom of flying on his own.

But for the other students, this was an extraordinary experience. Riding a massive beast felt far more thrilling—almost primal, like conquering or hunting—compared to simply flying on a thin broomstick.

Even Ryan, who is usually calm and reserved, was flushed with excitent when he jumped down from the creature's back (or rather, its neck).

"I want to be friends with Professor Hagrid!"

Later, in private, Michael excitedly told Wade, "I had no idea he had Hippogriffs! rlin, this is amazing! Wade, do you know what Professor Hagrid likes?"

"Uh…" Wade thought for a mont and said, "Dangerous and fascinating magical creatures?"

"Like…?"

"Like dragons. Of course, if you manage to bring him a Manticore, he'd probably consider you his long-lost brother."

Michael paused for a second—then burst out laughing.

As they passed through the empty entrance hall, Wade slowed his steps slightly. Once Michael walked ahead, he turned the Ti-Turner around his neck.

He still had an Ancient Runes class this morning.

The Ancient Runes classroom was located at the side of the Clock Tower Courtyard, in the building closest to the Forbidden Forest. At the end of a long stone bridge stood the entrance to the classroom.

On his way there, Wade happened to run into Hermione, who was also hurrying toward class.

The brown-haired girl had clearly just finished a Herbology lesson—she still carried the scent of herbs on her robes. Upon seeing Wade, she imdiately looked as if she had been saved.

"Thank rlin! I thought I was lost! I haven't seen a single person on my way here!"

Hermione spoke hurriedly. "And those staircases kept shifting, Griffiths wouldn't stop chasing to chat, and I nearly ran into Peeves! It was awful!"

"If you had left earlier, you could have taken your ti finding the classroom. None of that would have been a problem for you," Wade remarked.

"I couldn't have left earlier!" Hermione retorted. "I just finished Herbology! I only turned back one hour, so ti is extrely tight!"

She was clearly flustered and spoke even faster than usual.

Wade frowned. "Then why did you only turn back one hour? You could have rewound two hours—or even more. As long as you don't exceed five hours, it's perfectly safe."

Hermione stared at him, looking even more confused. "But if I turn back two hours, what would I do with the extra hour before class? Just stand around and wait?"

Wade sighed. "You could go back to the dormitory and get so sleep. Hermione, you should really check your own dark circles—they're getting worse."

Hermione's mouth dropped open in shock, as if it had never even occurred to her that this was an option.

"No wonder you always handle everything so effortlessly… But we promised when we got the Ti-Turner that we'd only use it for academic purposes!"

"Resting properly is for the sake of studying. If you push yourself to exhaustion, how is that going to help?" Wade countered.

Hermione fell silent.

As they reached their destination, they saw about a dozen other students—those who had also chosen Ancient Runes—gathered in small groups outside the classroom, struggling to figure out how to open the door.

Among them was Draco Malfoy, who had also taken Ancient Runes. The mont he saw Wade approaching, his expression changed slightly, and he instinctively took a few steps away.

The other students, however, looked delighted and imdiately called out:

"Wade's here!"

"Wade will definitely know how to open it!"

They parted to make way for him, and Wade stepped forward to see what the problem was.

The entrance to the Ancient Runes classroom was sealed by a massive stone slab, with a long, narrow doorway in the center. Embedded inside the doorway were several bamboo-like rotating copper cylinders, each engraved with rings of ancient runes.

A small note was attached beside them, simply reading: [Open it]

It was clear that this was how the classroom was locked—an Ancient Runes puzzle.

Before Wade arrived, the students had already been struggling with it for quite so ti.

They were buried in their Rune Dictionary and Spellman's Syllabary, cross-referencing symbols until their heads were spinning—so were beginning to feel like they didn't even recognize English anymore.

Many Ancient Runes looked extrely similar, and each character often had multiple anings, making the decoding process painfully slow.

But for Wade, this was no problem at all.

After observing for a mont, he rotated the copper cylinders and aligned the runic characters into a sentence—

[Runes hold ancient magic, revealing secrets to those who understand.]

This was actually a phrase printed on the front page of their textbook.

The students cheered and rushed into the Ancient Runes classroom.

The spacious room had massive windows on both sides, allowing in an abundance of natural light. Long blue curtains cascaded down to the floor.

The walls were covered in ancient runic inscriptions, while the lectern held an assortnt of ancient artifacts—jewelry, weapons, and even the bones of so unknown creature, all engraved with runes.

However, the professor was nowhere to be seen.

The students didn't just sit and wait—instead, they wandered around the room, examining the displayed items. Wade also took a look around before settling into a quiet corner.

Before long, Hermione sat down beside him and whispered,

"—Maybe you're right. I should give myself a little more ti to rest… But still, you shouldn't use the Ti-Turner too frequently."

Wade raised an eyebrow. "Hermione, are you worried about the dangers of reversing ti?"

She shook her head and lowered her voice. "It's not just that… When we turn ti back, only our personal ti continues moving forward normally…"

"So if we use it too often, while others experience one year, we'll be living through two years, three years… maybe even more…"

To outsiders, ti would seem the sa, but for them, their lifespan was essentially being spent at an accelerated rate. The thought of it was unsettling.

But Wade simply replied, "I know. But if it ans I can reach adulthood sooner, I wouldn't mind."

Hermione was startled by his response.

Just then, the professor for Ancient Runes entered the room.

She appeared silently by the open doorway, and her gaze coldly swept across the dozen students in attendance.
