Malfoy and his group ran away in a panic. When they finally returned to the empty Potions classroom, everyone was feeling a bit down.

"Draco, we had everything set up—what happened?" Two girls cautiously entered the room holding a few glass bottles. They looked puzzled upon seeing the group's appearance.

"It's over, Pansy," Nott frowned, slumped his shoulders, and weakly said. "Grey definitely won't be coming... Professor Sprout saw through it all, and she kept Wade Grey behind."

"You all were too impatient, and now look! Everything's ruined!"

In frustration, Malfoy kicked over a chair, then sat down angrily by the table. Crabbe and Goyle glared at the others with bulging eyes, as if it were everyone else's fault.

"Wait for next ti," Zabini shook his head, sat down and sighed. "As long as we're determined, we'll find another chance to corner him."

Though Zabini said this, the group's morale had already dropped, except for Malfoy. After an initial burst of energy, they were now feeling defeated.

The blonde girl who had entered with Pansy hesitantly asked, "What about these potions? Should we throw them away?"

The bottles contained a failed batch of Cure for Boils Potion. Malfoy was quite skilled at potions, but during their first Potions class, Neville's failed potion had caused quite a bit of chaos, leaving a deep impression on Malfoy.

In his mind, that failed potion was far more useful than any proper Cure for Boils Potion.

This ti, to deal with Wade Grey, Malfoy had secretly brewed a batch of Cure for Boils Potion, adding porcupine quills while it was still over the fire, resulting in a large bottle of green poison potent enough to lt a cauldron.

Unfortunately, the potion evaporated constantly, and before long, it would transform from a highly corrosive acidic solution into an ordinary liquid that, aside from a foul sll, wouldn't harm anyone.

Malfoy waved his hand dismissively. "Throw it away... Wait, give it to , Daphne."

Suddenly, he thought of a nasty idea. Taking the glass bottles from Daphne, he carefully stashed them in the table cabinet in the corner—Malfoy had found out that Wade often sat there.

"I've got more, Draco!" Pansy eagerly pushed Daphne aside and handed over her potions as well.

Daphne hesitated. "What if soone else gets hurt?"

"Who cares!" Malfoy replied dismissively.

"It'll be their bad luck! Maybe the professor will even give Grey a detention! 'Wade Grey, why did you leave such dangerous substances in the cabinet? Deliberately endangering fellow students—Ravenclaw loses fifty points!'"

Malfoy imitated Professor Snape scolding Harry Potter, instantly causing everyone to burst into laughter. Nott made a funny face and, in a whining voice, shrieked, "It wasn't , Professor—I don't know what happened—"

"Hahaha!" The others were laughing so hard they were pounding the tables, nearly out of breath.

"He's coming! He's coming!" A boy rushed in excitedly, shouting, "Draco, he's heading this way!"

"Who?" Malfoy was montarily confused.

"Who else?" The boy, Millicent Bulstrode, was hopping up and down in frustration. "Wade Grey!"

"How could that be…" Zabini said, puzzled.

"He must think that, because the professors warned us, we wouldn't dare make a move!" Malfoy jumped off his chair, grabbed more potion bottles from the cabinet, and handed them out to the others, urging:

"Quick, quick, do it just like we planned!"

Everyone sprang into action. The two girls backed away a bit, but Pansy couldn't resist getting close to Malfoy again, as if ready to fight alongside him.

Several boys drew their wands to lock the classroom windows, then prepared to cast spells.

Crabbe and Goyle, holding the Cure for Boils Potion like hand grenades, were ready to throw them at any mont, while Nott pulled out two large dungbombs hidden under the herb cabinet.

Daphne peeked out from near the window, carefully observing from a corner to avoid being seen.

"It's definitely Wade Grey," the blonde girl whispered. "He's coming alone."

"No one else?" Zabini asked, frowning.

"No."

"That's strange…" Zabini couldn't understand—Is he really that unsuspecting?

"Hmph, typical Ravenclaw bookworm!" Malfoy sneered, giving final instructions.

"Rember the plan—throw the dungbombs first, then the Potions, and I'll hit him with the Leg-Locker Curse. Crabbe, Goyle, you two grab him, and Nott, make sure to get his wand!"

Crabbe and Goyle both gave a grunt of acknowledgent, while Nott glanced at the dungbomb in his hand, and his face suddenly turned a little pale.

—Wouldn't this stuff get all over when I grab the wand?

Looking at the cramped space near the door, Nott wasn't so sure anymore.

He began thinking about putting the dungbomb back... or maybe trading with Goyle? With his twice-as-large fra, Goyle could probably block most of it...

Just as Nott was hesitating, he suddenly heard soone quietly say, "Expulso!"

"What?"

An invisible gust of wind suddenly stirred up sand and dust, swirling through the classroom. As Nott opened his mouth to speak, he got a mouthful of sand instead. Everyone cried out in unison, rubbing their eyes in pain.

"He's at the door!" Malfoy yelled, covering his mouth with his sleeve, struggling to speak loudly. "Throw the dungbombs! Quick, throw the dungbombs!"

A sound ca from the doorway. Without thinking, Nott hurled the dungbomb with all his might.

"Bang!"

The dungbomb hit an ugly head and exploded, spreading foul-slling material all over the classroom.

A giant cockroach crawled in through the door.

As Nott stared at the horrifying face, he belatedly realized—the spell he'd heard earlier must have been "Engorgio!" (Engorgent Charm)

The boy, now paralyzed with fear, was easily pinned down by the enormous cockroach.

Then, one after another, two, three… five or six gigantic spiders, each the size of a hunting dog, crawled in after the cockroach.

"AAAAHHHH—"

The students in the Potions classroom scread in terror, scrambling to escape in a blind panic. Malfoy quickly jumped onto a table and tried to open a window, only to find it locked by a spell.

—Their own doing, of course.

"Alohom—" He didn't even finish the unlocking spell before a claw hooked onto his clothes from behind, dragging him backward.

"No—no—let go—"

"Mummy—"

"Help—"

The classroom was filled with the terrified cries of the students. The enchanted, confused insects didn't actually harm anyone, but just being so close to them was enough to scare everyone nearly to the point of wetting themselves.
