Just as Wade had predicted, the Slytherins didn't go to the professors to complain.

Seven or eight Slytherins had ambushed a single Ravenclaw of the sa age, only to lose and end up crying in fear. Even soone like Malfoy, who constantly bragged about his "father," didn't want anyone to know about such an embarrassing incident.

Still, since the whole group had suffered together, Snape didn't bother to dig deeper—he had always thought that with Draco Malfoy's arrogant and sharp-tongued deanor, it was only a matter of ti before he got into trouble.

The next day at lunch, Michael and Wade were heading to the Great Hall for a al.

A Boggart is a magical creature that can shapeshift into a person's worst fear.

Wade shook his head. "Not quite... though if I had the chance, I'd definitely like to encounter one."

Just then, a group of Slytherin girls led by Pansy passed by. When they saw Wade, they awkwardly nodded at him.

After several encounters like this, Wade noticed a subtle change in how the Slytherins—at least so of the first-year Slytherins—treated him. It wasn't with resentnt, contempt, or a desire for revenge, but rather a mixture of fear with a hint of respect and admiration.

It seems that Slytherins have a certain tendency to admire strength...

This thought briefly crossed Wade's mind.

Without the Slytherins targeting him, most of Wade's school life beca focused on studying.

He didn't even go to watch the Quidditch match between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, though he heard that Harry caught the Golden Snitch in just five minutes, and Snape, who was refereeing, apparently looked very upset.
