Amaryllis frowned as she read over the letter from her parents. Harriet and she had made the decision to write them asking for books on combat magic and defensive spells. Their response hadn't been 'no' instead it was a hard 'if you even think about putting yourselves in harm's way you will be grounded for the rest of your natural lives'. It wasn't fair, and not in the 'Harry is getting sothing, and we are jealous' way but instead it felt like their parents didn't care as much about him.

Harry was being tutored by Riddle, was allowed to receive books and instructions specifically catering to defense, and just seed more allowed to put himself in harm's way.

They wanted, needed to help him. Needed to be able to stand on their own rather than relying on their brother to throw himself in front of every threat and monster hidden in the shadows. Instead, their parents were treating them like they were… kids.

"They said 'no', didn't they?"

Based on her sister's tone, Harriet already knew the answer, but she snorted anyway. "Of course they did. Who cares if Harry was literally fighting for his life to protect us? Obviously, we need to focus on our studies instead, you know, the important things that have helped us out so much in the past two years."

The raven-haired girl groaned before sitting down on her bed, "We need to do sothing. Maybe we should ask Riddle for help."

"Oh please, after her threat at the start of the year and Dumbledore's 'lock everyone up and hope it all goes away' plan? She will probably give us detention just to make sure we don't do anything they don't approve of."

Her sister humd in thought, silent for a few minutes in clear contemplation before speaking once more, "Getting books shouldn't be too hard. We go to the library and see what we can find, and I bet Hermione could order so without suspicion, especially if we give her so money. She will want in on it though. You saw how she looked when we had to leave Harry. It almost looked like we would need to drag her away."

"The more the rrier, plus if we get enough, we could each learn sothing different and teach the others."

"Luna and Ginny?"

Here Amy bit her lip, it was one thing for their own family, and soone their own age, to volunteer but the other two were a year younger. It wasn't as if she doubted their resolve, but it still felt wrong putting them into harm's way. "Maybe we could teach them a few simple things, nothing dangerous but like… you know, basic stuff they might not learn until later."

With that the pair began to plan.

"It was your fault."

Grace Riddle let out a deep sigh. It had been a stressful couple of days, as the first few of classes always were. Add onto that almost disastrous attack on the Express, Harry's near-death state, all the rumors, the lingering fears from both the current threats and mories from the past year, and finally the Wizengamot being as useless as it always tended to be in stressful situations.

Still, she had known this confrontation was imminent, how could it not be? It didn't an she was happy about it, however. "And what are you referring to this ti, Snape?"

The other witch was standing nearby, glaring daggers while the rest of her posture was as cold as ice. "You know exactly what."

"Let guess, you think I am secretly a werewolf, communicated with another pack and orchestrated the attack on the train all because of so crazed theory."

Anger, frustration, even so embarrassnt flashed across the potion professor's features before they were smoothed away. "Of course not, but I do know it is your fault Harry almost died. You taught him those spells, you pushed him into defense and combative magic, you..."

Before she could react, Riddle snapped out, grabbing the opposing woman by the collar and slamming her into a wall, wand already pushing against her chest in silent threat. "Shut up Snape," she snarled, earning a wide-eyed stare from the witch. "I did not force him to use spells he wasn't prepared for, nor did I order him to throw himself headfirst into danger to protect others. If you paid half as much attention as you claim, then you would realize he would have done so regardless of what he could do and my tutoring probably saved his life along with the lives of countless other children. If I would have had more ti last year perhaps he would have been better suited to the magic instead of 'winging it' but you can bla yourself for that. Instead of complaining and looking for anyone else who might be at fault, maybe,just maybe, you could take action and improve the situation for once in your miserable life."

With that she stord off, leaving the younger professor a bit shaken and contemplative.
