"You think I can ever get a shot to see your place?" he asked hopefully.
I considered it for a mont before tentatively nodding.
"It should also work for you and my other contacts as well. Though I am unsure if permanent reality swapping is possible without cutting off access to your origin worlds." I said honestly.
"Nova! You hungry? Theres a noodle stand nearby that's pretty good, my treat." he offered with a grin.
I shook my head with a grimace "Don't take this the wrong way but I happen to know for a fact the food in this world is atrocious. I brought my own for while i'm here." I said frankly.
"Eh, I don't think it's that bad." he said with a shrug.
"Most of your food is artificial mate, and not even good artificial. Almost all of the food I eat is the real deal. at from animals, vegetables grown from healthy soil and not genetically ssed with. The sheer amount of chemicals in your food would be classified as a war cri in my world." I said bluntly.
"Harsh. You wouldn't happen to be willing to share by chance would you?" he asked sheepishly.
"Here. Now where is this scav haunt? I want to get my part done quickly." I said as I handed him a still warm plate of roast beef from my inventory.
"Ah, I forgot you don't have any chro. Hold up, I think I can get a map up on the terminal over here." he said ignoring the beef for now to sort of stare at a laptop sitting on the desk that's screen flickered and soon had a map on of Night city.
He highlighted two buildings and explained that the green one was where we currently were and the blue one was the scav haunt. He then just ignored any sort of table manners and grabbed the roast beef with his hand and bit into it. The look of sheer enjoynt on his face said more than enough about this worlds food and I patted myself on the back for my foresight in getting the house elves to make backup food. I didn't bother him as he ate ravenously and fully extended my observation haki. Imdiately I was assaulted by a vast amount of violence, drug use, blatant pornography disguised as advertisent and plain old sexual acts.-
I couldn't help but screw up my face in disgust at it all but despite this I had to admit the place was a veritable playground for my devil fruit. Electrical energy was literally everywhere, even in the people! And in such amounts I felt like I'd need only a thought to use my full power, no long charging ti needed. I turned myself into my elental state and ignored David's stunned expression as I shot into an electrical outlet and across the city through the energy grid. Monts later I ca out of a transforr on the side of a building across from the scav haunt.-
The buildings in Night city were vastly different based on where you where in it. Watson had run down but modern/futuristic buildings, Westbrook was techno-futuristic mixed with traditional Japanese, Santo Domingo was a bunch of shoddy cent buildings for the most part. Pacifica was both among the most futuristic but also run down of places. That one was because it was ant to be a sort of rich persons resort but all developnt basically stopped halfway through and never got picked up again. Heywood was all modern buildings with so of those cheap cent buildings at it's bottom edges and futuristic ones towards it's top.-
Finally you had city center that was the heart of the corporations in Night city and as a result only had the most modern and fancy buildings. The na also wasn't a mistake as it was literally dead center of the city, no doubt intentionally. David's current place was in Westbrook and the scav haunt was in Santo Domingo. Thanks to this the bright flash that accompanied my appearance from the transforr was incredibly noticeable. Most who saw it were imdiately wary as a result and the Sixth street gang mbers even drew weapons in case I was an enemy.-
I noticed this but ignored it as I pulled my spear out of my right hands bandages and expanded it to full size. I then casually pointed it towards the sky and started to gather the ambient electrical charges in the atmosphere. Dark clouds rapidly ford and thunder rumbled loudly as the clouds swam with lightning in vast amounts waiting to be released. I didn't say a word but pointed the tip of my spear down at the scav haunt. Imdiately the lightning in the clouds gathered and dropped in a massive pillar of electrical devastation. -
The strike was thunderous and shook the air and ground while a blinding light shone out. It was over in an instant and in the place of the building was now a dozen ter deep and wide red hot molten crater. I nodded at this satisfied before putting my spear away and elentalizing again and heading back to David's. The guy himself was staring at when I reappeared with his jaw on the floor and his eyes bulging out in shock.-
"What? Sothing on my face?" I asked teasingly.
"What the hell was that!?" he demanded with excitent once he recovered.
"Magic, of a sort. Scav haunts gone by the way. I imagine the video of it should be hitting the net soon." I said casually.
I was right too as it showed up on various news channels and all over the net as Night city scrambled to process what was being shown. I wouldn't be surprised if all the corporations in the city were in a rush to figure out what that was and who was responsible. Naturally that was the plan. It was a show of power and more importantly a threat to anyone who figures out the key detail of how I got there and did what I did.
