My next ti awake left feeling strangely as I was visited by a ghost for history of magic quizzing and I have no clue how the hell soone can just exist and make tired but professor Binns did it. Shortly after that it was professor Quirelmort's turn to visit for DADA quiz. I'll give the guy(s?) props for his professionalism to playing the role of the terrified stuttering ss as even when he was only dealing with just he still stuttered and twitched while feigning paranoia.-
The worst part though had to be the gods awful scent he had wafting off him. A mix of incense and garlic at ridiculously strong levels. The most amusing part was when he acted out of his role and tried to grab my spear. Probably at the orders of the noseless face on the back of his head if I'm not mistaken. The literal shock he got for his troubles summoned Madam Pomphrey who chided him for carelessness before leaving since the shock was rely a warning from the spear and not an actual attack.-
Still I got through the encounter unscathed and it was fairly clear that even if the execution was shoddy due to the act Voldemort still acted as a genuinely good teacher for the subject. Yeah I said Voldemort and not Quirrell and I ant it. According to the books Quirrell was just a middling level Muggle studies professor before he got hijacked by the wraith of Voldemort. If you an to tell soone like that was well versed enough in the subject of DADA to teach it I'd call you a liar. It was pretty damn obvious that through Quirrell Voldemort was playing his fantasized role as a professor of the subject.-
While the stuttering and acting might distract from it if you actually paid attention to what was being said you'd notice that it all made sense and contained insight not ntioned in the textbooks. If i'm being honest I have to admit that perhaps Dumbledore rejecting Voldemorts application to the position was not entirely necessary. I get why it was from a moral and even strategical standpoint as no sane person would trust the future of their children to a madman like Voldemort. But at the sa ti the guy was actually a pretty good teacher, though that might be from his own deep study and mastery of the dark arts.-
Whatever the case I got through that quiz and teaching session without any trouble minus a slight look of interest in Quirrell's eyes at how much I knew in pure theory. To be honest that part didn't feel great at all. I absolutely didn't want Voldemorts attention if I could help it. I wasn't delusional though, there was no way anyone could show off prodigy levels of learning or skill without the guy paying them close attention.-
Even if my own mugglebornness might repulse him with his weird obsession with blood purity he definitely appreciated talent even more. His trust and reliance on Snape from the books pointed this out since Snape was only a half-blood but a potions prodigy and even quite talented in other fields as well. I very sincerely doubted I wouldn't be getting so form of recruitnt attempt so ti in my future. Whether it be through Quirrell or even later during the Triwizard tournant it didn't matter since it was definitely coming if I kept showing so much talent.-
I might not want to get involved in the ssy events of canon but I wasn't going to run from them if they ca to on their own. This life was my second chance and I was going to live it how I wanted, canon be damned. Though if I'm being totally fair canon was likely fubar already just because of my re existence. The mont I start expanding my rchant empire here with things from other worlds the variables that lead to the future will get scrambled worse than if you threw an egg in a blender. I had no intention of picking a side either between Voldemort and Dumbledore but would openly sell my wares to both.-
Once Whitebeard brought the Goro goro no mi it would beco incredibly hard to catch or harm even for magical powerhouses like those two for a single reason, speed. The fruits power would give the potential to think and even move at the speed of lightning. Not at first of course since no human was ant to do so but devil fruits spat in the face of what a person SHOULD be capable of. -
I'd need to seriously work on my physique and haki to pull it off but in theory it was doable. Once I got it done though I would be nearly impossible to trap. There is a reason the goro goro no mi was called the invincible logia. There is nothing in nature as destructive and fast as lightning and when the full power of that is wielded by a clever mind it's much more dangerous. Unlike Enel who was absolutely wasting the fruits potential I fully intended to excavate the fruits power. That aside I figured that so long as I didn't get careless I wouldn't have much trouble.-
I got rebandaged and dosed a bit after that so it was lights out. My new books were waiting for when I woke up. Flitwicks book was on the various anings and purposes behind wand movents. Sprouts was an extended encyclopedia of plants and seeds. Binns was a well worn to on the goblin rebellions. Finally was Quirrell's book that was a to on dueling. Specifically the various tactics and combos for it. With nothing better to do I focused my haki to bring up my magic and used a careful wandless spell to bring the book on wand movents to my lap.
