When they entered the Great Hall, and sat down, Professor McGonagall announced that, as a treat for enduring the year, exams were canceled.
Hermione turned her face towards the boy, her left arm possessively around his waist, fixing him in the seat, looking stricken.
"Hey, you can take a break for one year. They were due to start in three days..."
’Three days?!" she shrieked, "How long was I petrified for?"
"A couple of months," Lucifer’s tone was normal, but the girl had now lost her sense of reason.
"I’ll have missed out on so much, so many lessons, you’ll have to help catch up, Lucifer. Over the sumr-!"
"You’re going to France....I already made several bottles on your request, so that you won’t go hungry over th-"
And, Hermione gave another little squeal, began listing off how they can use the mirror, to help with the past lessons.
Draco Malfoy was no longer acting like he owned the place after his father had been sacked as a School Governor.
While seeing Ginny not looking pale and actually lively also made Lucifer smile, knowing she was free from Riddle’s influence.

"What are we ant to do with Defence Against the Dark Arts now?" Ron asked, looking down at his titable, as they were due there in ten minutes.
"They’re cancelled," Lucifer gave a whistle, "We just don’t go, consider them free periods!"
’Brilliant!’ Ron also said eagerly as he tucked his titable away.
Hermione gave her boyfriend a disappointing tut, she didn’t like his idea of skipping classes. What if they hired a new teacher?
Even though, knew it’s just impossible, but still...
"Co on, Hermione. You know, he actually didn’t teach us anything, right?" Harry said, "The most exciting lesson was the one Lucifer ridiculed hi-"
"You insulted him?!" Hermione asked, spinning to look at Lucifer, with a disbelief expression.
"He was insulting Hagrid, said that he was definitely guilty for the snake or he wouldn’t have been taken away. I couldn’t exactly break his spine, but Lockhart deserved it, and the chair, and the book..." Lucifer just marked his own death.
"What do you an?" Hermione asked warningly, her fingers twitching, eyes narrowed at this boy’s figure.
"Did you cause trouble, while I was gone?"
"I an I magically threw a chair at him at the end, then Thomas also threw a book. Or so he tells , I stord out before-’ but Lucifer paused seeing the look on his girlfriend’s face.
"Now I know how you feel about breaking the school rules, or causing trouble which may lead to expuls-"
"I’m going to give you a ten second head start, Lucifer. You’d best hope that giant snake taught you how to run faster than !"
They returned to the common room that night with Harry, Ron and Hermione in very high spirits and Lucifer wincing slightly as he walked.
"Proud of yourself?" Hermione asked him as she slotted into the sa armchair as him in the common room.
"Couldn’t be prouder," he said, throwing his arm around her.
Hermione gave a loud snort.

A few days later, they were back on the train, heading towards King’s Cross.
Lucifer watched Rowena fly beside the train with Hedwig, and he noticed both of them had been getting along well.
Easily best friends with the way they interacted.
Currently Harry, Ron, Hermione, Lucifer, Fred, George, and Ginny all got a compartnt together on the Hogwarts Express ride ho.
Fred and George sat alongside Harry and Ron, whilst Ginny sat next to Lucifer and Hermione who was taking up two seats owing to her lying down with her head on Lucifer’s leg.
They played an exploding snap, set off the last of Fred and George’s fireworks and practiced spells.
While he was looking outside the train window, Hermione’s voice reached out to Lucifer, for playing catch up with her on so of the lessons she had missed.
When they were almost back at King’s Cross, Harry had brought up sothing, "Ginny - what did you see Percy doing that he didn’t want you to tell anyone?"
"Oh, that," Ginny said, giggling as she did, "Well - our dear older brother has got himself... a girlfriend!"
Fred and George stopped what they were doing imdiately, Ginny having their full attention, "It wouldn’t happen to be the girl Hermione had been with in the hospital wing, would it?" Lucifer asked.
"You either already knew, or that was an incredibly lucky guess," Ginny said in awe.
"Lucky guess, I’d say," Hermione said playfully.
"Yeah, I walked in on them kissing in an empty classroom one day. He was so upset when she was - you know - attacked. You won’t tease him, will you?" Ginny asked the twins.
"Wouldn’t dream of it," Fred said, looking like his birthday had co early.
"Definitely not," George said, snickering as he did.
The train finally pulled into the station and the Weasley’s all left first, Harry giving Ron his phone number, or rather, the Dursley’s phone number.
Harry’s family showed up next and Lucifer scowled at them the whole ti; the way his Uncle treated him, grabbing his arm like that, dragging him along.
It angered him, but he knew he couldn’t lose himself in front of Muggles.
Lucifer and Hermione sat down on a bench until her parents arrived, "You going to be alright yourself, over the sumr?"
"Of course!" Hermione nodded her face excitedly, her eyes so bright,"I can’t believe you packed up so much for to drink!"
She grabbed his shirt and tugged him down to kiss him fiercely on the cheek, "I got ti so...Look, your Mum has arrived."
"Hey, you are right!"
"Enjoy the vacation, you deserve a nice break..."
"Thanks....I hope you take care of yourself, and if there’s any problem just mirror call !"
Saying that, Hermione gave him a big hug, before departing towards her family.
For obvious reasons, she didn’t tell them about the Basilisk or being petrified, because they might not let her back at Hogwarts if she did.
"You can reveal yourself now."
"Makima."
"Shall we go ho, My Lord?"
Makima is one of the Upper Demons resembling a human woman in her twenties of average build, and marginally above average height.
She has long light red/pale auburn hair, kept in a loose braid with bangs reaching just past her eyebrows and two longer side bangs that fra her face.
Her eyes are yellow with multiple red rings within them, making them the only visible sign of her inhuman nature.
"Yeah, I miss the sll of alcohol."
