Chris knew how dangerous it was for her and her baby to attack Stormy like that. But she couldn’t just watch Isla die just because she had lost her powers. She needed to make a decision and make it quickly. So she did what she could think of. She punched Stormy as hard as she could, and before Stormy could react, Chris grabbed the wand from Stormy’s hand. Stormy stumbled back, screaming and holding her now broken and bloody nose. Stormy’s henchn stepped forward, ready to kill Chris, but they stopped looking at Stormy’s wand in Chris’s hand. The henchn knew Chris couldn’t do magic anymore, but they also knew what she had done once; everyone knew she had killed so many of Maligno’s people and Death Eaters without hesitation. Thus, the henchn looked at Chris to Stormy, hoping for Stormy’s orders.
Chris, however, had no idea what she was going to do with the wand. She took it on instincts and now she was lost. But she didn’t put the wand down, noticing the fear in the henchn’s eyes, Chris kept the wand pointing at them. For the first ti, since Chris had lost her powers, she begged the founders for so miracle. Anything. She needed to save her baby and Isla. She looked at her hands holding the wand, which was brushed from punching Stormy, while her other hand cradled her pregnant belly.
"I’m your successor, Madam Helga. My blood should be worth so magic," Chris thought in her head as she watched a thin stream of blood slowly trickling down her hand.
"Good," Stormy spat with a crazy smile. "At least you fought back, even though you fight like a muggle." Stormy then eyed Chris, holding her wand and her Henchn, looking sceptical about approaching Chris. "What are you waiting for, fools? She can’t use the wand. Grab her and get back my wand."
The Henchn nodded and started approaching Chris, and Chris pointed her wand at them and scread in her head, "Bombarda!"
That’s when it happened. A bunch of small explosions occurred in every corner of the room. Stormy’s henchn covered their heads, and Chris grinned. Her powers were back. She tried to break the silencing charm on herself.
But it didn’t work. Chris tried so other spell, but none of them worked. Chris was shocked and more terrified than before. She looked over at Stormy and his n, and they were already recovering from the shock of the explosion.
"How did you –?" Stormy went to grab Chris, and without thinking, Chris jabbed the wand in one of Stormy’s eyes.
"AARHHHH!" Stormy scread in pain as her eye started to bleed.
One of the Henchn attacked Chris, and she dropped low, which was extrely hard because of her huge belly. However, she managed to dodge the attack and pulled out her knife from her shoe and stabbed the henchman’s foot.
The Henchman scread and went to kick Chris. Chris’s eyes widened in fear as she wrapped her arms to protect her baby from the kick, but at that mont, Isla jumped down and shielded Chris’s body with hers. Chris barely felt the impact of the kick as Isla took the hit. They fell back from the impact, and Chris looked at Isla with surprise and gratitude.
However, the mont was short-lived because another Henchman pointed his wand at Chris and Isla, and even before the henchman uttered the spell, Chris knew what was coming; he was going to use the Cruciatis curse on them. Panicked tears filled Chris’s eyes because the torturous curse could kill her child or damage them completely.
The Henchman opened his mouth angrily, "CRU–"
He froze, his eyes glossed over before he could fire the curse, then he just dropped to the floor, completely rigid. Before anyone could understand what had happened, two more henchn went rigid and fell on the floor just like that. Everyone looked around wildly, and another attack ca, and another henchman dropped on the floor. Two more attacks ca for Stormy, and she dodged them as fast as she could. That’s when Chris saw the person behind the attacks. Relief flooded her entire body. They were saved.
Draco Malfoy ran up to Chris and Isla, firing another series of curses.
"Are you ok?" Draco asked, supporting Chris completely as she got up from the floor.
The other henchn tried to attack Draco, but he deflected the attacks, and soone else attacked the henchn from behind. It was Ron. He appeared in front of them and knocked off the last two henchn.
Within minutes, all of the henchn were on the floor. Stormy stood in the middle, looking shocked. She looked for her wand while dodging Ron’s next attacks. Ron reached Chris and Isla and looked over them head to toe.
"Please tell both of you are ok," Ron said, looking worried.
Before Chris could answer or sign that she had a silencing charm over her, Stormy started the fight with Ron and Draco. None of them held back attacks. Ron and Draco fought with every dangerous curse they knew. By the looks of it, they were ready to kill Stormy for what she had done. The fight turned into a blur and flurry of lights until there was another scream. One of Ron’s spells had hit Stormy’s arm, and it was going limp fast. Taking advantage of the situation, Ron and Draco advanced on Stormy as Stormy backed away, still fighting.
"Malfoy, take Chris and Isla to a safe place," Ron yelled.
"As soon as the witch drops, I will." Draco shouted back.
Stormy’s right eye and nose were still bleeding, and her arm wasn’t moving anymore. Chris knew that was slowing Stormy down; otherwise, with her skill, she would have won by now.
One of Draco’s curses hit her as she was a bit too slow to put up a shield. Stormy finally realised that she wasn’t going to win, so she tried to back away towards the warehouse door. Ron tried to block her way but failed.
"Do not think you have won, Christina. It’s not the end, I promise you," Stormy yelled before running out. "IT’S NOT THE END!"
"Protect Chris and Isla," Ron said to Draco, and was about to follow him when Draco’s shocked voice stopped him.
"Chris!" Draco was looking at Chris, shocked. Chris stared at him, bewildered. "Chris, your – I think your water just broke."
"What?" Ron froze, staring at Chris with wide eyes.
"We need to take her to St. Mungus, now!" Draco ordered.
