"First of all, I ca here to get acquainted with you."

Kailen noticed the underlying aning behind his words—connections.

Zarek Atrexia ca to see him to secure so sort of connection with him.

He didn’t have a problem with that.

"Also," Zarek continued, "I wanted to explicitly express that the Atrexia Society is always willing to provide any form of assistance to the Sword Tribunal Society at any point in ti. Our doors are always open to you."

Kailen nodded.

Of course.

He knew what was going on here.

For so reason, this guy wanted to be on good terms with him, and what better way to do that than to offer support and assistance to the person you wanted to be on good terms with?

"What terrifying foresight," Kailen couldn’t help but mutter inwardly to himself.

This guy had definitely realized that Kailen had a terrifying future and wanted to be on his good side.

"At least, he’s sensible, unlike the others plotting my death with every second they get. That Enna Harker, has no idea that I’m watching her every move huh. Telling that fatso to get rid of ? Heh. How pitiful."

Kailen muttered inwardly to himself. However, he remained calm on the surface as he replied to Zarek with a smile, his tone polite.

"This gesture of goodwill is really appreciated. Thank you."

Zarek nodded.

"It’s only natural. Soone of your caliber is worth being on the good side of. As for why my sister decided to join the Sword Tribunal Society, I have no idea concerning that. However, it is her decision, and I frankly do not oppose it. So do not worry. Well, from your disposition, I’m sure you are not the kind to really give a crap about what others think, so it wouldn’t have mattered to you if I had a problem with it or not."

Kailen nodded at his words.

Zarek was right.

He wouldn’t ask Everlong Atrexia why she decided to join the Sword Tribunal Society instead of her family society, as long as she did her duties to the Sword Tribunal Society.

Also, why would he be worried about whether or not the lady’s elder brother would be pissed off on her sister joining the Sword Tribunal Society?

When had he ever thought of others’ opinions before he did stuff?

Had he been too careful, for instance, offending the Harkers because of his vengeful personality would never have happened.

For Kailen, as long as he knew he was doing what he deed he was satisfied with, he wouldn’t be concerned about people’s opinions.

"You seem to be a great judge of personality, Master Zarek."

Kailen couldn’t help but complint the other fellow.

"Naturally. There’s a reason why the Atrexia Clan has been one of the leading powers in the area of comrce in the empire. We are trained from a young age to make sound judgents concerning people. There are people more worth befriending than offending."

Noticing Kailen smiled, unperturbed—especially at the latter part of his words—but revealed an expression as though he understood Zarek perfectly, Zarek couldn’t help but be more certain about the young man’s terrifying future.

He stood up, offering Kailen one final piece of advice.

"Be careful though, young sir. The academy is a safe place, but it’s also fraught with danger, not just from people, but there have been incidents of students going missing occasionally. Most of these have been attributed to them dying during missions. But I can’t help but think there’s more to this."

Zarek said the last words in a low tone.

"What if there are Vimodial contractors in the academy?"

Zarek noticed that Kailen’s eyes squinted slightly, returning to their usual state. He understood that Kailen seed shocked slightly at the conjecture.

He continued, "After all, there’s no way to detect them since Vimodials and their contractors made an appearance in the universe. Even rune oaths aid at singling them out not working on them, as the only way to identify Vimodial contractors is when they are actively using their ability, siphoning life force out of sentient beings. What if there’s an instructor who’s contracted and sponsoring their movents in the academy? Of course, it’s all just a theory I ca up with. But one cannot help but be too careful."

Kailen nodded.

"I will take your words into consideration. It may be a conjecture, but it’s still a terrifying possibility. Thank you."

Zarek said, "You’re welco. Take care of my sister and her childhood sweetheart. Also, Ashton’s sister is quite troubleso. If you have any issues handling her, kindly don’t hesitate to ring up."

Kailen nodded.

"Sure."

Zarek simply turned into a streak of light and disappeared through a window.

Kailen was still thinking about his words about the possibility of Vimodial Contractors in the academy, not in the least bit worried about how to deal with the other societies.

"If this is true, then not just an instructor, a couple of instructors and fourth and fifth year students may be supporting the existence of this secret society of Vimodial Contractors. I need to grow stronger and raise the strength of this society as soon as possible, so that when they co looking for trouble, I’d be prepared to deal with them."

"They exist in the academy, no doubt."

The Ti Dilation Artifact whispered in his ear.

"Several Vimodials will notice the terrifying amount of life force you possess and will draw their contractors towards you, especially during your missions.

Don’t worry about any of them joining your society though.

I naturally have a way of identifying them."

Kailen nodded in understanding.

Rather than being scared, he was thinking that the Vimodials making an appearance would make things easy for him as he wouldn’t have to go looking for them. All he had to do was increase his strength.

He had a more personal feud with them after all. They destroyed his father’s forr sect on his father’s morial day.

Brushing these thoughts to the back of his mind for now, he stood up, heading towards the large hall of the Society.

It was ti to address his new society mbers.
