The massacre of Maple Square had thrown the city into a period of mourning .

Various ga centres,amusent parks, shopping malls, and other recreational centers in the city had been destroyed alongside a large number of people.

The individuals responsible for the genocide had gone all out.

People vented as much as they could however the damage had been done.

The unknown assailant(s) responsible for the massacre remained a mystery.

The FLEA held a press conference ,encouraging the citizens that the culprits behind the incident would be found, however it was obviously just a way to calm the citizens down .

It was obvious that the FLEA (Federation Law Enforcent Agency) branch in the city was aware that the black market had relocated and therefore decided to raze their previous base to the ground, however they decided to keep the matter under the wraps to avoid further drama. Also, there was no way they could locate the culprits.

Their surveillence footages had only sighted the owner of the black market in a car outside the city. However that was all. It was as though the guy had dissapeared into thin air after that .

Furthermore the FLEA didn’t know about the Terror Surge Syndicate, as even the superiors of Angela , a high ranked mber of then Special Ops departnt in the Federation Military knew nothing about them. They were practically an organization that didn’t exist,after all Angela had only gotten to know that such an organization existed due to her visions. Oblivious to the happenings of the city ,Kailen had disappeared from his room.

Kailen stared at the environs of the pocket world with intrigue.

" Magical. This place is simply magical. Co to think of it, the last ti I was in the pocket world, I didn’t have the ti to explore" Ignoring the lush greenery of the grasses on his he stood, he took ti to glance at his surroundings .

He saw the peaks of towering majestic mountains far off in the distance, the rich vegetation of a forest with towering trees of lush greenery a few kiloters away from him also coming to his notice.

As the cool breeze of the morning grazed his skin, he looked into the skies,shocked to find out that a sun had not appeared ,yet it was bright as day.

He decided not to dwell on the strangeness of the pocket world of the ti dilation artifact , making a decision to explore the pocket world.

" System, are there any diabolic beasts in the pocket world?, and if I die here,will I die in the real world?"

The ti dilation artifact did not respond ,leaving Kailen to figure out things on his own.

He clicked his tongue in annoyance, then summoned Vengeful,his most powerful Shadow Creature. A man could not be too careful after all, he had to protect himself. Who knew what terrifying creatures were hiding in the ti dilation artifact.

The shadow wyvern flapped its wings,with Kailen seated atop it’s obsidian back, causing the duo to traverse long distances in a few monts.

As the duo traversed the skies,Kailen noticed a few animals moving around in the pocket world.

" Fascinating, it seems just as flora exists in this pocket world,Fauna also exists perfectly "

He noted ,finally co towards the edge of the forest.

" I can’t explore the forest very well if we remain flying. Using shadow manipulation can only help to sense shadows,not see actual stuff . I have decided "

Vengeful landed at the edge of the forest. Kailen landed beside him , the creature turning into a tenebrous mass of shadows that gravitated towards him, embracing his being,forming an obsidian shadow armor around him.

The strength of an S ranked coursed through his being, as his obsidian form ventured into the forest.

Rays of light peered through the tiny gaps in the large foliages of flora, causing tiny spots of light to appear on the grounds of the forest.

As the fresh scent of leaves wafted through Kailen’s nostrils, shadow manipulation had been activated , granting him the ability to sense the movents of shadows in the environs.

" A man can’t be too careful after -"

Kailen sensed in a split second, a shadow shooting towards his obsidian figure.

The creature however was an unfortunate one.

With swift reflexes,his obsidian figure caught the neck of the serpent in his right hand,then with a squeeze, the creature’s neck was squashed, causing red blood to stain his obsidian hands., the creature shaking it’s serpentine body for a few seconds before it stopped moving.

Releasing the dead creature from his grip ,it fell down lifelessly,sprawled on the ground .

Kailen took a better glance at the serpent . It was about 3 ters long, with an extrely green body that seed to mimick the flora of the forest perfectly .

However although it was quite lengthy ,it was not large .

" This forest could be dangerous. How can a B ranked creature be so powerful and fast"

Even though Kailen had easily killed the creature,he was still shocked .

The creature was B ranked, but if he estimated correctly, it’s speed was akin to that of An A ranked shadow creature.

" Oh, I rember that when I awakened ,the system inford that due to the density of worldly natural energy in the pocket world,I was stronger than the ordinary E ranked awakened. It seems this also applies to creatures in the pocket world" He mused correctly then sighed.

" A pity that my slot for creating Shadow Creatures is full at the mont . Looks like I have to increase my rank as an awakener for my slots to increase. Could have turned this fellow into a shadow creature. However I should not be rushing too much too in increasing my ranks. I have to make sure I get used to my strength in a rank before I proceed to attempt a breakthrough into another one. Unlike when I was under extre pressure to fight the wyvern, I should not be rushing too much to increase ranks from now. I should consolidate my strength in a rank first, so that I don’t have a weak foundation"

Kailen sighed , then continued to move through the forest.

A large scream suddenly reverberated through the forest , followed by extrely loud thumping sounds.

Kailen sensed through shadow manipulation a towering shadow looming over him.

His figure blurred,as he activated the seven phantoms movent technique he had been practicing for the past few days after returning from the black market.

Seven silhouettes of his obsidian figure suddenly appeared, moving in zig-zag manner.

He crossed a few kiloters in a split second.

. Just then, a large foot akin to that of a large creature several tres large landed at where he stood previously, accompanied with an earth shaking vibration ,that caused fissures to appear at the point of impact,so trees swaying and being uprooted from the pressure of the impact.

Kailen’s vision lingered on the maniacal creature that had almost crushed him with it’s foot.. It was a green colored fat goblin of about 7 ters tall ,holding a large club, boasting a nacing grin.

And the creature was radiating the strength of an S ranked .

Kailen knew, he had to go all out.

He was about to fight with a hobgoblin ,and an extrely strong S ranked one at that.
