He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact Chapter 704. Overestimation?
[ The Count of Castelan’s daughter is in critical condition at the mont, due to a very dangerous wound she sustained mysteriously. She is unable to speak at the mont.
Mission: Covertly, identify the cause of her injury and find a way to inform the Count of Castelan about it.
NB: You are to operate covertly, so as not to get the guild involved in anything large that may be at play here.
Difficulty level: HIGH.
Reward: 400 contribution points, 1000 gold coins ]
"So I’m to covertly execute everything concerning this mission. What probably makes the difficulty level this high is in identifying the cause of the Count’s daughter’s injury. It can be inferred from this that even intelligence organizations in the city definitely don’t have any leads concerning this too." Kailen was in thought.
Suddenly, soone stared in his direction and scoffed. The person looked at the holographic display of the mission Kailen was looking at, sighed, and shook his head.
"What’s wrong, Branham?" soone asked the fellow on seeing his reaction at looking at the unfamiliar guild mber.
"This fellow thinks taking on a high-difficulty mission is easy." Branham shook his head. "Also, he’s taking that mission related to the Count’s daughter. He must be thinking of getting so information from intelligence agencies. Heh."
Several in the hall turned to Kailen’s direction. They all looked at him and sighed. They were not looking down on him; they just felt he was overestimating himself.
"Newbies are always like this. They think they should take on high-difficulty level missions and quickly appear on the premium ranking list."
"Heh, experience will teach him."
"I am curious about his outco for this mission."
"Whatever happens, though, no one in the guild is allowed to leak the fact that he took on the mission. It’s a covert mission after all."
"Yeah. The guild has ways of finding out if anyone does anything of the sort. They can be dealt with rcilessly."
After several exchanges among the guild mbers in the hall, everyone’s focus returned to the missions they were choosing. Naturally, Kailen didn’t feel even an iota of emotion concerning their words. He was not in the least bit concerned about what they thought. He was not here to prove a point to anyone. He only cared about completing his mission.
Kailen selected the mission. Where the mission was marked, Kailen Darkhaven has selected the mission.
"He really selected it?"
"He will definitely co back sighing in defeat, or worse, sothing unforeseen may happen to him."
"Yeah, those high-difficulty missions can be quite unpredictable after all."
***
Kailen walked out of the guild. He sat on a street bench in thought, ignoring the chatter of people walking past him.
"Count’s mansion. Edge of Baklind street, according to the city map."
"High-difficulty missions can be unpredictable, according to the words of the guild mbers. It seems I should be more covert in handling this mission than even the mission requested. The best way to do that is to not draw attention to myself. But there’s nothing that can help one to change their bodily structure and appearance in the chaotic region of the universe."
"I could have approached the estate of the Count disguised as soone else, to find clues from inside the estate. However, it seems I will have to resort to observing things from a distance. Wait... I have the principle of space. Observing others from a very long distance should be very easy. I will just shift locations from which I observe the estate every ten minutes for covert purposes."
Kailen decided to choose a location for his plan. "It should be sowhere very inconspicuous." A glint flashed through Kailen’s eyes. "The city mountains."
Kailen lded with the void and disappeared.

Kailen popped out of the void. He stared around him. He stood at the edge of several mountain planes. He activated the principle of space. He saw several regions of the mountain planes in a mont.
Kailen was doing this because he didn’t want to run into any trouble with any crazy fellow. Also, one thing he had read about the chaotic region of the universe online was that there were what was referred to as chaotic beasts that naturally existed in the chaotic region of the universe. They could be found in several regions of the chaotic region.
One important thing about them was that killing a chaotic beast naturally released their principle fragnt into the environnt. Let’s say if the beast had the principle of space, killing them would naturally release the principle fragnts of space into the environs.
However, they were very dangerous creatures. Their comprehension of their principle, compared to awakeners, was deeper. If a rank 1 novice-stage transcendent encountered a rank 1 novice-stage chaotic beast, it was more likely for the beast to overwhelm them due to the beast’s deeper principle comprehension.
Kailen did not want to encounter such creatures. He would definitely try hunting chaotic beasts with the principle of space when he was stronger. But now, he was too weak. He was only here for a mission. This was why he was being extrely careful.
Anyway, a thought had occured to Kailen when he found out about the chaotic beasts. He was thinking of kidnapping chaotic beasts to the pocket world to kill them there. And when their principle fragnts appear after their death, he would use the ti dilation ability of the pocket world to his advantage and comprehend the principle. However the will of the universe shattered his hopes again.
She explained to him that chaotic beasts naturally belonged to the chaotic region of the universe. If he took them to the pocket world and killed them there, no principle fragnts would appear after their death because the working program of the chaotic region of the universe will not function in any place other than the chaotic region of the universe.
Kailen sighed on rembering this. He was well aware and understood from everything the Will of the Universe had already told him that the pocket world would be of no use to him when he got to the transcendant level.
But.. he thought at least, this idea that had crossed his mind was a loophole he could exploit. Turns out he was just daydreaming.
Kailen’s attention returned to what he was doing at the mont.
A glint flashed through his eyes. He had figured out the safe routes after his simple scout. As expected, there were several chaotic beasts and transcendents either hunting them or lurking in the depths of the mountain. So of them were most likely bandits. Fortunately, he was not stupid to just rush into the mountain ranges when he arrived.
He chose a spot. He lded with the void and disappeared.
***
Kailen appeared on top of a very ginormous mountain. Kailen activated the principle of space. A glint flashed through his abyss-like eyes. Very soon, from the mountain, he saw everything happening in the Count of Castelan’s estate.
Kailen focused on facial expressions. With emotional resonance, facial expressions would reveal more to him than any words could.
"Ti to get to work."
