A few monts later, Kailen stood before his group of friends.

He had finished going through the mories concerning the syndicate that the shadow creature version of Phil Ngonzola had transferred to him.

The group were seated in a circle in the private jet about to listen to what Kailen had to say.

" Let’s start with Phila’s brother" Everyone nodded at his words ,throwing an empathic glance at Phila.

" I’m not having a hard ti so you guys can stop being all lovey dovey " Phila chuckled. The last few hours she had spent with the group had caused her to loosen up. She was no longer as polite with them as she used to be.

Everyone chuckled at her words, a warm atmosphere pervading the scene.

"Phila Ngonzola was aided by the syndicate to control your parents. With the help of the Syndicate ,he sohow managed to brainwash them into slowly growing to believe and succumb to his words"

Phila’s eyes widened " This was why on the day my parents disowned , it felt like they were acting too unnatural. They just spoonged on every accusation he made against , believing him without battling an eye. So this was what was happening"

Kailen nodded "Also, he made sure to poison them slowly.

It’s not known to even the family elders , however both your parents are now bedridden, currently on their last legs . They have at most a year to live if nothing is done for them"

Phila would have been indifferent to Kailen’s words had she not known that Phil had brainwashed his parents’ with the Syndicate’s help.

As of now, she had treated them with contempt for being unfair to her . What sort of heartless parents would disown their young daughter, especially when she was carrying a child?

Mum just ntioned it to the staff of the research departnt ,hinting that she would tell us more about it when the ti is right. Maybe you guys could volunteer to join the expedition when the invitation slots are released. Arrie’s bubly smile and sparkly blue eyes scanned the faces present, causing everyone to nod, except Angela Hayes.

She coughed awkwardly as everyone looked at her with a weird expression " I cannot promise I will join the expedition since I’m a special ops agent of the military . I don’t know if I would be assigned a mission at the ti so don’t get wrong. However I’m not heartless enough to ignore my father’s best friend when I can help save his life and that of his wife so, I will apply for a leave"

The group chuckled at the whole drama, making the atmosphere light hearted.

Phila and Micheal stood up, then bowed to the group. They were willing to sacrifice to thread on unchartered waters just to find an ingredient that could help cure Phila’s dad. This was sothing the couple didn’t take for granted.

Micheal and Phila heaved in relief, returning to their usual self " You guys made us feel awkward there" Micheal chuckled as he sat down with his wife.

Kailen smiled then added " Sorry lol..Anyway guys, as I was saying , Phila Ngonzola was one of the high ranking mbers of the Terror Surge Syndicate. However his clearance only allowed him to have a few conversations with the head of the syndicate. That was never done in person though,but through a special phone handed over to him by the syndicate. There were no video calls, only voice calls on a few occasions. From the calls made between him and the founder of the Terror Surge Syndicate, it seed the syndicate wanted to use him to gain control over the Ngonzola family in order to turn every mber of the family into a mber of the Terror Surge Syndicate . Unfortunately , that part of the plan was about to be unveiled when the incident today occured. The syndicate must be fuming right now. A great part of their plan have been technically soiled"
