【Congratulations. You finally got away from them.】

When Wen Yuzhi woke up again, the first thing he saw was the reply the other side had left him.

【Great.】

【It’s fine. You can show later when you get the chance.】

【Be careful.】

Those few concise lines were still the familiar style—brief, stiff, and a little cold.

The other was only a few years older than Wen Yuzhi, yet lived like so aging old cadre. Even the tone of his words carried this serious, proper feeling.

Wen Yuzhi lazily hugged the moon pillow and rolled around once on the soft, comfortable big bed. Then he rested his chin on the pillow, draped over it for a while to wake up properly, before he started replying.

【Good morning, quack

His just-woken brain was still a little foggy, and on impulse, Wen Yuzhi even sent the little emoticon he’d typed underneath along with it.

Only after sending did he realize sothing was off.

He was a reserved Oga—how could he speak so improperly?

But very quickly, Wen Yuzhi rembered he wasn’t in his original world anymore. There were no Alphas or Ogas here, and there wasn’t a pack of sharp-tongued etiquette teachers watching him every second, either...

Which ant what?

It ant he didn’t have to keep up that so-called elegance and dignity all day long anymore, with strict standards for even eating and talking. He could do whatever he wanted.

Anyway, there was only him—an Oga—in this world. Nobody was going to set any rules for him again.

At that thought, Wen Yuzhi’s eyes lit up in an instant.

Ah. So nice.

Still hugging the pillow, he rolled another circle to the left, burying his face in the soft plush and rubbing against it. When he lifted his head again, the little Oga’s smooth hair was a ss, his cheeks were tinged with a bit of red, and those round almond eyes of his were shining, like starlight had fallen into them.

Goodbye to those damn bride etiquette courses. Goodbye to those arrogant, self-important bastard Alphas.

Wen Yuzhi curved his lips, in a genuinely good mood.

He even took a picture of a fluffy duck plush and sent it over. It was a big white duck with a smiling face—dumb-looking in an adorable way.

Only after he sent the photo did Wen Yuzhi ask, as if casually:

【How’s your evaluation going? Is it going smoothly?】

He’d thought about that line for a long ti before deciding to send it.

After all, he’d known this unknown online friend for almost a year now. They chatted happily, but at the end of the day, they were still just online friends who’d never t. So what they talked about was mostly daily trivial things. They hadn’t truly brought up their real situations.

Like how Wen Yuzhi knew the other was busy with school, but didn’t know what school he attended.

He didn’t even know the other’s height, na, face, family—basically nothing.

Wen Yuzhi had always felt that was the other’s privacy. Probing into soone’s privacy without warning wasn’t good. And besides, they were just online friends—there was no need to investigate so thoroughly.

With all that in mind, Wen Yuzhi decided he couldn’t co in too blunt and stiff right away.

What if the other didn’t like people prying?

This was his only friend he could chat with online—his only friend he could still communicate with after arriving in another world.

The value of that friendship didn’t need to be said. Of course Wen Yuzhi had to think it through more. He didn’t want the other to feel offended.

So he decided to start with sothing less sensitive.

And when Wen Yuzhi’s ssage went out, Xi Heyan happened to be taking out his light-brain as well.

The man’s gaze paused slightly on that emoticon.

ω< ?

He tapped the light-brain screen, as if through those simple symbols he could see the smile behind them.

For no reason at all, a faint smile also surfaced in Xi Heyan’s eyes, as if he’d been infected by the other’s happy mood.

Then he opened the photo underneath.

A dumb-looking big white duck filled his view. It stood out especially among a pile of plush dolls, but Xi Heyan’s attention went to the lower-left corner imdiately.

Wen Yuzhi hadn’t noticed when he took the picture—he’d captured his own left hand holding the duck too.

It was a section of ivory-white, slender fingers. The fingertips, faintly pink, were slightly curled as they sank into the soft plush. The wrist that happened to be visible was thin and white, like it could be wrapped up in one hand.

A hand like an artwork.

Back when Wen Yuzhi was in Oga school, teachers had often dragged him into taking all kinds of photos.

A poster of him sitting at a piano, both hands on the keys as he played with lowered eyes, had even been hung on the school’s official site.

That sa day, a bunch of Alphas practically went insane in the comnts, howling like wolves.

It scared the school into swapping the poster out overnight.

But even so, the probability of Wen Yuzhi getting stopped on the road by Alphas increased sharply. Every ti, those Alphas would have red faces, heads lowered, and say shyly that they wanted him to slap them.

Wen Yuzhi: "......"

He’d never heard such a ridiculous request.

Later he found out why.

That piano photo had blown up. Those thin, beautiful hands dancing over the keys were so white it was like they glowed, and it instantly triggered certain secret fetishes buried in those Alphas’ hearts.

From then on, Wen Yuzhi never posted a single photo of his hands on social dia again.

This ti was accidental too—he’d mis-frad it without aning to.

Wen Yuzhi didn’t think much of it. He already knew there were no Alphas in this world. Between good friends, a hand in a photo was no big deal.

They were brothers.

That’s what he thought.

He had absolutely no idea that Xi Heyan—who Wen Yuzhi thought was a brother—stared at the screen for a long ti, his dark pupils sinking into a shadowy depth.

After a mont, as if he’d rembered sothing, Xi Heyan put his finger on the save button. He was a hair away from pressing it when—

"Bang!"

A violent explosion sounded in the distance, accompanied by the blond’s cursing voice at his ear.

"Fuck! Those dead rats are attacking again!"

Xi Heyan didn’t respond.

He still kept the sa posture, looking at the light-brain.

Because of the signal fluctuation, the chat window on the light-brain had automatically disappeared—along with it, the photo.

Xi Heyan pressed his lips together. His face held no expression, but the light in his eyes went completely dark.

When the blond turned back, he saw Xi Heyan looking unusually cold and gloomy all over.

He jumped.

Fuck—who pissed off this big demon king?!

............

Wen Yuzhi waited a while and didn’t see Xi Heyan reply. He assud the other was still busy with the evaluation, so he put the light-brain down.

He went to the bathroom to wash up. When he ca out, he happened to see Alvin standing at the door.

"You..."

Wen Yuzhi froze for a mont. He opened his mouth to say sothing, but then suddenly rembered that he seed not to know the other’s na.

Alvin seed to see Wen Yuzhi’s hesitation. He adjusted his glasses and said gently, "Alvin. That’s my na."

Wen Yuzhi nodded, and replied politely, "My na is Wen Yuzhi. Mr. Alvin, good morning."

Then his gaze fell on the tray in Alvin’s hands.

On it was a set of folded clothes.

Wen Yuzhi couldn’t see the full shape—he could only tell the outside looked kind of fluffy.

This was...?

"Clothes," Alvin said. "New clothes that were just made."

The Saint Clan were too tall. Looking across the entire fleet, there wasn’t a single piece of clothing that would fit Wen Yuzhi.

In the end, they could only use the old thod.

Alvin took people to a nearby planet again. That rchant who received the order was terrified out of his mind, but their craftsmanship truly was excellent.

Maybe it was also under the threat of death. They basically pulled out all their best skills, and in only half a day, they produced clothes that fit.

Only, the look of the clothes...

Alvin admitted he had a tiny bit of private intent.

Not much.

Just a little.

Wen Yuzhi changed into the clothes in the bathroom and ca out. He tugged at the hem, his expression looking a little strange.

"This outfit... are you sure you didn’t bring the wrong one?"

Alvin...

Without realizing it, he’d already stopped adjusting his glasses. Beneath the lenses, those vertical pupils stared at the teenager in front of him, barely blinking.

Wen Yuzhi was considered fairly tall among Ogas, but the Saint Clan were almost all over two ters. And on top of that, he’d shrunk down a size. Compared like that, he looked even smaller.

Thin arms and thin legs. Black hair falling softly beside his face. Skin so fine and white it was whiter than milk. Beneath those thick, curled lashes, a pair of clean, watery eyes.

Wen Yuzhi at fifteen or sixteen was so pretty he looked like a doll.

And right now, that doll was wearing a fluffy cloak full of cat elents.

There was a hat behind him with two pointy cat ears. On the chest were two cat-paw-shaped buttons.

Paired with shorts and little leather boots, Wen Yuzhi’s current look was exactly like so little milk-kitten that had secretly turned into human form from who-knew-where.

A doll was cute.

A cat was cute.

And cute plus cute—

was double the cute.

If there were health bars above heads, then without a doubt, Alvin’s health bar was already close to empty.

He didn’t dare imagine how big a commotion it would cause if this human cub walked out wearing that.

And reality was exactly as Alvin expected.

The mont Wen Yuzhi followed behind him and stepped out, he imdiately heard low, quiet inhales coming from every direction.

Countless pairs of vertical pupils in all kinds of colors locked onto him.

These Saint Clan, almost in perfect unison, had stiff expressions—yet their gazes were scorching.

They couldn’t even bear to blink. They held their breath and stared at the human cub walking step by step behind Alvin.

Those pointy cat ears on his back bobbed with each step.

And then Wen Yuzhi, curious, looked around left and right...

N-no...

These Saint Clan suddenly felt their heads getting a little dizzy.

If they went on StarNet often, they would know there «N.o.v.e.l.i.g.h.t» was a phrase for this: “dizzy from cute.”

And what they looked like right now was pretty much exactly that.

In no ti at all, more and more Saint Clan gathered in the corridor—three layers inside, three layers outside. Almost every Saint Clan nearby who heard the news rushed over.
