That morning, Lin Tian stepped out of the sect’s main building. In the front courtyard, the disciples were practicing sword techniques. No one was cultivating.

She rembered very well that the requirent to use formation or array abilities was at least Foundation Establishnt.
Many sects applied that rule because they believed Qi Condensation cultivators weren’t strong enough to control arrays for a long ti.
Not only that, understanding the concept of arrays also wasn’t easy. There weren’t many array masters in the Qin Kingdom. Not many sects had array masters.
