Leaving the restaurant and the people inside in this horrible state, you would think soone would rise to stop him, or as soon as he was gone, they would go to report him to the guards. But that wouldn’t have been further from the truth.
Everyone in that place stayed seated as he passed them going towards the door; no one moved or made a sound
Most didn’t even look at him, so if the guards sohow find out, they could confidently say they didn’t see anything.
As they wouldn’t be lying, whenever he passed, they turned their heads the other way, and the sounds of his confrontation and movent were drowned out by their bustling conversations.
They could not be questioned as they held no information
And even when they were gone and the noble sat in his own waste and blood, unconscious
No one helped him, not even his guards.
Not long after the man and woman left, the guards rose to their feet, collected themselves, and ran out the door.
The only thing the people heard as they ran was that they should collect their families, as it wasn’t safe here anymore.
They had to run.
And that was the last they heard before they too disappeared
Maybe they should leave too. Who were they kidding? Of course, they should leave too!
And just like that, as if the thought was placed within each of their heads at the sa ti by so unknown entity, they all got up and ran for the door at the sa ti.
Now leaving the restaurant behind, Azreal and Olivia were walking down the open street of the town.
Watch as carriages pass, along with other people walking alongside, and as many street vendors line the sides, selling all sorts of goods.
Turning towards him, Olivia couldn’t help but laugh, seeing his expression that was filled with extre sadness and disappointnt
She knew why he was that way, but regardless, she decided to ask anyway just to make sure
"What’s wrong with you? You look like you just got the worst news imaginable."
He kept his head straight as he walked the road but he still answered her regardless
"You know very well what’s wrong, those things interrupted us while we were eating, and not only that but you also stole my food while I was dealing with it, how could you Liv, I thought I could trust you but apparently not"
"Haha, you know you could have always ordered more"
"I didn’t want to be in that place anymore, I just wanted to leave with you and my food but no I couldn’t the only thing I left with is a treater, a backstabber, and an empty stomach"
They were walking in the sa direction for about five minutes now but all of a sudden Azreal turned and started walking the opposite way
Following him Olivia couldn’t help but ask
"Don’t tell you’re really going back there, you can’t be serious or that hungry, didn’t you already eat the first one and so of the second"
"As tempting as it is to go back there and order what you stole from , it’s not what I’m doing"
"So what are you doing, or should I say where are you going then?"
"Am going to the adventures guild i think he called it, they already said that’s where we are most likely to find them didn’t they"
"Yeah i think you’re right, so how do you know which way to go?"
Hearing her question he stopped for a second before continuing walking
"I don’t"
"You don’t and yet you’re walking quite confidently don’t you think, how are you sure it’s even in this direction huh?"
"Because this is the direction that we ca from and when we arrive back at the gate we’ll just go in the direction that he rode off at"
"That’s actually not a bad idea"
"I know I am a genius, a genius you betrayed"
"Oh get over it will you"
"Never"
And like that thirty minutes of walking passed before they arrived back at the gate and started their journey to the adventures guild
But even after what felt like hours they still couldn’t find it they where lost
So lost in fact that Olivia had to ask one of the rchants at their stands for directions
Which let them know that they had passed it quite a while ago so ultimately they had to turn back now ard with the correct directions
And twenty minutes later they finally found it
They had to thank the two-fold they found it before the sun fully set
Walking into the giant building they ca face to face with a plathara of people
So at tables drinking others standing in line with a piece of paper in their hands talking with a woman behind the counter and others standing looking at a board filled with those very sa papers
Those papers looked to hold information that they couldn’t be bothered to read right now
Going up to the counter they were t with a beautiful young woman with short red hair and deep brown eyes, she wore a tight black, white, and green dress that hugged her body just right
It was as if the dress was made for her and just her, it hugged and showed all her curves, getting just a little bit tighter on the chest doing more to draw n’s attention, and if she turned it would be obvious that was what this uniform was for as it did the sa for her thick ass and thighs.
But Azreal and Olivia paid no attention to this but instead imdiately asked what they ca here for
"Excuse miss but do you know if a party called the Emberfangs is here?"
Finally noticing them the woman took a mont to examine them before pinning her entire line of sight on Azreal
Answering his question
"Yes there here honey, if I may ask what business do you have with them"
Completely ignoring the way she chose to call him he replied "They called us to et them here so if you would please call them for us, just tell them that Azreal and Olivia are here"
"No problem"
Turning to one of the other workers she told them to go and call the emberfangs from the guild master’s office
Before turning back towards the two of them
"They’ll be here in a minute but while you wait have you been registered with the guild before, you look strong"
"No we haven’t"
"Ok why not register now then while you wait for them"
Hearing this Olivia asked "Are they registered here"
Finally turning her gaze away from Azrael the woman finally faced Olivia as she replied
"Why of course, the Emberfang group is actually one of our strongest parties if not the strongest"
"So what do you say, do you want to register?"
"Sure"
"Ok excellent"
With that said she pulled out a weird artifact with a mana stone embedded within it saying
"Would you please put your hands on the artifact you first miss"
Saying nothing Olivia just listened placing her hand on it
Bust as soon as her hand ca into contact with it the system reacted
DING!!!
An artifact is trying to extract information from your body. What would you like to share?
She did not indicate that anything was different but she did alter her information in her head
With the scan done, the woman started reading off her information
Na: Olivia
Race: elf
Age:19
Core: Apprentice
"Wait core apprentice at nineteen years of age that can’t be right, miss there seems to have been a mistake would you please put your hands on the artifact again"
"What’s the problem?"
"Well, it’s saying that your core is at the apprentice stage but that can’t be right..."
"It’s right, I am at the apprentice stage so there’s no problem"
"Miss, you have to be joking reaching that stage is unheard of that your age the only ones that have achieved that are the Emberfangs themselves
"Does it look like I am joking"
Wanting to quickly get this over with Azreal stepped up and asked can I go now
"Yyyes sir, go right ahead"
Still in disbelief the woman gave the artifact to him
And just like before the system responded again
DING!!!
An artifact is trying to extract information from your body. What would you like to share?
And just like Olivia he gave no indication that he saw anything as the information popped up and she started reading it
Na: Azreal
Race: Human
Age:18
Core: apprentice
Seeing this the woman could barely believe her eyes, two new random people that ca from absolute nowhere were at the apprentice stage so early in their lives that they had to be geniuses
She could only dream of where they would one day end up, they even seed to know the emberfangs, they were too far from her scope, she had to get into their good graces
