Shen Tang had thought the incident with Xiao Cui Hua was finally over, and that recently the rebel army side had remained quiet, with nothing happening at all, making her subconsciously believe Necro had accepted their story.
She hadn’t expected that this would lower their guard instead, giving Necro the opportunity to strike.
Maybe, when Necro left that ti, he’d never fully believed their story; so he deliberately waited for a chance to test her.
And the worst of all—Shen Tang realized that Fu Teng was missing too.
