Every year the legion opens up for selection, and as long as you’re in the Purification Zone, you qualify to participate, screening for potential newcors. However, the conditions are extrely harsh; only the most gifted Beastn can be chosen.
This is also the ultimate goal for many young Beastn—to join the Divine Protection Army and beco part of the honor!
Zhai Chen and the other Beastn around them felt particularly excited when they saw the legion, imagining that they too might one day enter.

Shen Tang was montarily stunned but shook her head, "Don’t participate."
It was Qin Han’s turn to be taken aback, "... Why?"
He looked confusedly at the female before him; females naturally pursue strong and outstanding males, and those who can enter the legion are the strongest and best representatives.
There’s no female who doesn’t want a Beast Husband serving in the legion.
Shen Tang couldn’t articulate the real reason, so she casually glossed over it, "The legion’s missions are dangerous, right? I don’t want Captain Qin to take risks."

She rembered the Snake Clan man who called himself Uncle Xue Yinzhou, who seed to be the Great Elder of the Ghost Snake Clan.
Could the Ghost Snake Clan be one of them too?

Upon hearing the words "Ghost Snake Clan," Shen Tang’s spirit was lifted, her breath quickened, but she forced herself to suppress her body’s faint quivering, hiding her excitent.
