The City Lord spotted Shen Tang coming over, with a flicker of surprise in his eyes.

Shen Tang understood this was the maximum period granted by the City Lord, feeling sowhat annoyed but refraining from saying more, lest she further aggravate his aversion towards her. After agreeing, she departed.
She walked out of the City Lord Mansion.
On the road, she encountered various Beastn, all dressed simply, visible evidence that this border town was indeed not wealthy.
The Beastn had evidently heard of Shen Tang’s arrival in the city, and seeing her coming, everyone avoided her, creating a broad empty path centered around the two of them, reminiscent of Moses parting the sea.
The passersby on the road displayed varied expressions, whispering among themselves.
Shen Tang didn’t intentionally eavesdrop, knowing it was nothing pleasant.
"Bam~"
Out of nowhere, a small stone flew and hit her back.
Soon after, several more stones struck her calves and around her feet.
One stone even grazed her face, leaving a slight red mark.
Shen Tang shielded her face with her arm, turning around to see a few frail young Beastn with animal ears, clutching nurous stones in their hands, standing behind her unknowingly.
The young Beastman cubs, seeing Shen Tang looking over, retreated a few steps in fear but fiercely cursed,
"Vicious female, get out of Greenfield City!"
"Traitor who colluded with the rebel army, it’s all your fault! So many innocent Beastn died!"
"You’re a complete demon!"
"Heard that this female enjoys torturing Beastn, she secretly drinks human blood! Eats human flesh!"
"So terrifying, she is the Devil! Wherever she goes, disaster follows!"
"She will bring calamity upon us, drive her away! Drive her away!"
The Beastman children beca more and more fervent in their insults, picking up stones to throw at Shen Tang once again.
Xiao Jin, with a grim face, shielded her behind, quickly charging forward, seizing the lead tiger cub, delivering a harsh slap on his rear, and scolding coldly, "You little brat, are you itching for a beating?"
Beastn are naturally fearful of the strong.
This gang of Beast cubs shrieked in panic under the overwhelming presence emanating from Xiao Jin.
The leading tiger cub was particularly embarrassed, face flushed, yet defiantly, with a trembling voice, he roared, "We did nothing wrong! This female is a demon; she deserves death!"
"Why are you stopping us? You... let go of ! You’re an accomplice too... awoo!" The tiger cub fiercely bit into Xiao Jin’s muscular arm, as if biting into a steel plate, almost breaking his teeth, bursting into tears.
Xiao Jin’s face turned dark as night.
"Brat and still crying, wait till I call your parents over to teach you a lesson!"
After his fierce threat, the tiger cub went pale with fear, crying even louder, making Xiao Jin’s head buzz annoyingly.
Shen Tang walked over, saying with a complex expression, "Forget it, it’s not a big deal. Beast cubs are naturally mischievous, let them go."
Xiao Jin gave her a peculiar look, not expecting her to be so kind-hearted; in the past, if these beast cubs dared to insult her in public, she would have been so enraged she would have had these kids thrown in jail and given three hundred lashes and still not been satisfied.
She really was different from before.
Xiao Jin’s golden eyes flickered, yet he said nothing further, casually tossing the Beast cub aside.
As the boy landed, he transford into beast form, fleeing with his little companions, not forgetting to hurl a few more curses behind.
Shen Tang pressed her temples in exasperation. The original owner’s mories were fragnted and incomplete, but what the little cubs yelled brought so bits back to her.
