Falcon was filled with regret.
’He’d only wanted to earn those five million Star Coins. He thought it was just so B Level woman, but he never expected...’
He slamd a hand on the table, his expression contorted and grim.
He had actually been defeated by a little girl, and so badly injured at that. The physical wounds weren’t so bad; a trip to a Treatnt Pod would fix them. But his spiritual power had collapsed to the brink of shattering—
’There was no telling how long it would take to recover.’
And to top it all off, he’d only gotten half of the promised paynt.
He had been unconscious for two days after escaping with his life. When he woke up, he didn’t check the Star Network, so he had no idea his client had been completely rounded up and that people were now looking for him everywhere.
He went to the black market to find a doctor he knew for treatnt, just as he usually did. He was invited inside to wait, but what awaited him wasn’t a doctor—it was soldiers in military uniforms.
The mont Falcon sensed sothing was wrong and tried to leave, an electronic laser cannon was aid at his head. His fate was sealed.

News of Falcon’s capture in the black market spread quickly throughout the rcenary World.
Terry heard about it while relaxing at a juice shop after a mission. "It’s a sha. If he’d stayed on the straight and narrow, he could’ve really made a na for himself. But no, he just had to get involved with the dark web—"
The person behind the dark web might have so tricks up their sleeve, but those tricks were only for self-preservation. They couldn’t protect the assassins who worked there.
"So what kind of job did he take this ti?" The person Terry was asking was on pretty good terms with Falcon. "To actually bring the Sixth Army down on him?"
"I’m not entirely sure myself. I just know a few minor details."
She had heard Falcon bragging about it. "It was a contract from soone involved in that recent scandal where all those nobles were taken down, right? A 5 million Star Coin offer to, I think... destroy so girl’s Sea of Spirit Power?"
"He took a job like that?"
"I tried to talk him out of it, but he wouldn’t listen."
"He finishes his education just to beco a degenerate. If he wants to earn Star Coins, why not do it through honest work?"
"Probably thought the money ca too slowly," the female rcenary said, propping her head on her hand. "I rember him saying the target was so kind of livestrear. A food strear, I think. A total hobody."
"A food strear?" Terry, who was sipping his juice, perked up at that.
He loved posting about his favorite things on his social feed, so most of his friends knew he was obsessed with a certain food strear.
"There you go again," she teased. "I hear that food strear is pretty famous, you know."
"Famous? How famous?"
"I don’t know. Falcon just said... her last na is Jiang, and she’s with that one streaming company. Has over, what, four hundred million fans?"
Terry, in the middle of drinking his juice, suddenly choked. "What did you say?!"
"Her last na was what? What did you just say?"
"Huh? What’s wrong?"
"Tell , when did Falcon make his move?"
"I forget. A couple of days ago, I think."
’A couple of days ago?’
...
He shot to his feet, weapon in hand, looking furious.
The female rcenary asked him what was wrong. Terry replied, "I feel like killing soone right now."
"That bastard Falcon! He’ll take any damn contract!"
"???"
"This is unacceptable! Soone took a hit on my goddess, on my turf!!!"
That very night, Terry used his rcenary ID to post a notice on the dark web.
The notice read:
Any person who accepts a contract on the dark web targeting the Federation food livestrear, Jiang Jiujiu, will be blacklisted by all rcenaries of the Wolf Gene Race Circle.
This order is permanent, effective for a minimum of one hundred years.
Below it, the nas of a whole row of heavy hitters were stamped with authority.
