Now reading: Chapter 303: A Master of Sweet Talk from Her Food Livestream Broke the Galaxy, a Sci-fi novel by Xiang Weixun.

From a purely live streaming perspective, there was no doubt her full-body streams had a much better effect than her partial streams.

But...

For a split second, he wavered, on the verge of giving a different answer. Mo Si told himself it was understandable.

After all, she was still young and about to attend Federation University. Live streaming platforms like this had huge traffic, and a lot of people were watching.

Jiang Qiuqiu was clearly one of the wealthier strears on the platform. Being exposed under the public eye would undoubtedly be uncomfortable.

But she was already exposed. Her information was everywhere, so trying to hide now was pointless.

After a mont of deliberation, Mo Si looked up. "The full-body stream."

He said, "You love to cook. A full-body shot would make the stream more dynamic and engaging."

"You’re right!"

"Alright, let’s stop talking about the stream." She went to the kitchen and brought back a plate of food for herself. "It’s already eight and we haven’t eaten. Let’s have dinner first!"

This was destined to be no ordinary dinner.

This was her fan, right here in her ho. Jiang Qiuqiu naturally wasn’t going to miss this chance for a close interaction, and she kept asking him what he thought of the tofu’s texture. Mo Si’s vocabulary wasn’t particularly rich; he mostly cycled through "delicious," "very delicious," and "perfect." Even so, he managed to make Jiang Qiuqiu very happy.

He saw Jiang Qiuqiu’s eyes filled with starlight, as if sprinkled with the fine dust of the galaxy.

He asked Jiang Qiuqiu again if she was particularly fond of good food.

Jiang Qiuqiu humd and nodded. "Yes, I love cooking. It makes happy, and it makes even happier when people enjoy what I make."

After she finished speaking, Mo Si took a sip of soup and suddenly added, "Then you must be happy every day."

For a mont, Jiang Qiuqiu didn’t get it.

Then she saw the man say, his tone calm yet utterly sincere, "Because so many people love the food you make."

"You’re the best cook I’ve ever t."

The more understated and sincere he was, the more touching his words beca.

The corners of Jiang Qiuqiu’s mouth curved up. "Sister Chengyu always says you’re bad with words, but I think you’re actually quite well-spoken most of the ti."

"She said I’m bad with words?" Mo Si’s expression stiffened. His first thought was, ’That disobedient sister of mine is spreading rumors everywhere.’

But when he heard her next words, another thought imdiately followed—

’Just most of the ti.’

’So, there have been tis when I wasn’t... ’

’Wait, I rember now.’ The mory ca rushing back, and with it, the image of Mo Chengyu’s punchable face.

"I’m sorry."

"Hmm? Why the sudden apology?" Jiang Qiuqiu asked, confused.

Mo Si looked at her. "Sotis I’ve spoken thoughtlessly and hurt your feelings."

"That was so long ago, I’ve already forgotten all about it! Let’s not talk about that!" It was all water under the bridge. Jiang Qiuqiu pointed at the food. "Let’s eat!"

"Okay."

The two of them ate together, and the al progressed more slowly than usual.

After dinner, Mo Si insisted on helping Jiang Qiuqiu with the dishes, but there was no way she would let him do all the work alone.

And so, in the small kitchen, the two of them stood at their own sinks, one washing and the other drying, completely forgetting about the robot assistant-slash-butler standing off to the side.

At nine o’clock, the winter sky was starless, illuminated only by the occasional lights from passing hovercars and cha.

Jiang Qiuqiu walked Mo Si to the door. Just as they reached it, Mo Si held up a hand to stop her. "It’s cold outside, you should head back. Don’t catch a chill."

A cool wind whistled by. Since she wasn’t wearing her polar fleece jacket, she really shouldn’t go outside.

She waved. "You should head back, then."

「That night.」

Jiang Qiuqiu sent Mo Si a ssage. It had no greeting and no sign-off. It wasn’t a "how are you," and it seed to have no particular aning, yet at the sa ti, it felt full of suggestive significance.

—You know... you’re the first person besides to ever eat this dish. (A picture was attached.)
