When Mo Si arrived at the rescue center, he saw Jiang Qiuqiu sitting with a young man.
He didn’t know what they were talking about, but he saw a pensive look appear on Jiang Qiuqiu’s face, which then broke into a smile.
He paused, not approaching them right away.
But ever since she started practicing her spiritual power, Jiang Qiuqiu had beco very sensitive to being watched. Sensing a gaze on her, she quickly looked up and scanned the area.
Her eyes imdiately landed on the tall, slender man.

"I ca to see when you’re heading back," Mo Si said, slowly walking to her side.
The voice sounded vaguely familiar. Little Qing followed the gaze of the girl beside him and looked up. He hadn’t noticed before, but the sight of the man left him stunned.
His gaze was fixed intently on Mo Si—
All he could think was, ’He looks just like him!’
As Mo Si drew near, Jiang Qiuqiu introduced him to Little Qing. "This is my friend, Black Hole." The implication was clear: this was the person who had gotten the Military Departnt to take charge of things.
Snapping out of his daze, Little Qing scrambled to his feet to greet him and offer his thanks. The rescue center’s situation was dire, so for soone to get the Military Departnt to take over this ss, Black Hole was practically the center’s savior.
Perhaps because he was so flustered, his face turned red after just a few words of thanks.
Mo Si observed him. ’He is indeed young,’ he thought, ’but he’s composed and sensible. When I sent my people over the other day, he didn’t lose his cool. His aptitude isn’t bad either. A promising kid. A pity...’
His thoughts shifted. Thinking of the boy’s age and what he’d been through, his voice was calm, and if one listened closely, carried a hint of warmth. "There’s no need for thanks. It’s the Military Departnt’s duty to provide support here."
"You’ve done a great job as the acting leader here."
"Thank you!" Little Qing was thrilled by the praise.
With a third person now part of the conversation, their private chat couldn’t continue. Mo Si switched to business. "Are you having lunch here?"
"When do you plan to start your training this afternoon?"
Jiang Qiuqiu wasn’t planning on having lunch here. As for training, the sooner after lunch, the better. She could have left right then, but she had already promised Little Qing that she would go see Brother Leopard.
He had told her that Brother Leopard’s condition was quite stable, and that he was very eager to see her.
She explained this to Mo Si. "I want to go see him before I leave. Are you going to wait here for , or co with?"
"I’ll co with you."
So, with Little Qing leading the way, the three of them headed deeper into the hallway.
Mo Si walked at a slower pace, falling slightly behind the other two. Soon, they arrived at the small, cramped room.
"I won’t go in. Otherwise, Brother Leopard will start lecturing again the mont he sees ," Little Qing said. "Miss Jiang... uh, Qiuqiu, you can go on in. I’ll wait for you out here."
"Alright."
She gave a wave, and Little Qing jogged away. Just before leaving, he couldn’t help but glance back at Mo Si one last ti.

Brother Leopard’s hearing was still quite sharp. The mont the door opened, his eyes fluttered open.
He had heard Little Qing’s words from outside, and he slowly got to his feet inside the cage. Then, he saw her—the young woman who had brought hope to the entire rescue center.
"Miss Jiang, good morning."
"Good morning to you, too."
"Thank you for coming to see again." His spiritual power seed a little stronger than last ti, and he sounded more energetic as well.
"I know I shouldn’t trouble you, Miss Jiang..."
