When all was said and done, ii was just an ordinary person.
With a gun pointed at her, she instinctively backed away. But the thought of Qian Xingxing, from whom she’d heard nothing, made her stay. She asked, "I’m here to deliver food to Miss Dais. Could you please let in?"

ii said nothing.

With no other choice, she moved to a spot farther away. Before long, a few scattered flakes began to fall, soon turning into a heavy snowfall that blanketed the ground in a layer of pristine white.
Now, ii was glad she had worn a conspicuous, maroon-colored outfit.
She didn’t know what Miss Dais was doing, but she hoped that, just once, she might step outside.
