Before they entered the house, Mrs. Ai’er told Jiang Qiuqiu a bit about the person she was about to et.

"He’s like Old Yuan—a bit high-spirited, but a very interesting person."

"You can call him Grandpa Fang, or Uncle Fang."

’Grandpa and Uncle? Why was there an "or" connecting two titles with such a big age difference?’

Mrs. Ai’er caught Jiang Qiuqiu’s confused glance and chuckled. "He’s one of those people who refuses to admit he’s old."

After she spoke, they arrived at a small house with its own private yard.

This place was much smaller than the Yuan Family’s ho. There were no flowerbeds at the entrance, and the building itself was only two stories high. The style wasn’t extravagant—one could only call it plain. It was even a little smaller than the Starry Sky Wander, where she lived.

Mrs. Ai’er must have been a frequent visitor. The yard was empty, and she walked with practiced ease to a wall clock hanging on the right-hand wall. She tapped it a few tis with a small hamr, and only then did soone erge from the house.

The mont she saw him, Jiang Qiuqiu knew why Mrs. Ai’er said she could call him either Grandpa Fang or Uncle Fang.

Because the man who walked out had two contradictory features.

His features were youthful, and the fine wrinkles on his face made him look to be only in his forties. But the salt-and-pepper hair at his temples imdiately made him appear older at first glance.

He went from a rather dashing middle-aged man to a very young-looking grandfather...

That was precisely it.

"Sister Ai’er, you’re here?" Fang Ping said with a smile, his disposition seeming quite sunny.

Looking at him, he didn’t at all resemble a general who had retired from the battlefield.

"If I’d taken any longer, you would have started hounding . Don’t you just love rushing people?"

"For you, Sister, I’m always willing to wait." After the pleasantries, he craned his neck to look around. "Weren’t you supposed to bring a very special Healer to give that ’happiness healing’ today? Are they not here?"

With that, he glanced at Jiang Jiujiu. "Is this your new apprentice, Sister? Which family is this young lady from? She has such a kind face."

"You’re mistaken."

Mrs. Ai’er shook her head. "She’s not here as an apprentice. She *is* the very special Spirit Healing Master I told you about."

"..."

Fang Ping was taken aback for a mont, then he looked up and scrutinized Jiang Qiuqiu.

Her hair was as soft as a cloud and naturally black. Her face was genuinely young—unlined and brimming with collagen. This wasn’t soone who was just well-preserved; she was truly young.

So—

"Sister Ai’er, I know it’s my fault I don’t drink my Nutrient Liquid, but you don’t have to trick , do you?"

"I’m not tricking you. We’ve already settled on the paynt, so why would I?" Mrs. Ai’er asked him, "Are the ingredients I asked you to get ready?"

Fang Ping nodded.

"Qiuqiu, let Grandpa Fang see your real skills."

"...What do you an, Grandpa Fang!" Fang Ping protested. "I’m only 108 this year, with just one foot in the grave. You should call Uncle Fang."

Jiang Qiuqiu couldn’t help but smile when she heard this.

"Uncle Fang, where is your kitchen? Could you take there?"

"!"

"Fine, I’ll take you there." The young lady was so tactful; he decided that even if the treatnt went poorly, he wouldn’t complain.

It’s always easier the second ti around. Cooking for soone in their own ho was simple enough, and since the nu was identical to the last one, it was even more of a breeze.

Jiang Qiuqiu got right to work.

She was a delight to watch in the kitchen. A single glance was enough to tell he was looking at a seasoned pro.

As Fang Ping watched this scene, countless possibilities flashed through his mind. Finally, he turned to Mrs. Ai’er, looking as if he wanted to say sothing but was holding himself back.
