"Oh, stop. You’re making blush, Sister Chengyu." Jiang Qiuqiu had just taken off her helt, her face flushed and glistening with sweat from the intense workout.
Mo Si, however, was completely serious. "She’s not just praising you."
"She’s telling the truth," Mo Si added. "Your progress has surpassed my imagination."
Her improvent was even greater than he’d anticipated.
Such a significant improvent in spiritual power and endurance made it obvious she hadn’t slacked off at all.
So, Mo Si asked, "Qiuqiu, what kind of training have you been doing lately, and how often?"
"The training I’ve been doing... mostly Healing Spiritual Power exercises and Healing Spiritual Power ditation. I also find ti to work on the intensity of my spiritual power. I do all of that every day."
"Then, rember how you told Mrs. Ai’er has a Gravity Room? I go there about once every two days for around three hours at a ti, at roughly three tis normal gravity."
"I haven’t really done anything else, other than..." Mrs. Ai’er had once advised her to try ditating with her Healing Spiritual Power while she cooked, to get a feel for it.
Jiang Qiuqiu found it a bit awkward at first, but after a while, it beca second nature.
That was probably a form of training as well. After all, her spiritual power ditations had beco much smoother since she started.
She spoke of all this in a casual tone, completely unaware of what such a grueling training regin truly ant.
If that was the case, it was no wonder her spiritual power had risen so quickly. Exceptional talent, combined with maximum effort, was the recipe for a true genius.
Jiang Qiuqiu was starting to feel sleepy after her training and wanted to shower and rest, so Mo Si and the others took their leave.
After her shower, Jiang Qiuqiu put on the Spiritual Repair Helt and drifted off to sleep.
Elsewhere, Mo Si and Mo Chengyu were still discussing the matter.
"She’s incredible," Mo Chengyu said with a sigh. "I never imagined Qiuqiu could accomplish this much."
"She hasn’t missed a single day."
"I know." ’Qiuqiu has really grown so much while I’ve been away,’ Mo Si thought.
’She learned about Healing Crystal Stones, got new equipnt, mastered spiritual power ditation, goes to the Gravity Room by herself, can handle three tis the pressure, and trains constantly.’
’She can beco strong all on her own.’
’She doesn’t need at all.’
The realization left Mo Si feeling a montary sense of loss. After returning to the small castle, he went up to the top floor by himself.
Mo Chengyu watched him go, feeling that sothing was a little off with her brother’s mood.
Mo Si was, in fact, troubled.
He wasn’t needed anymore. Given ti, soone like Qiuqiu would eventually beco one of the most powerful figures of her generation.
He should have been happy for her, but... if that happened, their interactions would inevitably beco less frequent.
He would have no more reason to be involved in Qiuqiu’s life.
The lives that had been weaving together now seed to be suddenly unraveling.
Even if she needed a teacher in the future, it would be a professor from Federation University’s Spirit Healing Departnt. Not him, a lone combatant from a completely different field of spiritual power.
This sowhat selfish feeling ca as quickly as it went.
Yet, in its wake, it left a question that prompted deep thought.
Which was—
’Wait... why do I want her to need so badly?’
’Why am I so desperate for our lives to be intertwined?’
This question was like a piece of candy, the kind that crumbles the mont you unwrap it.
You could see from the outside that it was, clearly, a piece of candy.
But you also knew that if you opened it, the candy would shatter. So you didn’t dare to open it, didn’t dare to confirm—
whether what lay beneath the iridescent wrapper was truly a sweet piece of candy after all.
