The broth is the soul of Crab Roe Lion’s Head atballs.
"For this, we’re using the rib section of a Gugu Beast. See, this right here. And so Gugu Beast skin."
Simring the soup with pork skin is what gives the dish its soul.
Simr it at a high temperature and skim off the scum. The aty aroma of the ribs will quickly infuse the broth. At this point, add the pre-prepared Gugu Beast skin. Once the broth cos to a boil again, it’s ti to add the Lion’s Head atballs.
Because there were so many, Jiang Qiuqiu used a very large pot.
After putting all the atballs in, Jiang Qiuqiu took out a large Napa cabbage, tore off its leaves, and laid them over the atballs.
At this point, soone in the audience was confused.
[Why do you add Gugu Beast skin and Napa cabbage to the soup?]
The comnt appeared in red text. Out of curiosity, so viewers clicked on the user’s profile and discovered they were also a strear in the Food section.
It was Langlibaitiao.
So fans started spamming his ID in the bullet comnts.
Jiang Qiuqiu saw the comnts and quickly replied, "Gugu Beast skin contains a lot of collagen. Simring it for a long ti releases that collagen, which gives the broth a thick, pleasant mouthfeel."
"As for covering them with cabbage, the cooking process generates a lot of steam. The cabbage leaves trap that steam, which helps keep the atballs tender."
"So, at this point, our Crab Roe Lion’s Head is mostly done. Now we just need ti and temperature to let it finish cooking. This stage will take about two hours."
[We have to wait two hours?!]
[AWOOOO!]
"Of course we won’t just be sitting around waiting! While we wait, I’ll teach you all how to make a few relatively simple dishes."
"You can take notes and try learning them yourselves. For the next month or so, I’ll be making so easy recipes, so fans who are interested can save them for later~"
[There’s no such thing as an ’easy’ recipe!]
[I’ll just get mine from Juju’s shop!]
[My fingers are fast, so I’m not worried. As long as the stream and the Gourt Showcase are up, I’m set. Hehe!]
’Hmm...’
’Well... if you want to eat delicious food every day, you really should learn to cook it yourself.’
’After all, I’m going to be starting school, and a student’s schedule isn’t exactly free.’
"It’s okay! The VODs will stay up on my main page, so you can watch them anyti you want to learn."
"Now, let’s see what we’ll be making to go along with the Lion’s Head."
The cara panned over, and the audience saw a few familiar items.
The garlic scapes that appeared in the Gourt Showcase yesterday, so lotus root slices, so small yellow flowers, and a bowl of rice.
"I’m going to make Stir-fried Pork with Garlic Scapes, and also a Sweet Osmanthus Lotus Root with Sticky Rice. Fans who like mildly sweet and chewy food shouldn’t miss the second one. It’s very simple to make and absolutely delicious."
Since this was a tutorial, Jiang Qiuqiu made sure to ntion where she bought her ingredients.
"Almost all the ingredients were purchased from Taotao Fresh. The osmanthus flowers were bought from the official website of the Agronomy Research Institute; they’re a new product."
With that said, she picked up a kitchen knife. She peeled the lotus root on her table, cut off the top, rinsed it, and then began stuffing sticky rice into its holes. The next steps were pretty standard.
She used a tool to reattach the top of the lotus root. "You have to secure it tightly," she said, "or the sticky rice will spill out everywhere."
Once it was secured, she put it straight into the pot to stew!
This dish didn’t need to cook for very long, so Jiang Qiuqiu chatted with her audience in the comnts for a while. Soone brought up the ti she cooked with several other strears.
Jiang Qiuqiu addressed it directly: "It was just a skill exchange. Exchanging ideas helps you improve."
[An exchange...]
[But Juju’s food is already the best! You’d be number one even without exchanging ideas with anyone!]
[Yeah, yeah, why exchange ideas with other people?]
"Well, it’s because I hope that one day, everyone will be able to make delicious als for themselves."
"Besides, I’m not the best. There’s always soone better out there; we just might not know who they are yet."
