"Mmm..."
"And, it’s not that I’m afraid you’ll be lured away by soone else, I’m just—"
’He was just a little scared. Even an Admiral can be new to relationships, after all.’
Even though he was thirty-nine, he’d spent his life on the battlefield. When it ca to interactions between n and won, he was a complete blank slate.
Mo Si knew he was outstanding among his peers, but he lacked confidence when it ca to romance. So, he’d asked his younger sister for advice, hoping she could suggest an effective way to let everyone know Qiuqiu had a boyfriend—like giving her a gift.
Mo Chengyu hadn’t offered any feasible suggestions. Instead, she’d just mocked Mo Si, "Hehe, look at you now, big brother. You’re panicking, aren’t you!"
Her punchable tone made Mo Si make a ntal note. ’Once Qiuqiu is off to school,’ he thought, ’I’m definitely going ho to teach Chengyu a lesson.’
He never expected her to turn right around and tell Qiuqiu everything.
And Qiuqiu even...
’Well, her rits and derits canceled each other out. Maybe having a loudspeaker for a mouth isn’t such a bad thing after all.’
"Why do you keep staring at ? ’Just’ what? Why are you only speaking in half-sentences today?" Jiang Qiuqiu tilted her head to look at him. "Don’t tell it’s because I’m going to school, so you’re trying to leave in suspense to keep curious?"
"No." Mo Si lowered his gaze. "I’m just afraid that at school, you’ll see more young couples." More people her own age.
"You’ll see more vibrant young people, see their passionate romances, and think that we aren’t passionate enough."
’Not passionate enough?’
Jiang Qiuqiu blinked at Mo Si.
Mo Si looked back at her.
Suddenly, Jiang Qiuqiu gave Mo Si a shove, but the man was immovable. She didn’t manage to push him over, and because she’d used so much force, she ended up staggering backward herself.
She reeled back in surprise, but Mo Si moved in a flash. He grabbed one of Qiuqiu’s hands and wrapped his other arm around her waist, stopping the fall.
The scene she had imagined—shoving Mo Si onto the sofa, leaning over him, grabbing his chin, biting his lip, and then (ahem) kissing him until he was beet red—failed to materialize.
And to top it off, he started his daily nagging: "You have to be careful. Even with an enhanced body, falling backward could easily cause you to hit your head, leading to all sorts of discomfort."
"..."
’Fine,’ she thought. ’No more shoving, then.’
She walked right up to him instead.
Standing, Jiang Qiuqiu was a head taller than the seated Mo Si. The sensation of being enveloped in his girlfriend’s shadow was slightly strange. Mo Si moved to stand up, but Qiuqiu held him down by his shoulders.
"Look up!"
He instinctively raised his head, and Jiang Qiuqiu leaned down and captured his lips, diving straight in. The kiss started with Jiang Qiuqiu in the lead, but soon, all initiative was in Mo Si’s hands.
He couldn’t help but stand, shifting from a passive stance to actively pulling her in. A long ti passed, so long that the sound of running water trickled from the kitchen, before Mo Si finally released her.
By then, Jiang Qiuqiu’s face was not only red, but hot to the touch.
Jiang Qiuqiu took a deep breath and sat down. "Is that not passionate enough for you?"
"I won’t be swayed by what other people’s relationships look like." There was a hint of disappointnt in Jiang Qiuqiu’s voice. "I thought you knew that I only date people I like."
Which, translated, just ant: ’I only like you.’
Nothing could have made him feel more secure.
Mo Si’s heart settled. After lunch, Jiang Qiuqiu began to pack her luggage.
She was going to school tomorrow!
