This was an assembly hall larger than any 21st-century stadium.
Whether you looked left or right, all you could see were people.
Everyone sat row by row. In the center of the hall, a silver platform hung in the air like an isolated island. Soon, a voice ca over the broadcast, and the entire venue fell silent.
With all eyes fixed upon it, a figure suddenly materialized on the silver island.
It was as if he’d appeared out of thin air. In the blink of an eye, his image was broadcast simultaneously onto the venue’s massive screens.
"Hello, students."
"Another year has co and gone. It feels like just the blink of an eye, and here I am, eting with you all again. That’s right, I’m the one and only legendary Principal Douglas. I really love having these assemblies with young students. The mont I stand up here, I can feel the vibrant air of youth wash over ."

I’m sure that in the instant you received your acceptance letters, you all felt a great sense of pride." The man on the stage gave a light, casual smile. "After all, our school is hailed as one of the most prestigious academies in the entire Federation."
"It’s no exaggeration to say that all of you who made it here are heaven’s chosen, one in ten thousand."
He wasn’t stingy with his praise. Sitting amongst the crowd, Jiang Qiuqiu listened to the principal’s voice and could sense that he must be a powerful individual.
The spiritual power surging from his voice washed over the crowd, carrying a rather strong pressure that left every student in the assembly hall sowhat breathless.
Soon, the praise portion of his speech concluded. "And for that very reason, you cannot afford to slack off now that you’re here."
"Look at the person next to you. Which one of them isn’t one of heaven’s chosen? Our school isn’t famous because of the institution itself; it’s famous because of the incredible achievents of your upperclassn. They are the ones who built its current renown."
"Our school employs a very strict credit-based system. If you fail to earn enough credits by the end of your four years, then no matter who you are—you will not be able to officially graduate."
"Don’t think I’m joking. As new students, you can ask around. I may not have been at this school for very long, but I’ve already made quite a few enemies." He laughed. "I imagine the students who failed to graduate because of probably curse my na in their sleep every night."
"But cursing is pointless. As long as I’m in charge, absolutely no one will be able to muddle through and graduate. And even if soone did—"
"As long as my na is on your diploma as the principal, I will personally see to it that said diploma is rendered void."
He delivered the sentence word by word. The entire hall was utterly silent.
Having achieved the desired effect, the man with the dark complexion and long, half-gathered hair took off his hat. He gave it a little wave. "So, allow to offer you all a piece of advice."
"If you want to continue being one of heaven’s chosen, then this school is rely the starting line."
With that, he vanished from the silver platform. Principal Douglas was gone in a flash. Only after he had disappeared did waves of applause finally ripple through the hall.

The new student orientation had a sharp opening, but the speakers who followed were much more conventional. They introduced the school, the different majors, and the various ntors and professors for each departnt.
They also covered the grade point system, how to earn credits, and the countless other essential skills all newly enrolled university students must master.
It was tedious, but useful. Moreover, the instructors giving the presentations didn’t repeat themselves, speaking fluently and quickly.
As a result, the entire assembly was over by about eleven o’clock.
