Now reading: Chapter 94: A New Special Menu from Her Food Livestream Broke the Galaxy, a Sci-fi novel by Xiang Weixun.

An increase in viewers for tomorrow’s livestream was a given.

Jiang Qiuqiu had originally planned to make braised pork with preserved mustard greens served with rice, but that was clearly off the table now.

In many of the posts she’d seen today, her fans had expressed their concerns. They had successfully invited people to watch the stream, but what would happen when it ca ti to scramble for the food? If neither person managed to get a portion, wouldn’t they just be left staring at each other in disappointnt?

Jiang Qiuqiu realized they had a point. So, she decided to host a stream where everyone could get a share of the food.

After she shared her idea with ii, ii was stunned.

"What made you suddenly decide to do a stream like this?"

"It wasn’t really a sudden decision. I saw those posts and felt it would be a aningful thing to do." While Jiang Qiuqiu had initially started food streaming just to make a living in the Federation, her inco had since grown steadily, and the earnings from each broadcast were now astonishing.

The money she had accumulated was now an astronomical sum, and her life here had gradually beco stable and secure.

Her inco now far surpassed what she had in her past life. Having so much money slowly dampened her desire for more. All Jiang Qiuqiu wanted now was to focus on her career, to experience this new life that was completely different from her last, and to do sothing aningful.

"Your idea is a good one, but your viewership is constantly growing. Your follower count might even break 160 million, which ans you’ll have to prepare close to a hundred portions at minimum." The number of duplicates the company’s back-end system could create had been fixed from the very beginning.

This quota was controlled by the company’s core computer, and changing this limit was next to impossible.

"Preparing that many dishes will work you to death. Qiuqiu, I know you’re still young and can be a bit idealistic, wanting everyone to get a spot and for everything to be perfect. But you need to consider whether you can actually handle it. You have to put yourself—" first.

"I have considered it. I can do it."

The other end of the line suddenly went quiet.

A mont later, a shocked male voice spoke up. "One hundred portions? She can do it? What is she, a money-printing machine? She can cook faster than a machine can print money?"

So muffled sounds ca from the other end. After a few seconds, the noise cleared, and ii spoke again, "Qiuqiu, don’t push yourself—"

"I’m not. I really can do it. I just need to change the nu, put the Gugu Beast special on hold, and slot in a different dish."

Her featured special was still on the hopage, so she needed to check with her editor to see if changing the the would cause any problems.

"I was worried it might affect the hopage feature, so I wanted to give you a heads-up. If it’s a problem, you can just take the feature down."

"It won’t be a problem. We’ll just change the title."

After a few more words to confirm the new feature process, Jiang Qiuqiu ended the call.

She then turned and went to her personal forum to post a reply about the matter.

She logged into her verified account, found an active complaint thread, and replied to a post that asked what to do if soone watched the stream with their parents and neither of them could snag a dish.

Her reply carried imnse weight, sending out powerful shockwaves.

——Jiang Jiujiu: That probably won’t be an issue tomorrow. I’ve prepared a special event for everyone, so you should all be able to get a spot! I hope you can all enjoy a nice al while chatting with your parents tomorrow.

Her post set off a tidal wave of reactions.

Hordes of fans flooded in, expressing their disbelief and calling the announcent insane.

What was she talking about? A special event? Everyone should be able to get a spot? What kind of insane claim was that! Jiang Qiuqiu’s channel had 136 million followers!

That was 136 million people! What kind of special event could possibly accommodate that?!
