Eldrin circled slowly in the air, his eyes never leaving Garion.
He flew once around him, then again, lowering his head slightly as if trying to look through him rather than at him.
Garion stood still, arms relaxed, not bothered in the slightest.
"I already told you," Garion said. "I’m not a beast."
Eldrin landed lightly and folded his wings. "Are you truly sure?"
Garion glanced at him. "Very."
Eldrin stepped closer. "Then explain this."
He raised a claw slightly, stopping just short of touching Garion’s chest.
"Your body. From what I sense, its structure is extrely close to that of a beast."
Garion raised an eyebrow. "Body?"
He tilted his head. "You an my [Unique Physique]?"
"Yes," Eldrin answered imdiately. "That is exactly it."
Garion nodded slowly. "Alright. Go on."
Eldrin took a breath. "Beasts are born strong. Mana flows through our bodies naturally, without effort."
"We do not need complex cultivation thods. We grow stronger simply by living long enough."
Arden listened closely. Dion leaned forward slightly.
"But your body," Eldrin continued, "feels the sa."
"Mana moves through it passively. You are not forcing it. You are not guiding it through fixed channels."
He frowned. "In fact, your body is even more efficient than that of ordinary beasts."
Garion’s lips curved upward. "So my body is better than a beast’s?"
Eldrin hesitated, then nodded. "Yes."
Garion chuckled softly. "That’s interesting."
Eldrin’s gaze sharpened. "If you are not a beast, then tell . How did you turn your body into sothing like this?"
Garion answered without hesitation. "Training."
Eldrin blinked. "Training... your body?"
Garion nodded. "Exactly."
Eldrin frowned deeply. "Explain."
Garion walked a few steps forward, then turned back, clearly settling into teacher mode.
"You know how normal human cultivators work, right?"
Eldrin nodded.
"They absorb mana. Awaken ridians. Form a mana pool. Condense a mana core. Build a domain."
"Correct," Garion said. "And that’s where the problem is."
Arden blinked. "Problem?"
Garion waved a hand. "Too complicated. Too wasteful."
Eldrin stared. "Wasteful?"
"Yes," Garion replied calmly. "Humans already have a perfectly good system in their bodies."
He tapped his arm. "Blood vessels. Cells. Muscles. Bones. Organs."
Dion’s eyes widened slightly. "Oh. That again."
Garion continued, "Traditional cultivation builds special channels just to move mana."
"But why create sothing new when the body already has a delivery system everywhere?"
Eldrin slowly straightened. "So you did not create a mana pool."
"No," Garion said. "I made every cell capable of absorbing mana."
Eldrin froze.
"You don’t guide mana through one place," Garion went on. "You let the whole body absorb it naturally."
Eldrin stared at him, eyes widening. "...To think you managed to do this."
He took a slow breath. "At this point... you are no longer humans in the normal sense."
Dion stiffened. Arden frowned.
Eldrin continued carefully, "You are closer to beasts in human form."
Garion scratched his chin, then shrugged. "You could say that."
He suddenly laughed, loud and carefree. "Or let’s just say we’re gods evolved from humans."
The sound echoed through the clearing.
Eldrin stared.
Arden sighed and rubbed his forehead. "Don’t mind him. He always talks like this."
Garion glanced at him. "Hey."
He looked back at Eldrin, his expression turning sharper. "So. Why are you here?"
Eldrin nodded once. "Because I acknowledge your strength."
Garion raised an eyebrow. "And?"
"And I need your help."
Garion frowned slightly. "Help? With what?"
Before Eldrin could answer, Arden stepped forward. "Master, let explain the situation."
Garion held up a hand. "Short version."
Arden nodded. "There is sothing like a treasure realm."
Garion’s eyes lit up. "Treasure realm? Wow. It’s been a long ti since I heard that term."
Arden continued, "But this one is not normal."
He pointed toward the distant forest. "You can’t enter it. And demonic mana keeps leaking out."
Garion’s smile faded. "I see."
He nodded slowly. "So the demonic mana corrupts beasts and turns them into demonic beasts."
Eldrin blinked. "You understood that imdiately."
Garion shrugged. "Sa logic. Bad environnt creates bad adaptations."
Arden nodded. "That dragon here," he said, gesturing to Eldrin, "and the others sealed that place a long ti ago."
"But recently," Arden continued, "the seal has beco unstable. They’re worried it might break completely."
Garion crossed his arms. "And you want help stabilizing it."
"Yes," Eldrin said firmly. "Or destroying it, if necessary."
Garion looked thoughtful for a mont.
"Hm... demonic treasure realm," he muttered. "Unstable seal. Corrupted ecosystem."
He smiled again, this ti with interest. "Yeah. That is really interesting."
Arden let out a small breath of relief. "Then..."
Garion pointed at him. "Call the others."
Arden blinked. "The others?"
Garion nodded. "If we’re going to deal with sothing that sses up an entire island, this isn’t a one-man problem."
Arden nodded imdiately. "Got it."
He turned and was already preparing to move, but Eldrin spoke again before anyone could leave.
Eldrin’s gaze stayed on Garion.
"Human," Eldrin said slowly, "you really are different from every human I have ever t."
Garion paused and looked back. "Different how?"
Eldrin tilted his head slightly. "I do not know why. But everything about you feels... out of place."
Dion frowned. "Out of place?"
"Yes," Eldrin continued. "Your thinking. Your thods. Even the way you treat power."
He stepped closer. "It feels as if you are not from this world."
Garion froze.
"...Huh?"
Arden turned around sharply. "Wait. What did you just say?"
Garion stared at Eldrin. "How do you know that?"
Eldrin’s eyes widened slightly. "So it is true."
Garion clicked his tongue softly.
Dion looked between them, stunned. "Master...?"
Eldrin exhaled slowly. "I see. No wonder."
"No wonder you can do all of this," Eldrin said. "You are an otherworlder."
Garion raised an eyebrow. "You know that term?"
Eldrin nodded. "Yes."
He looked thoughtful. "I have only encountered one before. A very long ti ago."
Garion crossed his arms. "And?"
"That one also changed the world around them," Eldrin replied. "Not with raw strength, but with ideas."
Arden swallowed. "Just like Master."
Garion scratched his head. "I didn’t expect ancient beasts to be this sharp."
Eldrin gave a small smile. "We live long. We notice patterns."
Garion sighed, looking back at Eldrin.
