He thought for a mont and decided to flip to the last part of the "Book of Heroes", which listed the nas of dead criminals, i.e., the occupants of the bodies in the morgue.
After searching for a while, his gaze suddenly stopped when he saw a na on a corpse —
Tidal Hunter. Leviathan
The na of this criminal was the sa as that of the boy in the legend, which was quite a coincidence.
However, there was no profile for this deceased body, only a list and number, making it difficult to imdiately make a judgnt. Huang Yi decided to personally enter that prison to take a look.
Since there were people nearby, it was inconvenient for Huang Yi to summon the entrance to the Heroes’ Prison there, so he had no choice but to control his body at the base to take out the "Book of Heroes" and summon the entrance to the Heroes’ Prison. He stepped inside with long strides.
Huang Yi arrived at the morgue and, following the corpse’s number, found the body nad Tidal Hunter. Leviathan.
The body of the Tidal Hunter was a giant, standing in the morgue like a mountain peak. Its skin was green, and its limbs had webs, resembling so kind of marine creature. Next to it lay an enormously huge anchor, all black and made of unknown tal, which must have been its weapon. However, Huang Yi couldn’t use the equipnt of these prison criminals; all the power contained within these items had been extracted, leaving no lethality, only pure raw materials. To use them, he would have to find one of the world’s top-level Divine Craftsn to slt the equipnt and then restore its power by re-forging it.
Huang Yi took a step forward, intending to get a closer look, but at that mont, he suddenly felt sothing unusual!
A faint sense of comfort surged through him!
He was slightly startled and carefully sensed it, but by then, that feeling had vanished without a trace.
This was the second ti such a sensation had occurred. He had briefly felt a similar comfort from that bizarre creature captured by the Undead Flying Dragon, but it had quickly disappeared. And now, he felt it again from this Tidal Hunter, unsure of the exact reason.
Suppressing the doubts in his heart, Huang Yi walked around the body, examining it closely.
This close inspection didn’t reveal any clues to Huang Yi; it seed that there was no real connection to the boy in the legend, only a shared na.
At that mont, Huang Yi suddenly realized sothing odd. This sea monster had existed since the Ancient Era when The Second World consisted only of the Eastern and Western Continents, which only split into over two hundred pieces during the Near Ancient Period. After such a massive change, the sea monster chose this particular continent instead of other places, which was obviously because the holand of that boy was on this continent.
With this revelation, the scope beca much narrower. The boy was from the Ancient Era, and his holand was in this region. If he indeed had made a contract with the King of the Fallen, Biliev, and suddenly acquired imnse strength, he should have been reasonably well-known. Finding soone from the Ancient Era who lived near this area and asking about Leviathan could perhaps lead to a clue.
And Huang Yi happened to know just such a person — Murloc Nightcrawler. Slark.
Huang Yi’s "Shadow Dance" skill was acquired from Slark, who had given him the talent blood for this ability after Huang Yi helped him find his holand.
Slark’s holand was in the Desolate Sands, which, compared to the boundless distances of The Second World, was very close to that seashore.
Huang Yi imdiately left the morgue and arrived in front of Slark’s jail cell.
At that mont, Slark’s mountainous figure sat motionless in the cell, his huge eyes staring at the dandelion planted in his chest.
Just then, Huang Yi suddenly felt that comfortable sensation again, which promptly disappeared.
Now, Huang Yi couldn’t ignore it any longer. If it had occurred once, he could have passed it off. Twice could be explained as coincidence, but three tis was definitely not normal!
Mysterious creatures, Tidehunter, Slark, what was the relationship among the three? Huang Yi furrowed his brow. The mysterious creatures and Slark were both related to The Seven Archdemons, but he was still unclear about the identity of the Tidehunter.
"Instakill, how did you get here?" Just then, Slark in the cell asked Huang Yi.
Regaining his composure, Huang Yi imdiately turned to look at Slark and stated his purpose for the visit, "Slark, I’ve co to ask you about sothing. Have you heard of a boy nad Leviathan who lived in the seas near your holand? He fell in love with a rmaid Princess but ultimately died for love," asked Huang Yi. The legend of the rmaid was so famous that it was bound to have spread to the nearby Desolate Sands. However, given that the Ancient Era spanned for so long and contained countless smaller epochs, Huang Yi was not sure if Slark and the Tidehunter belonged to the sa period.
"You’re talking about the Tidal Hunter, Leviathan!" At that mont, Slark blurted out, "The holand of the Tidal Hunter is indeed very close to mine, located on the seaside at the eastern fringe of the once Eastern Continent, not far from the Desolate Sands. Just cross a forest, and you would reach it. He was like , desiring strength, gifted with high talent, and thus was tempted by Biliev, the King of the Fallen, eventually signing a pact. We had both served under the command of Biliev, the King of the Fallen, knowing of each other but not on familiar terms. I only have this bit of knowledge about him. He was less fortunate than ; not long after signing the pact, he was secretly dispatched by Biliev to check on the movents of Death God’s Temple and was caught, ultimately ending up here."
"The Tidal Hunter is also related to The Seven Archdemons!" At that, Huang Yi confird the identity of the Tidal Hunter, making it easy to guess the origin of that comforting sensation.
The three instances of that comforting sensation were all related to The Seven Archdemons, and the only connection he previously had with The Seven Archdemons was when he killed those 300,000 people in Dragon City, after which the King of Hell granted him the title of The Eighth Great Demon King, "King of Slaughter."
Now it seed quite likely that it was this identity of The Eighth Great Demon King that gave him that comfort.
Before that, he had acquired the Heart of the Sand Thief King, which was also filled with the Power of Corruption, but at that ti, he felt no such comfort. This suggested that the comforting sensation could very well have arisen because he was granted the title of The Eighth Great Demon King.
He was unclear about the ultimate aning behind this comforting sensation; perhaps only The Seven Archdemons knew. If such beings wanted to deal with Huang Yi, it would be as easy as flipping a hand, they could play him to death without even showing themselves.
Faced with such a situation, the only thing he could do was to find more characters related to The Seven Archdemons to study further, besides Slark and the Tidal Hunter. He also needed to investigate the Sand Thief King and the Sea Monster, who had always been working under The Seven Archdemons, making them more valuable than the imprisoned Tidehunter and Slark.
"Slark, you’ve lived in the ocean for a long ti, do you know any characteristics of sea monsters?" continued Huang Yi.
Slark nodded and said as a matter of course, "I have lived in the ocean and am very familiar with sea monsters. However, there are many types of sea monsters, such as the Naga Siren, rmaid Sea Monster, Sea Serpent Witch, and so on. Which kind are you referring to?"
Huang Yi replied, "I want to know about the rmaid Sea Monster, the very princess the Tidal Hunter was once deeply in love with, who presumably was also tempted by Biliev, the King of the Fallen, and turned into a sea monster that has been surviving in that sea area until now."
"Oh! How pitiable she is, her own lover was killed by Biliev, the King of the Fallen, yet she has no idea, still laboring for her enemy," sighed Slark. "rmaids are naturally kind-hearted and excel at singing. Even after becoming a sea monster, they still retain a hint of their true nature. To my knowledge, rmaid Sea Monsters typically use singing as a way to kill. Once their song finishes, the enemy dies without pain. So if you encounter her, you could have the length of one song to prepare yourself."
"Thank you for sharing this information with ," Huang Yi nodded in thanks.
Judging by the rmaid’s thod of killing, he would have ample ti to talk to her and tell her about the Tidal Hunter, then carry out his own plan.
Next, Huang Yi returned to the morgue. He had only glanced over the Tidal Hunter’s body earlier, without a thorough search. Now that the identity was confird, a more detailed investigation was in order.
Standing in front of the Tidal Hunter’s body, which was as large as a small hill, Huang Yi’s body shimred, and he transford into the small and nimble Agile Cat Form, climbing on top of the corpse and ticulously began his search.
At that mont, Huang Yi’s eyes sparkled as he suddenly found several lines of small characters on the huge anchor beside him—
I sold my soul,
For a fallen eternity,
All to delve into the endless deep sea,
Searching for the one I deeply love...
