Now reading: Chapter 341 - 333 Altar Teleportation from Heroes' Prison, a Game novel by Huang Huayi.

Huang Yi looked around and saw torches everywhere in the forest, with mbers of the Hero Guild scouring for battle spoils. The air was filled with an excited aroma.

The battle had finally ended, a large Half-Beast Tribe of over a million had been wiped out, removing this nace for good. No one would need to hire assassins to kill him again.

It was a war without right or wrong. The Half-Beastn were not at fault, and even if it were Huang Yi who had dropped a treasure like "Soul Prelude," he would surely have sought revenge on the enemies as well.

And for Huang Yi to find peace, it was necessary to destroy this Half-Beast Tribe; that wasn’t wrong either.

The war was more like survival of the fittest, following the laws of nature.

Huang Yi mounted his Raptor and started wandering through the tribe. A few days earlier when he ca here searching for Qin Shiyu, his Treasure-sniffing Ability had detected several treasures. Though not as good as Legendary Equipnt, they could still attract attention in the Guild Warehouse.

Riding the Raptor at high speed, he quickly crossed the forest and passed through the ruined buildings, arriving at the location where he had previously found a treasure.

However, upon his arrival, he was slightly taken aback. His Treasure-sniffing Ability sensed no treasure anymore!

He was certain that a few days ago, when he was causing chaos in the tribe, there had definitely been a treasure hidden here!

"Clatter! Clatter! Clatter!" Right at that mont, a troop of the Hero Guild’s cavalry happened to pass by, each mber holding a torch, the flickering flas illuminating the surrounding forest.

Huang Yi imdiately called out to them, spurring his Raptor to the leader’s side and asking, "Has anyone co here to scavenge?"

"No!" The leader, visibly excited to be addressed by Huang Yi, replied, "Our division leader only just sent us here to search for spoils. This area hasn’t been scavenged before; we are the first team to co here looking for treasures."

"I see, continue with your search," Huang Yi nodded and waved them on.

A feeling of dread began to creep into Huang Yi’s heart at that mont. No one had searched here before, but the treasure had vanished. No bosses had dropped any loot during the battle either, and these abnormal signs suggested that soone must have already taken the treasure!

Almost imdiately, Huang Yi was confident that the Half-Beast Tribe hadn’t been completely annihilated; a group had escaped, and their actions were so covert that they had avoided the scouts of the Hero Guild!

With this in mind, Huang Yi imdiately sent a ssage to Sunset, urging him to deploy n to investigate in all directions, determined to locate that group of escapees!

Soon, each division of the tribe received orders. Troops with torches mounted their warhorses and sped off in all directions into the forest.

The dense sounds of horse hooves filled the night sky forest, and the swaying torches scattered like stars into every corner of the forest.

...

anwhile, Young Master Liu Ying stood on the altar amidst several hundred thousand Half-Beast descendants. They were ready to teleport and flee with the treasures they could carry from the tribe.

Around the altar, the Shamans were preparing to activate the ritual. The altar was so large that using it to teleport hundreds of thousands of people over great distances was an extrely rare thod. It had been built by their ancestors countless years ago, and they could only utilize this single opportunity now, which required an exceedingly lengthy ritual to activate.

At that mont, the night wind blew, rustling the leaves in the forest, helplessly swaying the wild grass on the altar, chilling the hearts of the hundreds of thousands of Half-Beastn. The calls of a few nightjars ca from the night sky, lodious and moving, but the crowd of Half-Beastn had no mood to appreciate it, as they sobbed quietly.

Liu Ying turned his head to look at the nightjars, and two lines of tears fell from his eyes again. His na ca from these birds; the night he was born, a flock of nightjars flew over the tribe, their lodious songs filling the night, followed by his own loud cries after birth. The Chieftain had held him and personally nad him Liu Ying, hoping he would be as free as the nightjars.

But now, the Chieftain father who had nad him was missing, possibly dead, and their ancestral ho was brutally destroyed this very night. From then on, they would be like holess dogs, forced to use the Altar Teleportation to flee to the strange lands of the south, shackled by the desire for revenge, their spirits no longer free.

Liu Ying, with eyes full of tears, gazed towards the direction of the tribe. Ever since the earth-shattering explosion had occurred and the brilliant light that seed like a teor had fallen and dissipated, the direction of the tribe had fallen utterly silent, as peaceful as death itself.

"Young Master Liu Ying, the ceremony to activate the altar has finished," a Half-Beastman hurriedly ran to him and reported, "The Shamans have killed enough beasts to obtain the Blood of Sacrifice required for the teleportation. Once the Hymn of Sacrifice is chanted, we can teleport to the Muguang Forest in the south."

Liu Ying turned to look and indeed, the large altar was now drenched in the blood of wild beasts, seeping into the structure built by their ancestors. anwhile, Shamans with ritual implents stood ready at the altar’s periter, awaiting his command to begin chanting the Hymn of Sacrifice and to start the teleportation officially.

Liu Ying looked at the hundreds of thousands of Half-Beastn and, suppressing his sorrow, proclaid loudly, "My fellow tribespeople, our tribe has fallen, but we must carry on the Fire Seed of our tribe. The altar is about to be activated and will transport us to the lands of the south, away from this calamity."

The crowd paused, taken aback, as the mont of parting was finally upon them.

That brought their reluctance and sorrow to a climax!

"No, I want to go back to the tribe and find my father! I don’t believe he’s dead!"

"I must go back to the tribe to find my brother!"

"I want to stay in my holand, I will die on this land if I must!"

For a mont, so Half-Beastn in the crowd began to shout. In the final monts, they made different choices.

"How dare you!" Young Master Liu Ying coldly snorted and rebuked, "Returning to the tribe is just a pointless sacrifice, the act of cowards, you will never have the chance to take revenge later. Have you not co to realize this?"

In the night sky, those screaming Half-Beastn suddenly fell silent, with only the sound of weeping remaining.

The night breeze blew quietly, blowing a cloud to cover the Bright Moon. Young Master Liu Ying finally gave orders to the Shamans surrounding the altar: "I declare, the ritual begins!"

As his voice fell, Shamans around the altar began to chant. They waved ancient Magic Wands and danced the ancestral Beast Dance, chanting lodies from deep in history. The eerie notes filled the night sky, mixing with the chilly night breeze.

"Boom!" With the chanting of the Shamans, the huge altar began to slowly sink, seemingly descending into the depths of the earth.

The weeping of the hundreds of thousands of Half-Beastn on the altar grew louder. One by one, the Half-Beastn looked towards the direction of their tribe, their holand; this would be the last ti they could see their ho.

"Good baby, sleep well, don’t cry!" a Half-Beastman mother said with tears streaming down, soothing the infant in her arms, but the infant’s body swayed from side to side, not sleeping peacefully.

"My treasure, you must rember, our tribe was destroyed by soone nad Instakill. You must grow up to be a strong warrior, to take revenge for us! I’m going to find your father now, farewell my child, your mother loves you forever!" The mother’s humming suddenly stopped, she bent down to kiss the child in her arms, and imdiately handed the infant over to another Half-Beastman beside her.

Following this, the Half-Beastman mother leapt from the altar, falling to the ground, and bravely charged towards the direction of the tribe.

She was going to find her husband, even if it ant turning into a pile of bones!

And the escape of this Half-Beastman mother sparked the rest of the Half-Beastn; suddenly, a few more Half-Beastn couldn’t contain themselves and leapt from the altar, bravely running toward the tribe!

The figures of the Half-Beastn charging towards the tribe were like moths to a fla, so resolute that their shapes deeply imprinted in Young Master Liu Ying’s eyes, piercing his heart.

These Half-Beastn, they never truly ca to realization.

"Wu wu wu!" At this point, the infant of the Half-Beastman mother seed to sense the noise around and awoke from its slumber, crying helplessly. And no matter how people tried to soothe, it wouldn’t stop, because their voices were not the familiar voice of its mother.

"Clip-clop! Clip-clop!" Just then, from the direction of the tribe’s forest, suddenly ca a series of urgent hoofbeats, growing louder as if a large troop was about to arrive here!

At the sa ti, from the direction of the sounds, there were strings of torches, the flickering flas seen from afar through the dense forest, casting an imdiate atmosphere of tension into the air.

At this mont, the chanting of the ritual reached its most hurried point; the altar descended to less than a ter from the ground, nearly completing the teleportation!

The sounds of the night wind, weeping, chanting, and hoofbeats intertwined; the glow of flas, moonlight, starlight, and teardrops all blended together.

Young Master Liu Ying stood motionless in the sinking altar, listening to the various sounds around him, observing the various lights, and gazing towards the direction of the tribe.

Tears boiled, the wind unusually cold

The sound of hoofbeats, disrupting the peaceful sleep

I am waiting, for the Hymn of Sacrifice to be completed

Leading our people, to write down the prayer

That tribe, pointlessly sacrificing

As the fire burns, the altar begins to sink

I am waiting, for the people to awaken

To reclaim the southern land anew...(To be continued. If you like this work, please visit Starting Point (qidian) to cast your Recomndation Tickets and Monthly Tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please read on m.qidian.)
