Now reading: Chapter 787 - 749: Winning Without a Fight2 from Heroes' Prison, a Game novel by Huang Huayi.

The fierce sounds of battle and the rivers of blood streaming down the streets seed to herald the downfall of this city into ruins. Countless war reporters scattered across various corners of the city, presenting the brutality of this war to viewers on forums and television channels.

The leader of the Hall of Famous Generals Guild, Lv Bu, was engaged in combat with the super first-class master Miyamoto Musashi! But Lv Bu was rely a first-class master, far from being Musashi’s match, pushed into a relentless retreat akin to his guild’s gradual march toward destruction.

At this mont, Musashi let out a cold laugh and suddenly launched a ferocious assault against Lv Bu. The Eastern Sword in his hand flashed with a stream of light, illuminating the dark night as if it was about to cleave Lv Bu in two!

But just then, in the air behind Musashi, a red figure suddenly appeared. It was a handso man dressed in uncommon red assassin garb, resembling a specter of the night, coming and going without a trace. He clubbed Musashi with a heavy blow, stunning him in place and saving Lv Bu’s life.

This red-clad assassin turned out to be Seeking Flowers, one of the Four Great Assassins of Hero’s Continent! Alongside Naless, Mirror Broken from Hero Guild, and Dragon Dominates the World from the Xuanyuan Guild, Seeking Flowers was counted among China’s top assassins. However, despite his illustrious reputation, his influence on the battlefield was still limited, only capable of occasional ambushes. Unless he could achieve the super first-class mastery akin to Dragon Spike, he could significantly sway the tide of battle.

"Big brother! Death God just went to assist Styx Sect Guild’s Wolf Mountain Territory, scaring off the Pope in just a few sentences," Seeking Flowers suddenly revealed a crucial piece of news to Lv Bu!

Lv Bu was stunned upon hearing this!

He hadn’t expected Huang Yi to possess such imnse capability, to scare off an entire legion with a few words! And it wasn’t just any legion—it was a legion personally led by the Pope!

His heart began to wrestle with internal conflict. If Huang Yi were willing to help, perhaps they could avert this catastrophe, just like Styx Sect Guild’s Wolf Mountain Territory.

But after much deliberation, he still couldn’t bring himself to ask.

The Hall of Famous Generals Guild and Huang Yi’s Hero Guild had a history of grudges. Though the animosity between them had lessened significantly during the hostage rescue operation on the Land of Dongying, so bitterness still lingered. Furthermore, they were presently under the ** Legion, in direct competition with the Hero Legion.

Seeking Flowers seed to notice Lv Bu’s hesitation and quickly urged, "Even Death God and Thunder God can set aside their deep hatred to join forces; why should we continue to dwell on these things? Hurry up and ask Death God for help! It’ll be too late if we delay any longer!"

Lv Bu frowned and continued to hesitate. Suddenly, he received a ssage. When he opened it, a joyful smile unconsciously crossed his face.

The ssage was from Huang Yi, a proactive offer of support! This was nothing short of a lifeline in a mont of crisis!

At this mont, Lv Bu’s heart filled with genuine gratitude! He quickly replied to Huang Yi, openly expressing his welco.

By this ti, Miyamoto Musashi had finally recovered from his dizziness and launched a fierce attack against Lv Bu once more!

"Miyamoto Musashi, your ti has co! Death God will be here soon!" Lv Bu suddenly seed full of confidence, his deanor transford, and his fighting style beca steadier, briefly matching Musashi evenly.

"Without your Guardian, you’re nothing but a useless pawn," Musashi said nonchalantly, sounding indifferent. But inwardly, he was becoming slightly wary.

The book *Heroes’ Prison* was initially contracted with Starting Point to be completed in 2 million words, but the current storyline cannot be wrapped up within that limit at all. At least tens of thousands of additional words are needed. I don’t want to end it hastily. So many foreshadowing plots have been written earlier; it’d be such a waste to rush the ending. Besides, my previous book *Cold Storage* ended poorly, and I won’t allow myself to make the sa mistake twice. This book will be written to completion no matter what.

*Heroes’ Prison* has one inherent flaw: its outline is incredibly rough. There’s no detailed frawork, and many plot points are nothing more than vague sketches. Moreover, a detailed database for character profiles, items, and relationships hasn’t been established; everything is made up on the fly. As the writing continues, these flaws have beco increasingly apparent, especially after the battle on the Dongying Continent.

Initially, *Heroes’ Prison* was just ant to be a typical grind-and-level-up story. I didn’t plan for it to dive so deeply into the plot. The pits and foreshadowing added later were all spontaneous ideas, making the story appear more mysterious and engaging by accident.

These pits were ant to construct a grand conspiracy—a massive sche overshadowing everyone in The Second World. What happened between the Divine Realm and the Demon Realm? Why did Death God vanish, and where did he go? Why did the forbidden Nefalem from Heavenly Law appear at this mont—is it a sign of sothing? How did Bloodhoof die? What exactly is the Mysterious Python?... All these seemingly unrelated threads are actually different facets of this colossal conspiracy. In the end, these threads will connect, unveiling the grand plot behind everything.

But in the outline, there’s only a rough skeleton of these ideas, not detailed specifics. So, the process of writing has beco increasingly challenging, especially in tying together various loose ends and fulfilling the earlier laid foreshadowing.

If a pit is dug, it must be filled, but it cannot simply be bulldozed and glossed over—that would result in a botched ending. To bring out the full value of these pits, they must all lead toward the sa conspiracy. Furthermore, every pit must be indispensable, with no missing links.

*Heroes’ Prison* is my first book to surpass 2 million words. Once it surpasses this word count, it becos difficult to control the narrative. Fortunately, I am confident I can handle it now, though there are tis I hit bottlenecks during transitions.

Also, I plan to gather all the foreshadowing threads in *Heroes’ Prison*. The records of foreshadowing I have kept so far are only what I currently rember, and I’m not sure if I missed any. So I’m calling for everyone’s help. I’ve pinned a thread in the Qidian Review Area specifically to collect foreshadowing threads—please feel free to reply there.

In a while, I’ll post the acknowledgnt list for contributions during this period. I’ve already replied to all the posts prior to April in the forum, and I am saving up the posts made after April for unified replies once a month. The forum had been lacking deputy moderators for a while, and now, at this opportune mont, three enthusiastic readers have applied for the role. I’ve appointed all three as deputy moderators—Wen Xiange, Unbeatable Blade, and Ying Lin. My thanks to you three. For every post, the deputy moderators will reply first, and I will review and then reply to all posts once a month. My QQ chat is not logged in daily, only every few days, and when logged in, I reply to ssages uniformly.

By the way, any QQ ssages sent between March 22 and April 1 were not received, so I couldn’t reply to them. If you ssaged during that ti, you might want to check your sending record and resend if needed.

Don’t forget to reply to the pinned post in the review area for collecting foreshadowing threads!

Thank you. *(To be continued. If you like this work, you are welco to vote for recomndation tickets and monthly tickets on Starting Point (qidian). Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please visit m.qidian for reading.)*
