During the reign of the 57th Palace Master of the Sea God Palace, the Tide Monarch, the Great General of the Palace, Crab Emperor, succumbed to the lure of the King of the Fallen, rebelled, and seized the position of Palace Master, imprisoning the Tide Monarch in the Thunder Sea.
In the Thunder Sea, the Tide Monarch t the Thunder Empress, and over ti, the two developed feelings for each other.
The Thunder Empress, cursed by the King of Curses, could only exist within the Thunder Sea. Leaving it would render her armless for eternity.
To help the Tide Monarch reclaim the Sea God Palace, the Thunder Empress, at the cost of severing her own arms and lifting her curse, left the Thunder Sea with her weapon, the Thunderbolt Staff, and went to the Sea God Palace to slay Crab Emperor. However, in his dying breath, Crab Emperor transferred his dark, fallen essence into the Thunder Empress’s wounds from her severed arms. The Thunder Empress eventually succumbed to corruption and beca the new ruler of the Sea God Palace, continuing Crab Emperor’s brutal dictatorship.
In the Thunder Sea, the Tide Monarch waited endlessly for the Thunder Empress’s return, sleeping nightly with her severed arms by his side, until he passed away with grief.
Three thousand years later, the corrupted essence within the Thunder Empress was fully dispelled. She finally rembered the Tide Monarch and returned to the Thunder Sea.
There, she found only her severed arms from centuries before. Resting quietly on those arms was a skeleton — the remains of the Tide Monarch, who had waited for her return until his death.
Overco with grief and rage, the Thunder Empress carried a fury of thunder and lightning on a mission of revenge against the Seven Archdemons. Yet, even through her Divine Enthronent, she tragically failed to eliminate any of them.
Sackley, a master blacksmith of the Ancient Goblins, passed through the Thunder Sea and, hearing the tale of the Thunder Empress and the Tide Monarch from a Sea Monster’s song, was deeply moved. He found the Empress’s severed arms and refined them into the Thunder Guard Bracers to forever cradle the skeleton of the Tide Monarch, preserving this love story for eternity.

Earlier, when Huang Yi obtained the Thunder Left Hand, he learned that these Epic Gauntlets were once found accidentally in the Thunder Sea by the lover of Leizes, a Guardian on the Hero’s Continent. However, that was not the true origin of the gauntlets.
Now that the Thunder Guard Bracers had been fully restored, their true backstory was revealed — they were the arms of none other than the Thunder Empress herself.
The Thunder Empress was the Ninth God Sealer of The Second World and one of only two Divine Enthronent achievers from the Remote Ancient Era. The first before her was the Sea God, and the one after her was Bloodhoof the Ascendant from the Ancient period.
It’s rumored that the Pope inherited the Thunder Empress’s legacy. Upon breaking through to the Holy Domain, the Pope’s signature Treasure, the Half Staff, triggered a phenonon of thunderbolts raining from the heavens. So speculate that this Half Staff is, in fact, part of the Thunderbolt Staff that once belonged to the Thunder Empress.
This Thunder Guard Bracers is undoubtedly top-level Epic Equipnt, as evident from its attached skills. Generally, Epic Equipnt cos with two attached skills — typically one active and one passive skill. However, these gauntlets exceptionally co with two active skills.
In addition to the Body of Lightning and Thunder skill, the Thunder Guard Bracers include a support-type active skill: Lightning Conductor. This skill can isolate external Perception and conceal identity.
Previously, Huang Yi had been exposed due to his equipnt. If he had activated the Lightning Conductor, enemies’ Perception abilities wouldn’t have detected his presence, his equipnt, or his aura. Combined with his Anti-Surveillance Passive Skill, he could nullify enemies’ tracking abilities as well. Without Perception or tracking, locating him would be significantly more difficult.
Moreover, this skill applies to both him and his Contract Partner, boosts Movent Speed by 10 tis, and has unlimited duration, making it perfect for traveling — unless disrupted by an attack.
On its base attributes, this Thunder Guard Bracers uniquely includes a Thorns Attribute — reflecting 20% of the damage received back to the attacker.
This was Huang Yi’s first item with a Thorns Attribute, a feature more common for Knights than for Warriors. It serves as both an offensive and defensive asset.
Having advanced to a Divine Class, Huang Yi unlocked four new Talents, one of which is Retaliation Mastery — ignoring all enemy Reflect Damage Attribute Effects while enhancing his own by 20%.
This significantly boosts his Thorns capability! For example, if an enemy deals 100 damage to him, the Thunder Guard Bracers reflect 20%, aning 20 damage is returned, leaving Huang Yi with 80 damage taken.
With the Retaliation Mastery Talent, the reflected amount gains an additional 20%, increasing to 24 damage returned, reducing Huang Yi’s actual damage taken to 76.
With this sixth piece of Epic Equipnt, Huang Yi could clearly feel his strength stepping up to another level.
He should now be the player with the most Epic Equipnt in the world, but this was only his assumption. The ranking system didn’t feature a Player Equipnt Leaderboard, so the reality remained unknown.
With this, the journey to find the Thunder Guard Bracers ca to a perfect conclusion, and it was ti to return.
Yet, as he gazed at the small pool in the room, a bold idea surfaced in his mind.
Since this Desolate Magic Temple was used for treating injuries of the Demon Clan, there should still be nurous heavily wounded demons here. Perhaps he could take advantage of the situation.
He imdiately sprang into action, diving back into the small waterways, returning to the massive Magic Pool, and venturing into another water channel to comnce his search.
At this mont, he activated the second attached skill of the Thunder Guard Bracers — Lightning Conductor, enveloping himself in lightning. As a result, enemies couldn’t perceive his presence. anwhile, his Movent Speed soared tenfold, allowing him to traverse the channels almost as fast as a flash of lightning.
Soon, he arrived at another room’s water outlet and peered at the small pool within.
This room contained another demon soaking in the pool. Its aura was intense, and it wasn’t critically injured.
Huang Yi dismissed the idea of attacking it and withdrew through the water channel back to the massive Magic Pool, heading into another channel.
Using the incredible speed of Lightning Conductor, he efficiently explored room after room.
Finally, on the seventh attempt, Huang Yi found a suitable target!
This demon was gravely wounded, its body riddled with injuries. Both arms had been severed, and its chest bore several large bleeding holes. It lay motionless in the pool, seemingly unconscious, likely carried there by others.
Huang Yi imdiately transford into human form and summoned Little Dragon!
Previously, he had refrained from summoning Little Dragon, as its Golden Holy Dragon aura brimming with Holy Aura was a natural counter to the Dark Breath, making it glaringly conspicuous in the Desolate Magic Temple. The Demon Clan could detect it instantly.
Now, however, Little Dragon was enveloped entirely in a layer of lightning, sealing its Holy Aura and rendering it undetectable by the demons.
The skill Lightning Conductor could even extend its effect to Contract Partners!
Huang Yi then raised his Bloodstained War Halberd and unleashed a Heavy Judgnt upon the demon with trendous force!
"Boom!" The demon was torn apart, its flesh flying everywhere. Already critically wounded and near death, it didn’t even regain consciousness.
After a flurry of attacks, Huang Yi finally killed the demon.
This demon, a Level 174 boss NPC, was equal to Huang Yi’s pre-Reincarnation Level. If Huang Yi had fought it pre-Reincarnation, the Experience Points rewarded wouldn’t have included any extra gains from level differences. However, now, he could enjoy the substantial bonus from the dozens-of-level gap.
Also, his headgear, God of Slaughter’s Era, had recently advanced to the Epic Tier, gaining a passive skill called Experience Gift — doubling Experience Points gained when killing bosses 30 levels above himself. This applied simultaneously to his Contract Partner as well.
