Red Cliffs City was the largest city occupied by the invading army on the Heroes’ Continent, jointly managed by armies from various nations.

In the City Hall of Red Cliffs City, two individuals were sitting gloomily.

The eting room was not lit; pale moonlight stread in at an angle, falling on the two, casting half their figures in light while the other half was shrouded in darkness.

The interplay of light and shadow created an eerie atmosphere.

"Martial Emperor, you’ve lost a whole Level 4 when using ’Demon King’s Descent,’ and after being killed, you dropped another level. You lost five levels altogether—that’s too significant a loss," said a bald man. His blue eyes looked even deeper under the moonlight as they stared at the man across from him, dressed in a samurai uniform.

"T.N.T, weren’t you the sa?" Miyamoto Musashi said grimly. "In the real world, God of Slaughter is the Freedom Organization’s number one warrior. He even killed the forr Chairman of the World Federation. Being killed by him in The Second World is hardly surprising."

T.N.T turned his head, gazing out at the glittering starry sky. After a mont of silence, he said, "Now that Yang Yuheng has ascended to the Heavenly Realm, our side’s highest-level Chess Saint was killed. It will take so ti for anyone else to ascend. For now, no one can challenge Yang Yuheng. The God of Slaughter is bound to take the initiative and lead Yang Yuheng to launch an attack on the regions we occupy. We must quickly find a way to counter Yang Yuheng. How about we don’t wait for the Pope and directly initiate the cataclysm? What do you think?"

"Fine!" Miyamoto Musashi nodded. "The Pope is too slippery and doesn’t collaborate with us demons as closely as we do. He has no intention of joining our Demon Clan. He only looks out for his own advantage. We don’t need to wait for him. Let the King send troops now and secretly assist us in attacking Heroes’ Continent!"

"Agreed! Characters like Unbeaten, who have been cultivated by the King of Annihilation for so long, should finally co out and kill!" T.N.T said, closing his eyes with a faint smile reappearing on his face.

That smile, half-bathed in moonlight and half-hidden in darkness, exuded an unsettling air.

...

anwhile, in the Central Continent, it was also nightti.

Huang Yi was in his independent quarters assigned by the academy, holding a textbook and diligently studying formation techniques under the flickering lamplight.

At that mont, he suddenly received a ssage. Opening it, he saw it was sent by Poet—

"God of Slaughter, Sharp Sword got back to . He agreed to et you. Go to the giant leaf tree on Heavenly Son Peak right now; he’s waiting for you there."

Upon receiving this ssage, Huang Yi imdiately closed his textbook, left his quarters, and headed straight for a nearby teleportation circle.

Today’s battle had only made him more eager to recruit super first-class masters. If Dao Feng hadn’t returned today, Yang Yuheng would have been killed by the invading army for sure, and the battle’s outco would have been completely different.

The influence of a super first-class master was imasurable! They possessed extraordinary abilities that manpower alone couldn’t counter. If there were insufficient troops, they could simply recruit more—with plenty of players on Heroes’ Continent. But a lack of super first-class masters was a true bottleneck. Recruiting even just one more would elevate the Hero Legion’s strength significantly.

Before long, Huang Yi teleported to Heavenly Son Peak at the Oskan Royal Academy.

Heavenly Son Peak was one of the academy’s most picturesque areas, where lush trees, rugged rocks, cascading waterfalls, and natural beauty abounded.

The highest point of Heavenly Son Peak was the top of a giant tree. This towering tree reached thousands of ters in height, piercing through the sky to where clouds lay beneath its crown. Presently, the weather was overcast, and looking up, one couldn’t even see its peak.

Huang Yi soared into the air, breaking through the cloud layer until he finally arrived at the treetop of the giant tree.

Atop the crown of the tree, five imnse leaves stretched out, each as vast as a plaza.

Standing there and looking down, one could see nothing but an endless expanse of white cloud seas. The enormous bright moon hung above the clouds, and its light laid across them as if the world below was made of cotton candy.

There, a solitary figure stood atop one of the giant leaves, gazing at the sea of clouds.

This man appeared to be about twenty years old, exceedingly young, and tall and slender. He carried a sharp, long sword on his back. Standing alone before the boundless sea of clouds, his robe fluttered in the night wind, his long, flowing hair swayed—a figure seemingly atop the pinnacle of the world, embodying the very essence of the sword’s ultimate pursuit, reminiscent of Dugu Qiubai.

Huang Yi flew closer and landed beside the man, turning to look at him.

This was his first eting with Sharp Sword!

"God of Slaughter, I’ve been looking forward to a duel with you!" Sharp Sword turned to Huang Yi and smiled faintly, his gaze as piercing as two sharp blades, brimming with undisguised combat intent.

At the martial tournant’s award ceremony, he had openly issued a challenge to Huang Yi in front of the entire world.

Huang Yi shook his head, clasped his hands behind his back, and looked at the cloud sea below. "I’m currently in reincarnation and not your match. If you want a fight, you can join the national war—there are no less than eight super first-class masters on the enemy’s side, enough for you to battle to your heart’s content."

"Fighting them holds no satisfaction. Only you and Dao Feng pique my interest," Sharp Sword said with a proud, upright posture, his tone as confident as his blade.

"But the reason I’m here today is to invite you to join the national war," Huang Yi turned to look at him seriously.

"The national war won’t be lost with you and Dao Feng around; I see no reason for defeat," Sharp Sword said confidently, not doubting for a mont.

Huang Yi replied gravely, "You’re mistaken. On the surface, Heroes’ Continent seems to have repelled the enemy’s assault. But this is rely the calm before the storm. The enemy will soon launch an unprecedented cataclysm that will engulf the entire Second World. At that ti, no one will be left unscathed—not even you."

"You’re wrong. I will be the exception," Sharp Sword said, closing his eyes slightly.

"What makes you the exception?" Huang Yi frowned. "When the entire Second World falls, how will you stay out of it?"

"There’s no need to persuade . I only do what interests . Saving the world does not pique my curiosity," Sharp Sword said flatly, refusing Huang Yi outright with his eyes shut.

Unsurprised by Sharp Sword’s direct rejection, Huang Yi continued, "You must have guessed my intention for seeking you out. Since you ca to see , that indicates the matter isn’t entirely hopeless. I assu you’ve prepared your terms and want to negotiate. Go ahead—na your terms. If it’s within my power, I will not withhold anything."

"I was waiting for that!" Sharp Sword suddenly opened his eyes. "My terms are simple: you need to tell the precise process of how you acquired each of your pieces of equipnt. And I an every intricate detail."

"You need that?" Huang Yi asked, puzzled. "Even if you knew how I got this equipnt, you wouldn’t be able to obtain it. These items are already in my possession—what’s the point?"

"You’re overthinking it. I’m just curious," Sharp Sword replied calmly.

"Fine, deal." Huang Yi agreed without hesitation. Since he already had the equipnt, sharing how he obtained them didn’t seem like a big deal.

"Hold on, I’m not finished!" Sharp Sword interrupted, looking intently at Huang Yi. "You also have sothing called a Barbarian God as your contracted creature—I want it."

"You need to borrow my Barbarian God?" Huang Yi asked again, surprised by Sharp Sword’s unusual request concerning his Demonic God Clone.

Sharp Sword shook his head and enunciated each word clearly, "Not borrow. I want it completely."

"You have the strangest demands!" Huang Yi rubbed his chin, deliberated briefly, then nodded. "Fine, I can give you one Barbarian God."

Thanks to Heroes’ Prison, he had countless corpse materials for crafting various Demonic God Clones. He simply had to spend another ten points of the Power of the Nefalem to create one for Sharp Sword. Of course, the Barbarian God he personally cultivated was off-limits.

However, since Sharp Sword wasn’t a Nefalem, he likely couldn’t even control the Barbarian God Simulacrum. Still, Huang Yi couldn’t fathom the reasoning behind this request.

"Alright, quickly join the Hero Legion! If you’re too late, it will all be aningless," Huang Yi said, preparing to leave.

"Wait, I’m not done!" Sharp Sword called out again, stopping Huang Yi in his tracks.

"You’re getting a bit greedy now. Just spit it out—what else do you want?" Huang Yi turned back, slightly exasperated.

Sharp Sword hesitated montarily, then pursed his lips and said, "God of Slaughter, could you give an autograph?"

"What? You want my autograph?" Huang Yi asked, utterly baffled by the third unexpected request from Sharp Sword. This one, in particular, was beyond his imagination.

"My sister is incredibly annoying. She’s a fan of yours and won’t stop pestering for your autograph. If I don’t fulfill her request, she starts crying," Sharp Sword shrugged, looking helpless.

"Uh... alright then. I have a sister too, though she’s not as troubleso." Huang Yi said, suddenly thinking of Xiao Chunzi, who had been busy with her studies lately and only occasionally logged into the ga.

"I’ve got paper and a quill ready for you—sign this!" Sharp Sword said, pulling out a piece of parchnt and a goose feather quill dipped in ink, handing them to Huang Yi.

Huang Yi deftly took the paper and pen, scribbling his signature with flair before shoving them back into Sharp Sword’s hands. Then, with a leap, he dove off the leaf, vanishing beneath the clouds, leaving the scene.

Sharp Sword held the paper up for a closer look. Suddenly, his eyelids twitched. He quickly glanced in the direction Huang Yi had left and shouted, "Hey! God of Slaughter! You’re supposed to be a super first-class master—how can you even ss up your own na? What’s with signing as ’Autumn Slaughter’? Are you trying to ss with ?" (To be continued.
