Hoshino's eyes narrowed. "Destroying Pyramid of Light? But I rember—it can't be destroyed."
"That's right. Not only is it immune to destruction, but its effect also activates! When Pyramid of Light's indestructibility is triggered, I can Special Summon Andro Sphinx and Sphinx Teleia from my Deck, Hand, or Graveyard!"

Earlier, Hoshino had managed to overpower the Sphinxes by banishing dusa Miyu, but that trick could only be used once.
"The Guardian Beasts blessed by the Pyramid of Light are virtually invincible. As long as you can't destroy it, Chiyuki Hoshino, you will never achieve victory!"
After setting two cards, Anubis ended his turn.

Flas surged across the field. Wielding a divine-slaying spear, Illya stepped forward once again.
"—Special Summon [Magical Girl – Karna Illya]!"
[Magical Girl – Karna Illya ★★★★★★★★ (Level 8)] [LIGHT] [Warrior/Fusion/Effect] [ATK 2800 / DEF 2000]
With her spear blazing, Illya declared boldly:
"I swear, this ti my clothes won't lt off again!"
"There's hope, Hoshino! With Karna Illya's ATK and Level, combined with the Field Spell's effect, she can defeat the Sphinxes perfectly..."
Yugi's excitent rose as Illya erged from the flas—until he rembered the biggest obstacle still remained.
"...Wait. The Pyramid of Light is still on the field."
"I activate the Continuous Trap Card—[Shadow Spell]!"
Of course, Anubis had predicted that his Sphinxes wouldn't be able to withstand Karna Illya's strength. Without hesitation, he sprang his Trap.
[Shadow Spell – Trap Card Effect: Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; its ATK decreases by 700, it cannot attack, and it cannot change its battle position.]
From the activated Trap, black chains burst forth, tearing through the flas and wrapping tightly around Illya's small fra, binding her in place.

Jokes aside, Anubis had effectively shut down Hoshino's counterattack strategy using Karna Illya.
Hoshino glanced at the muscular man opposite her and smirked.
"You're activating Traps before I even make a move. You're a lot more cautious than before."
"I told you—I am fighting with everything I have. I underestimated you once. I cannot afford to disappoint that person. I must win this duel, no matter what it takes!"
Anubis now carried himself with a seriousness completely different from before.
"But I never go back on my word. Before this turn ends, the Pyramid of Light will fall!"
Unlike Illya's childish declarations, Hoshino's words held weight. The Pyramid of Light would be destroyed. She would win this duel. And only the victor would walk away from this battle.
"You think I revived Illya just to take down your Sphinxes? Dream on!"
Her fingers glowed as she selected two Monster Cards on her Duel Disk. No Fusion Spell was needed—only the combined brilliance of two lights. The sight mirrored the mont when Hoshino previously fused Illya into Prisma Illya.
"Now, I fuse Dragon Priestess Miyu with Karna Illya!!"
Anubis's body tensed. "You're fusing into that again? It's useless! No matter how many tis you try, the light of the stars cannot pierce the power of Pyramid of Light!"
"Who told you 'Magical Girls' only have Prisma as their ultimate form?"
Hoshino's gaze fell upon Miyu and Illya, their hands firmly clasped together. In that mont, the purity of a magical girl's heart shone brighter than ever.
"This ti, I'm counting on you, Miyu! Beco the new moon that lights the heavens—"
"The Lunar Magical Girl!!"
