Xia Qingqian ignored him entirely, continuing straight ahead. Seeing that he didn’t chase after her, her tense heart began to relax.
But upon reaching the intersection, a car stopped right in front of her, missing her by just two centiters. She stretched out her hands to brace against the car, eyes tightly shut!
The next mont, a stern figure erged from the car, rushed directly to Xia Qingqian, and seized her wrist tightly. She opened her eyes abruptly, slightly dazed at the man who appeared in front of her, then joyfully threw her arms around him!

But she noticed a woman in the car with a shocked expression, an Eastern beauty, Xia Qingqian saw hints of animosity in her face, with cold glinting eyes fixed on Xia Qingqian.
Xia Qingqian shuddered, quickly pulling away from Beitang Yao’s embrace. Seeing the woman in the car, her nose tingled, eyes heated up, and her throat tightened.
"What’s wrong?" Beitang Yao sensed Xia Qingqian’s body trembling slightly until her hands pressed against his chest to push him away.
"Nothing, I’m fine now." Xia Qingqian glanced awkwardly at Beitang Yao, "Young Master, I didn’t an it." Her flickering eyes carried a hint of apology as they glanced slightly toward the car.
Who was Beitang Yao, if not soone who knew exactly what Xia Qingqian was worried about? He pulled her into his arms and said lightly, "Get in the car first, I’ll take you back."
He opened the back seat door for her, closed it securely, and then circled around the car back to the driver’s seat. As soon as he sat down, the woman beside him said, "Brother Yao, weren’t we going back? Why are we stopping here? Who is this sister?"
Beitang Yao gave a gentle smile to the woman in the passenger seat, reached out to stroke her smooth hair affectionately, and replied, "Ziqian, she is the sister who takes care of Brother Yao. From now on, if you need anything, just ask her for help, okay?"
