Xia Qingqian looked at the bowl of steaming, fragrant noodles in front of her on the dining table. It looked beautiful, with an aromatic egg on top and garnished with tomatoes and chopped green onions. She felt reluctant to eat it.
This bowl of noodles was personally prepared by Beitang Yao. She looked at it like a treasured gem, her eyes reflecting a soft, flowing light.
"How co you’re in a daze?" Beitang Yao noticed her stunned expression and reached out to gently rub her forehead, "Hurry up and taste to see how it is."
"It slls so good and tastes delicious!" she generously praised.
"You haven’t even picked up your chopsticks. How do you know it slls good and tastes delicious?" He suppressed a laugh, elegantly picked up the chopsticks, and handed them to her, "This is the first ti I’ve cooked for a woman."
As he said this, his face grew warm, but he quickly suppressed it, his gaze falling on the bowl of porridge in front of him, taking sip after sip.
Xia Qingqian had initially felt unsettled just seeing him cook. How could a man like a deity stoop to mundane chores? And now, hearing him say, ’This is the first ti I’ve cooked for a woman,’ she felt completely taken aback, truly overwheld with emotion, her eyes heated, she couldn’t help but choke up, "Yao, thank you!"
"Is a bowl of noodles enough to make you cry? Finish up and rest; we’ll return ho together tomorrow." He said softly.
"Weren’t you planning to leave the day after tomorrow?" Her heart skipped a beat as she slowly swallowed the smooth noodles.
"The matters are all settled, why stay here?" He raised his eyes slightly, casting a deep glance at her, then lifted the bowl to drink the last drop of porridge.
This bowl of millet porridge was an exquisite delicacy for him. He hadn’t eaten much today, with his stomach constantly churning with acid, and now this bowl of millet porridge was indeed his redy.
Xia Qingqian observed his actions. Although the gesture of lifting a bowl to drink might seem inelegant, in Beitang Yao’s interpretation, it was so graceful and charming it was hard to look away.
"What are you looking at? Never seen soone eat before?" He gently placed the bowl on the dining table, lightly setting the spoon beside it. His gaze fell back to her bowl, noticing she hadn’t touched it at all, prompting a hint of displeasure, "Didn’t you say it’s delicious? Why haven’t you made a move?"
"Young Master, there’s more porridge in the kitchen. I’ll go get it for you." Seeing him finish an entire bowl, she spoke up.
His face darkened, "Xia Qingqian, and what did you just call , hmm?"
She felt the intensity of his cold glare, quickly getting up to walk toward the kitchen, "I’ll get the porridge for you, don’t waste it!" She hurriedly retreated!
But her wrist was suddenly seized by a large hand like a vine, holding her tightly. She turned around, seeing Beitang Yao’s somber expression, her heart skipped a beat, crying out inwardly in despair. She reprimanded herself not once but dozens of tis internally!
"You always make the sa mistake over and over again. Are you deliberately seeking my punishnt?" With a slight exertion of force, she fell into his embrace, where he held her, biting her earlobe in punishnt, "If you dare do this again, I won’t care about your injuries and will take you imdiately!"
Xia Qingqian felt a frightful chill. Her face turned dark; indeed, Beitang Yao rely regarded her as an outlet for his desires! Just a tiny mistake warranted such a punishnt from him. Xia Qingqian thought to herself that it was a cautionary tale for all girls—unless inevitable, truly avoid provoking these CEO-type individuals, as the hurt is just too much!
