"Yao, I think you’d better avoid this situation." Watching the staff repeatedly run into issues, Monica nudged Beitang Yao with her elbow and shook her head, smiling.
"Why?" Beitang Yao raised an eyebrow.
Monica gave him a look: "Haven’t you noticed that your presence here is distracting? They’re losing their footing because of you, only focused on watching you and not doing their jobs properly. Xiao Qian has been exhausted for three hours because of this. Are you really going to let it continue like this? While you’re here, everyone is nervous. You should leave for now."
Indeed, Beitang Yao surveyed the scene following Monica’s advice, taking a long ti before saying, "Monica, I’ll leave her to you. Whatever she needs, help her."
"Hey hey! Yao, do you think I’m your subordinate? How dare you ask a renowned designer like to do nial tasks?" Monica crossed her arms, looking provocatively at Beitang Yao.
Beitang Yao returned the look with an indifferent gaze, coldly retorting, "Since we’re friends, it’s your duty to help. If you can’t do it, don’t say you can!" He is Xia Qingqian’s master, so he certainly has the right to choose what friends she should have.
Besides, from the beginning, he never intended for her to et his friends. It wasn’t necessary at all.
Monica was truly flustered by Beitang Yao’s words! She never expected him to say sothing so constructive.
By any analysis, Beitang Yao indeed seems to treat her as one of the staff. If this gets out, where would her reputation be? She looked at Beitang Yao’s indifferent silhouette, tempted to grab him by the collar and give him a stern talking-to!
"Everyone take a break; I need to touch up Xiao Qian’s makeup." Monica asked the photographers to stop their work and take a rest while she directly approached Xia Qingqian, pulling her towards the makeup room for a touch-up.
Monica gestured for Xia Qingqian to sit down. "Are you tired? I’ll pour you a glass of water."
Xia Qingqian was flattered and quickly stood up, shaking her head, "Monica, thank you, I can do it myself." She then went to the nearby water dispenser, filled two glasses, and handed one to Monica.
"When you’re with , you don’t need to be so restrained, okay? I’m not Beitang Yao; no need to be afraid of . Actually, I’m quite easygoing." Monica explained herself, seeing Xia Qingqian still a bit distant.
Speaking of Beitang Yao, Xia Qingqian asked, "Monica, where did Young Master go?" He had been here for a full three hours earlier, but now during the break, he was nowhere to be seen.
"Young Master?" Monica looked at Xia Qingqian with so confusion, asking, "Have you always called him Young Master?" She couldn’t believe that Beitang Yao did so many things he despised for Xia Qingqian, yet they still seed so distant.
Xia Qingqian was slightly surprised, her face turning slightly red, as she whispered, "No, he told to call him...by his na."
"Then why do you still call him Young Master?" Monica stifled a laugh; Xia Qingqian’s shy deanor was just too adorable and amusing.
"I’m not used to calling him by his na directly, and it doesn’t feel right." She pursed her lips, speaking softly.
"What’s there to be unaccustod or inappropriate about? You shouldn’t worry about whether he’s comfortable or not; calling him by his na shows your importance in his heart." Monica was giving a little lesson on perspective.
