Xia Qingqian stepped out of the black car gleaming under the night sky, explained her situation to the security guard at the gate, and hurried inside.
Xia Qingqian only looked for thesis defense materials from the bookshelf. Her dormitory was a triple room, and when her roommates saw her return, they just scoffed, lying on their beds playing on their computers.
From start to finish, Xia Qingqian’s lips held a faint smile. Since she couldn’t change others’ perceptions of her, she could only change her own thoughts.
The girls sharing a dormitory with her included Manli, the daughter of a high-ranking governnt official, and Sally, the daughter of a listed company chairman.
And she, Xia Qingqian, was rely a poor girl with excellent grades. From freshman year until now, they had spoken no more than three sentences to her.
"She really is being kept, huh? Seems like so people like doing shaless things." The whispers sounded, hovering lightly between Xia Qingqian’s ears.
Xia Qingqian’s hand paused montarily, her slightly raised lips abruptly drooping, her eyes dimming as she silently packed her things, letting those words invade her heart like venomous snakes.
"Such lowly people pollute the air just by living." An extrely cold and disdainful voice landed like a hamr.
"Knowing such a vile woman is truly our misfortune." The woman speaking pushed her computer aside, grabbed an air freshener, sprayed it in the air, glaring at Xia Qingqian with large eyes.
"Knowing what kind of woman she is, we should stay far away. Only Young Master Mu was foolish enough to let the entire school know his pursuit target is her... only to find out she’s a prostitute novelist..." Followed by the sound of typing, then silence.
Xia Qingqian lightly bit her lip, quickly tidying her belongings, eager to leave the dormitory that wouldn’t accept her, eager to leave the place filled with gossip.
She put her laptop and thesis defense materials in a bag, then gently closed the door. One door, two worlds. The world inside wasn’t her refuge, and the world outside, where could she find a foothold?
Because of Manli and Sally’s words, she was briefly held up. She gathered herself, then quickened her pace towards the school gate.
She hadn’t forgotten Young Master’s words: My ti is tight, co out quickly.
Young Master’s frosty tone still echoed around her ears, urging her to hasten.
A beautiful array of cherry blossoms blood as expected. As she walked on A University’s Sakura Avenue, a delicate fragrance wafted over her. At this ti, few students appeared here, choosing instead more hidden places for their trysts.
Only the yellow glow of the street lamps illuminated the avenue. In the light of the lamps and moon, her peripheral vision caught another tall figure besides her own shadow.
Without turning her head, she walked briskly. At the corner, she was suddenly pulled behind a canopy of vibrant cherry blossoms. She looked up abruptly, eting the gaze of a handso man. Xia Qingqian softly uttered, "Young Master Mu?" Her tone containing a hint of surprise.
"As you wished, all your worries are resolved, right?" Mu Liubing released Xia Qingqian’s wrist and slipped his hands into his pockets.
