When her back touched the cold glass, she felt the air suddenly beco very thin in the small elevator. Such thinness could stop a person from breathing and even take a person’s life.
An undercurrent was surging in the air. Beitang Yao just stood there, neither approaching nor retreating. However, his face gradually turned pale, weak, and gloomy. After an unknown period, Beitang Yao’s brow trembled slightly. He slowly lifted his head, took a step forward, and stood right in front of Xia Qingqian.
There was only a fist’s distance between them. Xia Qingqian was startled, her gaze scanning the solid ceiling, afraid that Beitang Yao might do sothing. She hurriedly warned, "Young Master, ... there’s a cara here..."
"Who told you there’s a cara in the president’s private elevator?" Beitang Yao raised an eyebrow, and seeing her eyes darting around frantically, his mood improved quite a bit.
"Everyone knows that elevators have CCTV. We, doing this, isn’t good for your image... right." She folded her hands secretly, praying that Beitang Yao would quickly step back. This kind of proximity made her feel like she wanted to die; she was nearly suffocated by his pressure.
"No matter where or when, you are mine. Are you afraid of others knowing how I treat you? Xia Qingqian, are you overestimating yourself." His jet-black eyes, like a starless night, narrowed slightly, but his cold and sarcastic words squeezed out through his teeth.
Upon hearing this, Xia Qingqian imdiately lowered her eyelids, hiding the fleeting glint in her eyes—a heart-piercing sense of loss. She originally wanted to consider his image but ended up causing this instead.
She only felt that she was the most ridiculous and pathetic person in the world, always using her warmth to try and touch soone else’s cold heart. Truly... truly oblivious to good intentions.
Yes, she overestimated herself. The things she did appeared to him as affected and pretentious, just clueless. So this was how he saw her.

Her hands at her sides clenched slightly, and she closed her eyes, trying to force back the tears that threatened to spill!
