Gazing at the night outside the window, she moved her burnt finger to her face, gently placing it on her lips—this was the wound that Young Master had personally bandaged for her.
A surge of warmth filled her heart. She had never seen such a Young Master before. The usually indifferent Young Master, when cleaning her wound, tried his best not to hurt her. That gentle action made her heart warm.

In a daze, she seed to hear the sound of a car breaking the silence outside. Suddenly, she opened her eyes, excitedly got out of bed, ran to the large window, hid behind the curtain, and watched Young Master’s car drive in until he stepped out of the car.
Under the moonlight, she seed to see Young Master looking in the direction of her room, and she quickly darted back, hiding her head.
The first thing Young Master did after getting out of the car was look at her room. Was he trying to see if she was asleep?
This realization made Xia Qingqian’s heart flutter frantically and miss several beats. She hurriedly returned to bed like a gust of wind, pulled the quilt over her, pretending to be asleep. Her ears, however, stood up, as if expecting so sound to enter.
After waiting for a mont, steady footsteps ca up the stairs, stopping right outside her room. She lay there tense, afraid to move a muscle. She thought the owner of the footsteps would push the door open, but about ten seconds later, the footsteps sounded again, heading back down the corridor, gradually fading away.
Followed by a faint snoring sound, her room and Beitang Yao’s room were connected, and as long as the window was open, outside sounds could be heard. So when Beitang Yao took a towel into the bathroom, the sound of running water ca in through the window.
Listening to the sound of the water, Xia Qingqian suddenly pulled the quilt over her head, hiding inside and fantasizing... What girl, upon seeing a handso man enter the bathroom for a shower, wouldn’t daydream about scenes so tantalizing they might make her nose bleed?
